Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this matter to our attention. We take the customer...
experience seriously here at Online City Tickets and would like to take the time to address [redacted]’s concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket Buyer’s and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.”When [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, they were directed to review their itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. [redacted] was then directed to review our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bolded message “All sales are final.” At this point, [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions. I have reviewed the Order Summary above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. Below this check-box, another message was displayed that read: “By clicking ‘Place Order’, your credit card will be charged the total purchase amount, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees.” This notice was followed by a button labeled “Place Order.” When [redacted] clicked this button, they signified their acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed their order. Online City Tickets provides a Money Back Guarantee on both our home page as well as at checkout for all purchased on our platform. We ensure that the tickets will arrive in time for the event, that they will gain you valid entry into the event, and that the tickets will be what you ordered or better. We have provided [redacted] tickets within that guarantee as indicated. We have been in constant contact with [redacted] regarding this issue, but have been unable to reach an amicable resolution. While our management team is available to handle any additional concerns that [redacted] may have, we consider this matter closed.Regards,OnlineCityTickets
The purchase was easy and a fast turnaround for the tickets!
It was a very fast and good experience
Do not purchase from this company. They will jack up your price, then refuse to refund the difference if prices drop. If you call to complain, they will have someone read from a script to explain that they will not give a refund because they merely brokered the deal between the buyer and seller. If asked for seller information, they will not tell you who you actually purchased from. This company is basically the middleman for bad deals an, in talking to people who work there, it is clear they spend their entire day fielding calls from upset and angry customers, who they will not help. This company has set themselves up with a business plan to screw over their customer base, whilst protecting their "sellers" and lining their own pockets.
These guys are crooks! They must be paying high dollars to link their website ahead of legitimate ticket sites. I ended up paying $190 for three tickets to circus for my kids, when tickets arrived face value was only $15. Shame on me for paying that but shame on them for price gouging and deceptive practices.
Was pretty easy paid and downloaded the tickets after they emailed them to me.
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I did not receive any emails from OnlineCityTickets.com (OCT). I understand that they have sent them but they provided me with no email address to add to my accepted users folder in my email and I feel they were marked as spam. The Company offered me a $200 OCT credit to use toward a future purchase. Being there service charge alone totaled $$124.50, it wouldn't come close to covering the charge of another event. Why would I accept a credit from a company that I believe accidentally put the wrong date change on a rescheduled concert and then backtracked to change it again and not understand this was their mistake. I will not spend one more dollar with this company and the credit for a future event would force me to do so. I want some sort of cash value. I understand their policy and I did check and did see that the concert date was changed. I also understand that the timing was perfect for me to sign on to their website during the small window when they had the date listed as being changed to March 17th. The agent I spoke with prior to speaking with management confirmed that he saw the date was incorrectly changed and kept apologizing for the confusion. If he understands it was a mistake and that their was understandable confusion, then how come OCT can't understand why I would like a monetary refund of some sort?
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take the customer experience seriously and would like to take the time to address Mr. [redacted]' concerns. First, we should explain that OnlineCityTickets.com is an online resale...
marketplace, which means we do not own or generate ticketsinstead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers.
OnlineCityTickets.com has contacted Mr. [redacted], and we feel we have reached a resolution that suits both parties. We consider this matter resolved. If Mr. [redacted] would like to attend another live event in the future, or if he has any questions about an order or our website, we welcome him to reach out to us.

At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address Mr. [redacted] concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers.Mr. [redacted] has stated that he was directed to our site by an official venue. However, it should be noted that we have no affiliation with any venue and our branding is intentionally different to distinguish our self from those of any other site. Directly on our website it states, “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by Scottrade Center.”
After selecting tickets Mr. [redacted] was directed to review his itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees per ticket, the price per ticket, and the total price of $1,181.95 in bold text. Mr. [redacted] stated he saw the fees displayed but was unaware it was per ticket though it clearly stated "x 5" next to the service fee. Mr. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box—and presented with the message in bold “All sales are final.” At this point, Mr. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions listed above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout.
Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process and displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Since customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.
We recently reached out to Mr. [redacted] to offer a resolution that would be amicable to both parties, stepping outside of the sales terms agreed to at checkout. However, Mr. [redacted] declined this offer. As Mr. [redacted] valid and authentic tickets were delivered on 10/27 prior to his event on 5/30/17, we consider this matter closed. We encourage Mr. [redacted] to contact our customer service team with any additional concerns he may have.

Using paid ads with [redacted], this vendor positioned themselves at the top of the page when recently doing a search for a specific show at a specific venue that I was going to purchase from [redacted]. I missed the trick and ordered tickets through them. I was only after my order posted that I realized I had been duped. After finding the tickets I wanted on [redacted] for the same show in the same venue in the same section of seats I was further horrified to find that I had spent nearly twice what [redacted] wanted for the same tickets. To put the final nail in the coffin, I am not able to get my tickets in advance (they are a gift). I need to wait until just before the show so Online City tickets can make a market for the tickets I purchased (which should be no problem for them given the price I paid).

OnlineCityTickets.com has contacted Ms.[redacted], and we feel we have reached a resolution that suits both parties. We now consider this issue closed. If Ms.[redacted] would like to attend another live event in the future, or if she has any questions about an order or our website, we welcome her to reach out to us.

Thank you for your response to this matter. Although Ms[redacted] continues to press forward with this matter, as we previously clarified, the agent she spoke to offered to correct the spelling of her name though she would not be able to cancel due to the "all sales are final" policy. Ms[redacted] disconnected the call shortly thereafter. Prior to placing the order on her behalf, the sales agent notified Ms[redacted] of the "all sales are final" policy and that she may be paying above face value, to which she verbally confirmed. In regards to the name on the ticket, this information is generated from the primary market as the name of the original purchaser. The name is simply information carried over to the secondary market, allowing the tickets to be completely transferable. Ms[redacted]'s order was placed on 4/27/2017 at 10:35 PM CST, the seller delivered her tickets the following morning. As Ms[redacted] was notified she was paying above face value, agreed to our terms and conditions, and attended her event with valid tickets, we consider this matter closed. If Ms[redacted] has additional concerns, she is welcome to contact our customer service team to discuss.Regards,Online City Tickets
I wanted to share my experience about my purchase of tickets through Online City Tickets.
When I ordered I was on Face book. I went through what I thought was the Box Office but was taken to this resale tickets store. I didn't realize it until after check out. When I seen I was paying more for my tickets than I thought...I really got worried!
I immediately called the company and they did get back to me right away. I also was successful in help from their live chat and email. I contacted them through every option and they was very pleasant and reassuring. The supervisor called me and answered all my concerns and I told him I would share a positive review as long as this all went smoothly. I really didn't care that I paid more for my tickets because I had found out that there was absolutely no tickets at all available through the box office, they was sold out! I had really good seats through Online City Tickets. My concern was that I wouldn't ever get my tickets at all after reading some awful reviews!
I chosen to get my tickets through email which was so much better than selecting through the mail. I knew I'd get them faster and eliminate the hassle of them being late in the mail.
I was told I'd get my tickets by email two days before the show. It could be sooner though. I actually got my tickets 16 days sooner by email! I was so thrilled!!!!
I even called the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh to ask them to check my tickets to be sure they were real. I was still worried about that! They looked it up and it came back with the name on my tickets, which was the person I bought them through at the Online City tickets. It was for the correct number of seats as well.
My tickets was for the Theresa Caputo show. We had really great seats there. Theresa actually walked right beside us in the aisle seats. It was wonderful.
I will be honest...Until we got through the doors and to our seats...I was worried over my tickets because of the reviews and the negative things I read about Online city tickets.
I wish I had been able to relax and enjoy the idea of the show I was buying tickets for. I was so very worried about it all. In the end I had worried for nothing! We had no trouble at all printing out our tickets or using the tickets. Everything did go smoothly!!!
I'd have to say if you are worried about your tickets, call them and do the live chat and send an email. I did all and they was very helpful. They was nice and explained how it all worked to me. The best part was that I was able to get great tickets with great seats when the box office was sold out completely! I am glad it worked out even if I fell into it by mistake. Yes I paid probably 80.00 more than I would have at box office but I'm glad I did!!! I will still always try to buy through the box office first but if I need to go through Online city Tickets ever again I won't be so crazy with worry.
I received the tickets and printed them. Your system was easy to work.

I am rejecting this response because: Online City Tickets has shown that it did not do any illegal
when selling concert tickets and that my own naiveté allowed me to be sucked
into buying tickets through a reseller rather than from the source. While I may have to “live with” the decision,
I do not accept it. There is a
difference between being not illegal and being right. First of all, the announcement of the ticket
sale appeared to come from the venue, but when the actual announcement from the
venue came, it stressed that the venue could not guarantee the validity of the
tickets bought from a reseller. I called
the venue and was told that until I presented the tickets on the day of the
concert, I would not know if they were valid.
The result, I purchased four more tickets. Secondly, at no point was I a provided a
breakdown that the face value of the tickets I purchased from Online City
Tickets was $35.50 apiece. The breakdown
I saw was a ticket price of $77.00, a service charge of $92.40 and a mailing
charge of $14.95. It was not until I saw
the face value of the tickets and talked to the venue that I realized the
extent of the price gouging. When I
purchased the additional four tickets, the tickets were from a similar section
(“way out there” according to the venue) sold at face value, there was no
service charge and the mailing fee was $8.
I realize that Online City Tickets says it guarantees the tickets, but I
really won’t know until I show up for the concert if they are even valid. Again, Online City Tickets may not have done
anything illegal, but what they do is price gouging and just plain wrong. What should have cost me $158.00 is costing
me $574.00!
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Online City Tickets has reached out to Mr. [redacted], and both parties have found an amicable resolution. We consider this matter resolved--and we hope that Mr. [redacted] will consider Online City Tickets for his future event ticket needs. If Mr....
[redacted] has any further questions or concerns regarding this or any other order, we welcome him to contact a member of our customer service team.
Received the tickets very fast. Great service.
Yes, the handling charge is ridiculous, but you have plenty of opportunities to back out before you finalize your purchase. My tickets were promised by August 11th; I got them 2 months before that in the mail. Great seats, great experience ([redacted] in St. Paul, MN). If you don't like the handling charge, don't click yes 3 times before purchase! If, like me, you really want the tickets and don't mind paying a handling charge for good seats, buy through Onlinecitytickets. I have no complaints.
It was a non stressful experience purchasing the tickets. I had no problems at all.
