East to navigate site. No issues using tickets at venue
Quick and easy.
The process was incredibly easy. They had a great selection and the prices were fair. I would be willing to try them again.
1st time customer. Haven't used tickets yet. Positive purchase experience thus far.
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this issue, as we here at Online City Tickets always appreciate the opportunity to address a customer’s concerns. Online City Tickets has been in contact with Mr. [redacted] and both parties have found an amicable resolution. In regards to Mr. [redacted]...
statement about the face value of the ticket, it should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means that we do not own or generate tickets—rather, we facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Mr. [redacted] has stated that he thought he was purchasing through the venue website. It must be noted that our website address and appearance are dissimilar to those of the venue. Additionally, at the top of every ticket listing page on our website it states, "We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue." When Mr. [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, he was directed to review his itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Mr. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bolded message “All sales are final.” At this point, Mr. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. During this process, Mr. [redacted] saw an even more in-depth order summary that displayed the number and prices of their tickets, delivery and service fees, and the total charge. We have reached out to Mr. [redacted] and reached an amicable resolution; as such, we consider this matter resolved. If Mr. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns regarding this or any other order, we encourage him to contact a member of our customer service team. Regards,Online City Tickets
The fees were extremely high!!!!!!
Thank you for your response regarding this matter. Though Mr. [redacted] continues to press forward, Online City Tickets maintains that all pricing details are disclosed to customers before any order is placed, including Ms. [redacted]’s. Mr. [redacted] continues to indicate that the pricing details were not divulged to Ms. [redacted], as we clarified in our previous response, this is inaccurate. Ms. [redacted] and the agent discussed the pricing details in relation to her order multiple times, including the fees associated with the order, before Ms. [redacted] agreed to the final price, our sales terms and conditions, and proceeded to have her order placed.Since responding to the initial claim, we have been in contact with Mr. [redacted] and offered a second resolution; however, this offer was also declined. As we have fully adhered to the sales terms, delivered Ms. [redacted]’s valid tickets prior to her event, and adequately addressed Mr. [redacted]’s concerns we consider this matter closed. If Mr. or Ms. [redacted] wishes to accept either resolution we have offered, we encourage them to contact our customer service.Regards,Online City Tickets
Great! Getting my tickets were fast and easy!
Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this matter to our attention. We take the customer experience...
seriously here at Online City Tickets and would like to take the time to address Ms. [redacted]’s concerns.
As a secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not directly affiliated with any artist or venue; rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holders. And yet while Online City Tickets does not own or generate tickets, we do process thousands of successful orders each day—and each order is given the full protection of our 100% Money Back Guarantee. This guarantee promises that any tickets customers purchase on our marketplace will be valid for entry to their event—and that if tickets are deemed invalid, the customer will receive a full refund. In our measures to maintain this high standard, we carefully screen each seller to ensure their listings are legitimate and distributed properly.
After investigating this matter with the seller and Ms. [redacted], we have determined that Ms. [redacted]’s tickets were not invalid as she was able to attend the event. As customer service is important to us, Online City Tickets has been in contact with Ms [redacted] and provided an amicable resolution for both parties. As such we consider this matter resolved. If Ms. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns regarding this or any other order, we welcome them to contact a member of our customer service team.

Quick and efficient
Yes, I received my tickets the very next day.
I figured the show would be sold out given that it was just days prior to the event and it's a popular show. I was happily surprised to get tickets and in good seats. A little pricey but not too bad given the popularity of the event, the seats and the short notice. And the process was smooth. No complaints.
was a little longer than anticipated to get thru all screens but other than that am pleased with service so far

At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address Mr. [redacted] concerns. Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers.
Mr. [redacted] claimed that the service fee relating to his order was not disclosed; this should be noted as inaccurate. On 11/26/2016 Ms. [redacted] selected tickets for the [redacted] event occurring on 8/15/2017 in Cleveland, OH. Mr. [redacted] was then directed to the checkout page. Prior to entering any payment information, Mr. [redacted] was prompted to select a delivery method. Once a method was selected, the message “Please note that your Total Charge has been updated” was presented to Mr. [redacted]. As different shipping methods vary in price, once a method is selected, customers are directed to review their order summary. This summary displayed Mr. [redacted] with his itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price of $880.55 in bold text. Mr. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box—and presented with the message in bold “All sales are final.” At this point, Mr. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions listed above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process and displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).”
Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.
Prior to receiving this claim, we were in contact with Mr. [redacted] to clarify this information. We have since received a dispute from Mr. [redacted]'s credit card company regarding this matter. Due to the nature of the dispute process, we are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open, and encourage Mr. [redacted] to contact his financial institution with any questions regarding its process or outcome. Mr. [redacted] was provided a detailed breakdown of his order total, including disclosure of all fees, prior to placing his order. As such, we consider this matter closed.

I am rejecting this response because: Nothing they say in response to my complaint addresses the point that they used a deceitful practice (misleading URL) to lead me into their site. There are over 135 similar complaints at the Consumer Affairs website. The web page gives no clear indication that you are on a Resellers page -- The big header reads OAKLAND TICKETS, the next biggest header says BROWSE EVENTS AT FOX THEATER OAKLAND and only when you read the small print does it say anything about their being a reseller. Online City Tickets used an intentionally misleading URL to trick me into thinking I was purchasing my ticket from the box office of the venue I was buying tickets for. In my case, I wanted to buy tickets for Van Morrison at the Fox Theater in Oakland. Online City Tickets uses the URL fox.theatreoakland.com. This is intentionally deceitful. Online City Tickets may be a legitimate business (I hope so for my sake) but they operate in a sleazy fashion.
Sincerely,
Duane [redacted]

transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. In reference to Mr. [redacted] concerns regarding the "face value" of the tickets that he purchased, as Online City Tickets is a secondary marketplace, all ticket prices are set by sellers based on the individual sellers’ personal assessments of a range of factors, including customer demand. This information is clearly stated throughout the checkout process. Mr. [redacted] stated he believed he was purchasing tickets directly from the venue. However, Mr. [redacted] was provided ample opportunity to understand the nature of his purchase and that he was not buying tickets from the primary market. Though Mr. [redacted] indicated that the venue directed him to our site, as a secondary market, we have no affiliation with any venue. Directly on the event listing page it states “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by Wells Fargo Center.” Once Mr. [redacted] selected his event, [redacted] on 3/1/2017, he was directed to view all available tickets. The top of this page clearly specifies, “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.” After selecting tickets in Section: 205 Row: 9, Mr. [redacted] navigated to our checkout page. Here he was directed to review his itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price of $203.25 in bold text. Below his order summary, Mr. [redacted] was again presented with the message, “We are a resale marketplace. We are not a box office or venue. This site is not owned by any venue.” Mr. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Though Mr. [redacted] has requested his order be canceled, since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. Mr. [redacted] placed his order on 12/19/2016 and immediately received and downloaded his valid tickets. Later, on 12/21/2016, Mr. [redacted] downloaded his tickets again for his event occurring on 3/1/2017. In addition to this current claim, Mr. [redacted] has filed a dispute with his financial institution regarding this transaction. Due to the nature of the dispute process, we are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open, and encourage Mr. [redacted] to contact his financial institution with any questions regarding its process or outcome. As Mr. [redacted] was provided with ample opportunity to review all order details, we currently consider this matter closed. Regards, Online City Tickets
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take the customer experience seriously and would like to take the time to address [redacted] concerns. We should explain that OnlineCityTickets.com is an online exchange, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we facilitate...
transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. This means that the prices of tickets listed on our site are set independently by sellers, not OnlineCityTickets, based on those sellers’ assessments of changing market factors such as customer demand. This price is not based on the face value, and may change at any time. This fact is noted on every ticket page and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: ""We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.""[redacted] claims that she did not receive the correct tickets for seats in the section that she requested. However, this is inaccurate; when [redacted] selected tickets to her event, she chose tickets marked Section: LAWN Row: GA. The tickets received, by [redacted] own admission, were for seats in the LAWN section— the section she requested when placing her order. When [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, she was directed to review her itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Then, [redacted] was directed to review our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bolded message “All sales are final.” At this point, she was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions. I have reviewed the Order Summary above,"" and a check box that she needed to click to continue with checkout. Below this check-box, another message was displayed that, in [redacted]'s case, read: “By clicking ‘Place Order’, your credit card will be charged $381.35, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees.” This notice was followed by a button labeled “Place Order.” When [redacted] clicked this button, she signified her acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed her order. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process—from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Additionally, all sellers on our site are notified as soon as an order for their tickets is placed, which means we are unable to cancel orders or offer full refunds. [redacted] was made aware of this fact, and made an educated, conscious decision to purchase tickets from our site.OnlineCityTickets.com has contacted [redacted], and we feel we have reached a resolution that suits both parties. We now consider this issue closed. If [redacted] would like to attend another live event in the future, or if she has any questions about an order or our website, we welcome her to reach out to us.Thank you,OnlineCityTickets
