We went to One Main Financial to get a loan after I had our child about years ago We were making our payments on time and doing fine until we fell on hard times, family illness and job layoffs We enlisted the help of National Debt Relief to take on our debt, negotiate with our creditors and help us get out of debt without filing for bankruptcy All was fine, we did exactly as we were told by National Debt Relief by directing all our creditors to them by phone and mail We made our payments to the National Debt Relief and then closed our account Our credit reports show our One Main Debt as closed and purchased by another party Our credit score has been rising and all has been well until.......I get served that I am being civilly sued by One Main Financial for over $9,000.00!!!!! We had no idea there was an issue or that we still even owed them money! I sent them letters via certified mail to their attorneys and I have never received a reply so now I am forced into court to possibly have my wages garnished or worse! I offered to negotiate with them and they refuse to talk to meI feel like this is all a scam to get more money from us that we do not owe! How can out Credit report look good and show them as a closed debt yet they are suing me for more money!!!! No other creditor is bothering us, they all show they are closed as wellOne Main is ruthless, and love nothing more than to ruin good peoples lives that are just trying to get by! We pay our bills and our debt, we are not the type to just blow off creditors, we tried to do the right thing and survive at the same time! So, when you think your doing the right thing, these vultures come in and try to ruin you with no negotiation Sure, they give anybody money but you will pay for it the rest of your life!

let me start by saying please read reviews before letting OneMain Financial work up a loan for youI embarked on getting a loan to pay off several bills and the get caught up on auto loani applied for a loan thru Onemain, around the end of August Several days in I called to get status of loan and was told it with underwriting, a day later was called and asked if I had collateral, yes, I Have a boat, so they took information regarding my boat, at which point Friday august I was told the loan was approvedThe loan rep asked me to bring boat to their office, so they could take pictures and get vin number from the boatAfter pulling boat to the office and getting that taken care of I was then asked to come into office on Tuesday sept to finish up paper work on the loanI was unable to obtain my trailer title until Thursday sept 6, minutes before my appt to finalize the loan I receive a call and was required to purchase insurance on my boat since the loan amount requested was high, ok no problem Friday sept 7th I acquire insurance for the boatI then go to office thinking this is it I can sign for the loan, well no the rep tells me I need to add them as a LOSS Payee, just in case something happens to boat they have interest in receiving their funds that was loaned to meSo, the rep calls my insurance company explains to them the situation and has them complete a new insurance binder sent over with OneMain name on the binderSo that took all day, I called insurance they finally got binder changed, however my rep had left for the daySo, I called office first thing Monday morning Septand was told my rep was not in today, come in tomorrow to finish up loanTuesday Sept11, I call first thing and my rep says MrY*** I was out yesterday give me time to look over the insurance policy, ok I call several times during the day with no answer or call back, I knew something was wrong when my calls went unanswered and sent to voicemail, they were avoiding meThursday Sept12, I receive an email at 10:pm telling me loan was declinedNOW IT WASN'T SO MUCH THAT THE LOAN WAS DECLINED, THAT THEY TOOK ME THRU ALL THE HASSLE OF BRING BOAT TO OFFICE, ASKING TO ME GET INSURANCE, AND ADDING THEM TO THE POLICY TO THEM TURN AROUND AND SAY LOAN IS DECLINED, AFTER TELLING ME IT WAS APPROVED

OneMain financial has help me when I needed them most and I'm thankful for the loan they offered meI would recommend to all that wants to try and applied

$was sent by the Fenton, MO location to pay off a credit card I had through *** BankWell, apparently check never made it to *** Bank but it was cashed by someoneHave had to file all kinds of paperworkStill waiting to find out where the $went toNever went to my accountMaking monthly payments and hoping have an answer soonFenton, MO personnel have been helpful but sometimes it seems like they have an "oh well" attitude about the whole thingNot really sure who is to blame - *** Bank or One Main
