Dear Ms. [redacted]We received your complaint, addressed to the Revdex.com, regarding the accountreferenced above. Comenity Bank issues Woman Within@ credit card accounts, and we arehere to assist you with all account-related questions or concerns. I appreciate the opportunity torespond to...

your concerns. We understand from your complaint that you allege that you did not know you had this accountuntil you checked your credit bureau report. At this time you would fike a history of the account, and you would like to settle theaccount for $100.00.Please find the detailed account history below. I have enclosed a copy of the account CreditCard Agreement (CCA), as well as copies of the billing statements which show the accountactivity that comprised the account balance and delinquencies which were reported to the creditbureaus. Use of the account, or failure to close the account within 30 days of receiving the CCAindicated your acceptance of the terms of the agreement, including the assessment of anyfinance charges and fees. Please understand that Comenity Bank and Woman Within are two separate entitles. ComenityBank is responsible for addressing questions related to Woman Within@ credit card accounts, while Woman Within is responsible for handling matters related to sales, merchandiseprocessing, returns, shipping, and merchandise quality.I have spoken to Woman Within on your behalf, and they have advised that this credit cardaccount was opened online on February 26, 2013, when you placed your first order. They havealso verified your order details. Your charges were processed on a 90-day deferred paymentplan. Items purchased on a deferred billing plan are not added to your credit card accountbalance until the promotional time period is complete. Deferred purchases that are returnedduring the deferment period will have the charge and credit processed at the time of return, which may result in charges to your credit card prior to the expiration of the 90 day deferment.Your first order was placed on February 26, 2013, for a black jacket. This item was shipped onFebruary 27, 2013, to your address above. The order was piaced on a 90-day deferredpurchase plan and was charged to your Woman Within account on May 28, 2013.Your second order was placed on March 29, 2013, for a black bootie, black hosiery, dark brownbootie, white light pink bra, and white bra. These items were shipped on April 1, 2013, to youraddress listed above. This order was placed on a 90-day deferred purchase plan and wascharged to your Woman Within account on July 1, 2013. On May 15, 2015, you returned thewhite bra, and on July 3, 2013, you returned the white light pink bra.I have reviewed your account, as well as the applicable billing statements, and the Bank is ableto confirm the charges applied to your credit card account correspond with the catalog's orderinformation.Billing statements were sent via US mail, to an address on [redacted] in[redacted] from May 16, 2013, through January 16, 2014. Your account was written offon February 13, 2014, with an unpaid balance of $391.46. We received your payment of$195.73 on November 28, 2014, which was to be a settlement of the account. Dear [redacted]: We received your complaint, submitted to the Revdex.com, regarding the above-referenced account. Comenity Bank issues Victoria’s Secret/PINK credit cards, and we are here to help answer account-related questions. Your complaint was forwarded to my...

attention, and I appreciate the opportunity to assist you. Your complaint states that you paid the account in full under the agreement of a settlement, and the account or negative entries were to be removed from your credit file. You are requesting a confirmation letter of removal or deletion, and if not, you plan on taking legal action. After reviewing your account information with the Bank and at the credit bureaus, here is what we have noted. • The last purchase of $34.56 was charged to your account on June 7, 2012. • The last billing statement, issued on December 25, 2012, reflected a balance of $245.06. • The last payment on your account was in the amount of $0.00. • The account wrote-off due to non-payment on January 25, 2013, with a write-off balance of $250.31. • The Bank then sold the account to Portfolio Recovery on May 21, 2014. When an account is sold to another entity, the outstanding balance on the credit bureau reporting from the former creditor becomes zero. Since your account was sold, your credit report reflects a zero balance owed to Comenity Bank as of the date of the account transfer. Your account will continue to show that it was “charged-off” even after the balance is adjusted to $0.00 since this reflects that the account balance was not paid to the Bank. Also, the date an account is sold does not affect the length of time for which the debt is reported to the credit reporting agencies. Delinquent account typically will report for seven years from the date the account first became delinquent (not from the date of sale or date of last activity). Please be advised that Comenity Bank has no record of you settling the account balance prior to the account being transferred to Portfolio Recovery. If you believe that you settled the account balance with Comenity Bank prior to the transfer, we would need documentation from you, which can be mailed to my attention to the address listed above, or faxed to my attention at ###-###-####. If your settlement of the account was with Portfolio Recovery, we encourage you to contact them directly at ###-###-####, to discuss the information that is being reported to your credit file. We hope this information is helpful. If you have further questions or concerns regarding the account, please contact Portfolio Recovery at the number provided. Sincerely, Shawnda Y[redacted] [redacted]

when I originally called Avenue about the issue with the credit card I was told that the account closed which is why I put absolutely no thought into the account until I received a statement last week, the first statement that I've received in over a year. I am not willing to pay a company over 370 in charges when my original was 120ish and paid off in full. I will continue to fight this and don't accept your suggestion of hardship plans I don't owe 370 in late fees.

Dear Ms. [redacted]We received your complaint, addressed to the Revdex.com, regarding the account  referenced above. Comenity Bank issues the roomplace credit card accounts, and we respond to account-related questions. Your correspondence was forwarded to my attention, and I appreciate...

the opportunity to respond to your concerns.Your complaint indicates that a purchase was made in January 2015, and was placed on a 12 month no interest promotional plan. You made an additional purchase in March 2015 that was placed on a 60 month fixed interest promotional plan and you want your earlier purchase transferred to the 60 month fixed interest plan as well. You wrote a letter of dispute asking to be removed from the 12 month no interest promotional plan and have your purchase transferred to the 60 month fixed interest plan. You state that when we added the purchase back to your account, all your payments were misapplied which resulting in more interest being accrued. You state that you have been advised that the Bank would honor the 60 month fixed interest plan; however, it has not been changed. You are requesting that the interest be adjusted as you were told and that the account interest be waived. It was a pleasure speaking with you on March 31, 2016. During our conversation we agreed to place the revolving balance of $2,328.93 to a promotional plan of 60 month low APR of 10.99% with equal payments required. Your next statement will be released on April 15, 2016, and it will show all the details of your plan. Please take time to review carefully. We hope this information is helpful. Should you have any other questions or concerns regarding this account, please feel free to contact me at ###-###-####, ext. [redacted] (TDD/TTY ###-###-####). I will be happy to assist you.Sincerely,Rosa M[redacted]

Dear [redacted]   Comenity Bank (Bank) has received your correspondence regarding the above-referenced accounts. Comenity Bank issues the Talbots credit card. We are here to answer your questions and assist with your concerns.   You state you made a charge on your Talbots...

card in December of 2016. You further state when you spoke with a Talbots representative, you were advised that you had two accounts; as such, you closed out one of the accounts. When you received your statement, you accidentally made your electronic payment to the closed account. Although you were told this matter was going to be taken care of when you spoke with representatives of the Bank, the problem has not been rectified. You continued to receive statements with assessed interest and penalties, and you have been called numerous times by the Bank regarding the balance. You are requesting to have the calls stopped, your credit fixed, and your account adjusted. You are also requesting to be called and notified that you owe no money. We sincerely apologize for any frustration or inconvenience this matter may have caused you.   I have reviewed your accounts, and I am happy to share my findings.   Our records indicate the Talbots account ending in [redacted] was opened on November 19, 2011. On March 12, 2014, the account was closed, at your request.   Our records indicate the Talbots account ending in [redacted] opened on August 27, 2014. On November 21, 2016, a billing statement was issued reflecting a balance of $175.30 and a minimum payment of $27.00 due by December 17, 2016.   On December 16, 2016, a payment of $175.30 posted to the Talbots account ending in [redacted].   Thank you for speaking with me on April 13, 2017. As a follow up to our conversation, please be advised, we have transferred the payment of $175.30 from the Talbots account ending in [redacted] to the Talbots account ending in [redacted]. Also, in the interest of customer service, the Bank has issued credits totaling $17.89 to the Talbots account ending in [redacted], to remove the previously assessed late fees and finance charges. Please be assured, on April 13, 2017, the Talbots account ending in [redacted] was closed, at your request. The account balance, as of today’s date, is zero.     Notification was sent to the credit reporting-agencies, regarding the Talbots account ending in [redacted], to remove the negative payment information. This update should appear on your credit file within the next 45 calendar days.     Based upon your complaint, the Bank reviewed the applicable phone conversations and billing disputes. Matters of this nature are referred to management so additional coaching/training can be provided to our associates. Comenity Bank strives to provide each of our customers with an excellent customer service experience, and we truly regret that you received less than that.          I hope you have found this information to be helpful. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at ###-###-####.             Sincerely,  Laura R[redacted]

Dear Ms. [redacted]: We received your complaint, submitted to the Revdex.com, regarding the above-noted account(s). Comenity Bank issues Victoria’s Secret Angel/PINK credit card accounts, and we are here to help answer account-related questions. Your complaint was forwarded...

to my attention, and I appreciate the opportunity to assist you. We understand from your complaint that you had a fraudulent charge of $190.00 applied to your account in December 2014. You filed a fraud claim and were to receive a form in the mail. You state that during the investigation you were asked to make payment. You also state that the account was reported late to the credit bureaus and you were charged multiple late fees. As you were upset with this matter, you paid the account in full and asked for the account to be closed. After getting notice that you were not responsible for the charge, you state that you requested a refund for paying the charge. However, you were advised that since you paid the amount, you assumed liability for the fraudulent charge and would not receive your money back. We have reviewed our records and we sincerely apologize for any frustration or inconvenience this matter has caused you. Bank records indicate that there were three attempts to send you the Statement of Fraud and Forgery (SOFF) when you filed the fraud claim on the $190.00 charge that was applied to your account on December 6, 2014. The account was noted that the SOFF was sent; however, until the SOFF is returned, an actual fraud case is not established. Additionally, as you had other charges totaling $115.81, you were still responsible to pay for those charges. Once the SOFF was received, the Bank’s Account Protection team opened a fraud case, case #[redacted], and [redacted] was the investigator assigned to the case. A fraud case can take up to 90 days for completion, during which time, the customer is not responsible to make payment for the fraudulent amount, and the credit bureau is notified of the pending dispute case. On April 9, 2015, Account Protection finalized the fraud case and concluded that you were not responsible for the charge. As such, the account was closed as a “Fraud Write-Off”, and a new Victoria’s Secret Angel account was established for you. Additionally, you were sent a confirmation letter, dated, April 10, 2015. As you did not make a payment towards the owed balance, less the fraud charge, your account was charged a late fee and finance charge. However, your account was not reported delinquent during this time. In the interest of customer service, we issued credits totaling $32.17, to refund the previous fees assessed. Also, as the Bank concluded you were not responsible for the charge, we have requested you be sent a refund. The refund amount which includes credit of the bank fees totals $222.17. You will receive the refund separately by check in 7-10 days. Please be assured that both accounts referenced above are closed and no further purchases can be made to the accounts. If you wish to reapply in the future, you can do so at the store, or you may apply online. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused you, and we hope this information is helpful. Should you have further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at ###-###-####, ext. [redacted] (TDD/TTY ###-###-####). I will be happy to assist you. Sincerely, [redacted] Consumer Relations Specialist

Now they are telling me I still owe them 12.50 when I spoke to them on the phone and payed the balance off with all the fees on 10/5  for the amount of 150.39 and double checked with my bank the amount went through on October 6 for 150.39. I do now owe anything else I spoke to a manager on 10/5 and payed off my card and was told my account would be closed. Dear Ms. [redacted] We received your complaint, submitted to the Revdex.com, regarding the above-noted account.  Comenity Bank issues Victoria’s Secret/PINKcredit cards, and we are here to help answer all account-related questions.  Your complaint was...

forwarded to my attention for review, and I appreciate the opportunity to assist you.  We understand from your correspondence that you are requesting a verification of debt for the above-noted account.  You believe the account is not reportingcorrectly, and you request that the account is removed from your credit report.  Please find a summary of your Victoria’s Secret/PINK Credit Card account below.  I have enclosed a copy of the account Credit Card Agreement (CCA), as well as copies of billing statements which show the account activity that comprised the account balance and delinquencies which are reporting to the credit bureaus.  The Victoria’s Secret/PINK credit card was opened on June 8, 2011; use of the account, or failure to close the account within 30 days of receiving the CCA indicated your acceptance of the terms of the agreement, including the assessment of any finance charges and fees.  The last purchase of $81.00 was made on January 29, 2012, and the last payment of $50.00 was received on March 25, 2012.  The account was permanently closed and written off, due to non-payment, on January 18, 2013, with a balance of  $285.31. Additionally, the Victoria’s Secret/PINK credit card account was sold to Portfolio Recovery on June 18, 2014.  When an account is sold to another entity, the outstanding balance on the credit bureau reporting from the former creditor becomes zero.  Since your account was sold, your credit report reflects a zero balance owed to  Comenity Bank as of the date of the account transfer. Your account will continue to show that it was “charged off” even after the balance is adjusted to $0.00 since this reflects that the account balance was not paid to the Bank.  Also, the date an account is sold does not affect the length of time for which the debt is reported to the credit-reporting agencies. Delinquent accounts typically will report for seven years from the date the account first became delinquent (not from the date of sale or date of last activity). Comenity Bank is required by law to report factual data to the credit bureaus with regard to account activity.  At this time,  Comenity Bank finds no errors in its reporting of your account to the credit bureaus.   If you have further questions or concerns regarding the account, please do not hesitate to contact me at ###-###-####, or ###-###-####, ext. [redacted] (TDD/TTY ###-###-####).  I will be happy to assist you.Sincerely,Justina M[redacted] CC: Revdex.com Tell us why here...
