Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Regards, [redacted]

This repair would need to be done at a Ford dealership. The defect is behind the lens, and I would assume that might be why there is a small amount of moisture in this light. These Ford dealerships have been denying the repair because there is an acceptable amount of moisture in the lens – its within their acceptable standards. If a Ford service representative inspected the light, they may be willing to goodwill the part to keep the customer happy.

Consumer called, I have not received the promised card as of yet. My calls there are passed along and I get the run around.

Mr. [redacted]'s claims are completely and totally false. At no time was this vehicle offered to Mr. [redacted] at a price of $21,500. The texts that he has attached in his response are fabricated. The first never came from an employee of this dealership and the second isn't even for the truck that Mr. [redacted] purchased. That is for a completely different truck that is still for sale. I have attached screenshots of Mr. [redacted]'s actual [redacted] page that supports our claim that he knew that he was paying $28,000 for the truck (he ultimately paid $27,800 because we offered him an additional $200 in savings at the time of delivery). Mr. [redacted] reached out to friends on [redacted] to see if they thought our price was fair. It's apparent based on the responses he received that he and his friends knew the deal was more than fair. Mr. [redacted] also made contact with the previous owner of the truck he purchased and was aware of the truck's history and use. Mr. [redacted] even thanked him when he bought it. Furthermore, Mr. [redacted] made several visits to the dealership and was never put under any duress to sign. He knew what he was paying and signed in person. Not a single document was forged as he suggests. If needed, camera footage from our showroom may show Mr. [redacted] in our finance office signing. In addition, the two employees that Mr. [redacted] refers to had nothing to do with the reconditioning, inspection, sale or signing of this vehicle. Their opinion is uncredible because they had NOTHING to do with sale.

There must be confusion on the part of the customer - satellite radio trial periods are generally 3 months, not even 6. There has never been a 1 year trial period. In addition, there is no implied warranty on glass of any kind, especially for an issue 8 months after delivery. The dealership covered...

the cost of attempting to buff the glass for the customer, but it was not to his satisfaction. Unfortunately, the dealership is not willing to offer anything in addition to this customer.

A full refund of the truck.

The truck was delivered to Mr. [redacted] with 6/32" of tire tread depth, far more than the 2/32" of tread required to pass New York State Inspection. The dealership has offered to purchase 2 new tires for him and he could purchase the other 2. He felt that our prices were too high. In an effort to...

satisfy the customer, the dealership is willing to contribute $500 towards a new set of tires. If he feels that our prices are too high, he can use the money towards a set that he can find at a lower price.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The date of the unauthorized credit inquiry was 5-21-16, not 5-27-16, as stated in the letter which was attached to that last response.  So, the letter which Joe Basil Chevrolet has previously stated that they sent in July was actually incorrect.  This is ridiculous that I'm still trying to get this resolved and no one can seem to get it right.  It's obvious that there was an error on their part, yet I'm the one who has to keep going back and forth here just to get this fixed.  If they had just done what I asked the first time around, before I ever went to the Revdex.com, this would have been taken care of.  Summing up one more time...there was a hard credit inquiry done on 4-22-16 which showed up under my sister's name [redacted] on my credit report and then an unauthorized hard credit inquiry on 5-21-16 which was supposed to be for my sister was done and also showed up on my credit report.  I would like for them to write a and submit a new letter which contains the correct information.  Then, I would like a copy of that letter so that I can follow up on this with [redacted]  Regards,[redacted]

Well she did bring here vehicle here for repairs her adjuster from [redacted] did come out and appraise  the damage we then customer to get ok to start repairs she said do not do anything I have to talk to my insurance company that was the last we heard from her until she  called to see if...

vehicle was done when she told us not to work on vehicle ?. As far as the amount of the estimate  that also has nothing to do with us they tell us rather the vehicle is repairable or not as of 1-12-16 I called her adjuster Jim dowing from [redacted] and he said that as far as the repairs we are allset  on this vehicle and if she does have any questions that they should be directed at [redacted] since they are the ones that wrote what to be repaired and what parts to use if any questions my name is Thomas S[redacted]  and I am the shop manager.

previously complained (complaint # [redacted]) that Basil Chevrolet in did not refund the sales tax that they collected on an extended warranty that I bought from them and subsequently cancelled a few days later. My previous complaint (#[redacted]) was considered closed by Revdex.com as the dealers response to the complaint was that they would refund the $166.80 sales tax to me by check. That was TWO WEEKS AGO! I have not received my $166.80 refund check, nor do I get any of my calls to the dealer returned regarding my refund. I am requesting my complaint not be considered closed as the dealer has not complied with the solution they agreed to when Revdex.com contacted them. Also, your website automatically considers a complaint closed if they get no reply within 5 days.Sent me my refund Check in the amount of $166.80 that I paid for sales tax on the contract that I cancelled.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am not shocked by Joe Basil Chevrolet's response.  They do not strive on customer service and seem to be very greedy.  We were not notified of storage fees until the very end and received nothing in writing from them.  We asked them to put a new wheel and tire on the front so we could come pick up however they decided to raise the price from $600 on our body shop estimate to $1000 plus charge storage fees.  There are so many holes in their response that it is comical.  Our fleet company has no authority to authorize body shop repairs on our behalf because we do not carry insurance with them.  For them to say that they authorized repairs is absurd.  Not once did Joe Basil contact Jeff Hark or myself prior to us telling them we were picking up the van.  Seems they are making up lies to cover themselves now.
What I am going to do is dispute the charge on my Master Card since they think they are in the right.  The credit card company will ask for written proof that we approved the repairs, which there are none.  They will also ask for a signed receipt of services which again they can not provide one since they never asked us to sign off on these bogus charges.  I am also going to write a letter to  General Motors/Chevrolet stating the dissatisfaction with the dealership and their customer service.  We have 140 vehicles in our fleet and 85% of those are GM products.  I will not let one dealership ruin our reputation with GM products however I want them to know how we were treated.  What I would like to see is Joe Basil come up with a much better policy on storage fees than what they have, especially for customers that have vehicles towed in and do not personally walk in to their shop.  It may be posted in their shop, I'm not sure because no one was willing to send me a picture, but I do know there is nothing in writing showing their storage fee policy.  Jordan in the body shop said his manager told him the policy would be printed on the invoice but of course it was not.  I have a feeling they made this up just to charge us a fee.
I have attached the invoice that "should have" the storage fee policy listed but it does not.  I'm also attaching the body shop estimate.  I will be submitting this to our credit card company as well.
Lack of customer service is the biggest issue here.  We have been in business for over 110 years and we strive on customer service.  If we had treated one of our customer's like this we would have done everything possible to make it right!!  Regards,[redacted]

Tell us why here...this vehicle has no open recalls per GM. This vehicle was purchased used 11/30/14. The repairs are not covered by warranty and are the customers responsibility. We are not able to reimburse customer for repairs.

Mr. [redacted] came into our dealership to purchase this truck, visually inspected it parked and on a vehicle lift in our shop. He was 100% aware of the price that he was paying for this truck, signed every form (we have copies, he apparently lost his), and was 100% aware of the terms of this deal. Mr....

[redacted] took it upon himself to contact the previous owner (he found their contact information on his own)to discuss the condition of the truck and any issues it may have had it in the past, and still decided to purchase the truck. In fact, we have screen shots from Facebook that confirm that Mr.[redacted] was aware of the price he was paying, that he was receiving a good deal on the truck, and was even congratulated by the previous owner on the purchase. The dealership has offered to repair or repurchase Mr. [redacted]'s truck. He originally elected to sell it back to us, but then decided to keep it and left the dealership with it. His offer to sell us the truck back expires at the end of business on Friday, November 4th.

We regret Mrs. [redacted] had issues with her reimbursement from her bank GM Financial but had worked with her in getting her refund dating back to 7/ 31/2015.  We have been contact with her and the bank many times and on the last set on exchanges starting on 9/10/2015 worked on getting a...

resolution as soon as possible. On 9/16/2015 received conformation that her check was to be overnighted to her.  This information was shared with her the morning of the 16th and Mrs. [redacted] received her payment from GM Financial Bank on 9/17/2015. As to the $38.61 she feels we slighted her on we are sending her a $100 check card registered mail on 9/29/2015 to reimburse her for the extra charges she feels we cost her.

the customer's factory bumper to bumper warranty is expired. the customer may have an extended warranty . the customer was quoted a $75.00 diagnostic fee if the concern was not covered by the extended warranty. we were not able to duplicate the concern while in shop. we spoke with Jason on Friday 5/19/17 and waived the $75.00 fee. the customer was not charged and we appoligized for the inconvience.
