Tell us why here...We have no control over the insurance company or *** *** who have both denied the customers claimUnfortunately the engine block harness that burned up is no longer serviceable and we have not been unable to locate a useable harness to attempt a repair for the
customerThe owner of this dealership was willing to attempt to fix this vehicle if we found suitable parts but we were unable toThe vehicle was here for several months but under investigation from their insurance company and then it was under investigation from *** ***The customer authorized us to repair the body work and was going to tow it home and repair it himselfAfter the body damage was complete the customer decided he wanted us to fix it knowing the harness was discontinuedSadly after the customer tried to make a scene in front of customers at the dealership and then took his chewing gum out of his mouth and tried throwing it in a employees face and then threating to beat the employee we were forced to contact the authoritiesWe did drop the vehicle off at the customer's house at our own expense

The vehicle was in fact previously sold, but the consumer did not back out of the deal because of an inspection issueThere are certain things that are out of our control, this inspection issue being one of themWe did as much as we possibly could to make the situation as convenient as possible for the consumerUnfortunately, we cannot remove any inquiries from a customer's credit report - some of which would be there even if they hadn't actually purchased a vehicleWe can still complete the sale of this vehicle, we just have to wait for the vehicle to pass inspectionWe are still working on getting the vehicle to pass

The customer purchased the vehicle on 12/with the anticipation of taking delivery on 1/The vehicle would not pass inspection because it needed to have the vehicle's monitor's resetThis is a common problem that is taking an uncommon amount of time to fixWe have put over miles on the
vehicle in an attempt to reset these monitors without successThe customer has been in a dealership rental car at no charge for week and has been in constant communication with the dealershipWe were upfront with the customer and told them that it may take up to a week to get some of these stubborn vehicles to pass. When I attempted to reach out to the customer, they did not answer but called the salesperson back and told him that he is the only person they want to speak withThe dealership offered other vehicles to the customer, but they declinedWe also told the customer that they had the option to return the rental car and pick up their trade at any time - we didn't expect them to wait the time it may take for the vehicle to pass inspectionWe are still driving the vehicle in an attempt to reset these monitorsIn addition, the deal itself was agreed to at a higher payment than what the customer was willing to pay once they entered our finance officeIn an effort to secure their business, they dealership reduced the price an additional $(which was already below our cost) to achieve the NEW payment they were willing to acceptIn most circumstances, we can and do provide a relatively quick deliveryThis particular vehicle provided unusual issues that the dealership did its best to try to remedyWe provided the customer with transportation at no charge, had an employee spend over miles on the road in one week attempting to reset the monitors and offered the customer other vehicles at a discount

The taillight is not damaged, it has a cosmetic defect behind the lens, which may or may not be the reason that the lens has moisture in itThere is no crack or damage to the lightThe performance of the light is affected in no way, this is simply a cosmetic issueTwo Ford dealerships have
inspected this taillight and both times have denied replacing it under Manufacturer's warranty because the moisture is acceptable by their standardsThe customer had multiple opportunities to inspect this vehicleUnfortunately the dealership cannot absorb the cost to replace a taillight over a cosmetic issue that is so difficult to see that even the Manufacturer is denying the warranty claimThe customer should be appealing to Ford, not the dealership

the customer's factory bumper to bumper warranty is expiredthe customer may have an extended warranty the customer was quoted a $diagnostic fee if the concern was not covered by the extended warrantywe were not able to duplicate the concern while in shopwe spoke with Jason on Friday 5/19/and waived the $feethe customer was not charged and we appoligized for the inconvience

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I reject the offerPlease explain to me how there are different warranty contracts? The one you are showing is different than what you handed me when I bought the carThat's a red flagAlso I still would like a response to the word "sometimes" I have to authorize a teardown? Bottom line is it's every time you bring your car inThis contract is not worded properlySo if it's sometimes who determines that? The warranty company (which you never contacted)So with the warranty covering all internal parts (which it states), why would you need approval? You already verified it's an internal engine problem? Also when I spoke on the phone to the service manager he told me the last time this happened they service associate made a mistakeThen I bring it in this time and she says it was a one time courtesy to youThis is unbelievableI've drove miles each way to get my oil changed every 3k miles (to honor the contract) and then you guys pull thisI will not accept any resolution except my car being repaired.Regards,*** ***

I do not accept this because I should have been told before I took the test drive and l also had to go back to the dealer a second time to fill out a slip and was not told by the a second sales man that I would not receive it

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. You are advertising "same day" and better yet "1-hour" deliveryYou also sold me a vehicle that could not pass inspection and then told me I could not take it to my own mechanicYes, you did give me a rental vehicle in the meantime but I did not come into your business for a rental vehicle and more inquiries to be put on my credit report (and on my husbands) to only get my own car backYour advertising and irresponsibility has caused inconvenience and frustrations on to the consumer and is absolutely unacceptable. [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]The dealership still claims that my car does not qualify for the Drive Clean Rebate Attached is a copy of the DEALER IMPLEMENTATION MANUAL provided on the NYSERDA Drive Clean Website under Dealer Resources If you refer to the second paragraph of section on page which states the following : Registered dealer loaner vehicles may be eligible for the program under the floor model, test drive, rollback and unwind provision if the vehicle is coming out of loaner car service and offered to an eligible consumer for purchase or leaseThe original vehicle registration must be in the dealership’s nameThe vehicle must still be considered new by the vehicle manufacturer with regards to warranty provisions or for the purposes of manufacturer rebates, etcIn addition to the documentation required for all applications, the following documentation is required: copy of the original MV-from when the dealer purchased the vehicle; copy of the original dealer registration; copy of the original purchase agreement from the OEM to the dealer, and written confirmation from the dealership certifying that a) the vehicle is a registered dealer loaner that is being sold or leased to a consumer and b) the vehicle is still considered new by the vehicle manufacturer for warranty provisions and for purposes of any existing manufacturer rebates. This is my exact situation, I bought a loaner vehicle that was registered by the dealership prior to me buying the vehicle I have documentation showing that this vehicle was purchased as NEW according to Chevrolet and Joe Basil's Given those facts, I believe that I am entitled to this rebate in which Joe Basil's failed to apply for in a timely manner resulting in a loss of $ I made it a specific point (with my wife as a witness) to ask everyone we discussed the vehicle purchase with, including the salesman and the financial guy, if the vehicle did in fact qualify for the rebate I was told by several people that it did qualify and was reassured of this again at point of sale

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The date of the unauthorized credit inquiry was 5-21-16, not 5-27-16, as stated in the letter which was attached to that last response So, the letter which Joe Basil Chevrolet has previously stated that they sent in July was actually incorrect This is ridiculous that I'm still trying to get this resolved and no one can seem to get it right It's obvious that there was an error on their part, yet I'm the one who has to keep going back and forth here just to get this fixed If they had just done what I asked the first time around, before I ever went to the Revdex.com, this would have been taken care of Summing up one more time...there was a hard credit inquiry done on 4-22-which showed up under my sister's name *** *** on my credit report and then an unauthorized hard credit inquiry on 5-21-which was supposed to be for my sister was done and also showed up on my credit report I would like for them to write a and submit a new letter which contains the correct information Then, I would like a copy of that letter so that I can follow up on this with ** *** Regards,*** ***

I originally contacted the Revdex.com in July and had received notice that Basil Chevrolet would be
contacting ** *** to have the hard credit inquiries removed from my credit reportHere's the text of my original complaint (complaint * ***): "Complaint: I leased a vehicle from this dealership in April When my sister leased a vehicle from them in May 2016, they mistakenly entered my information into their system, resulting in an unauthorized hard credit inquiry showing up on my credit reportThe actual item on my credit report isn't even in my name; it's my sister's name, but all of my additional information which made it show up on MY reportAfter numerous attempts to get this removed, I've gotten nowhere** *** has stated that they will file to have this unauthorized inquiry removed, but the dealership must provide them with an at fault letter that essentially states that the dealership made an error in performing that inquirySounds simple enough, but it's been a month of back and forth on this and no one will just help me and get this doneDesired Settlement: I would like for Basil Chevrolet to provide the at fault letter so that I can get it to ** *** to have them proceed with removing this from my credit reportIf it's that easy for them to make this kind of mistake, then there MUST be some protocol for how this gets fixed** *** was pretty straightforward with what needs to be done (the letter)Basil Chevrolet seems to be the problem here." The resolution offered by Joe Basil Chevrolet was that they would contact ** *** and have the hard credit inquiries removedI've just pulled my credit reports again, because I felt that I've allowed a sufficient amount of time for this to process, only to find that I still have unauthorized hard credit inquiries showing on my Transunion Credit ReportThey have dropped off of the Equifax credit report, but not TransunionIn fact, the Transunion report shows that they won't even drop off until 2018, which means that unless Joe Basil Chevrolet fixes their mistake, I'm stuck with the consequences of their error for another years! So, basically, I'm back at square one hereCan someone please find a way to follow up on this to make sure that these unauthorized hard credit inquiries are removed from my Transunion Credit Report?I would like for Joe Basil Chevrolet to follow up with ** *** in order to ensure that these unauthorized hard credit inquiries are removed from my credit report, including my Transunion Credit Report

We did write a estimate on ** *** vehicle unfortunately the bumper did not come with a pad from GM we would have no idea that that's the way it came till we opened the box we offered ** *** a discount on the rear pad and also offered to put it on at no labor charge but he
thought that we should just give him the part at no cost if we knew the pad did not come with the rear bumper we sure would have put it on the estimate to start with

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,*** *** Okay, lets get this all straightThe gum was childish, but ONLY happened after *** said he would call the police because *** was yellingand the gum was thrown at the ground, and there were no threats of harmBut we're getting away from the real problem hereWe had our truck towed to you on April 29thAfter it was dropped off, we went to your facility because we were in search of a third vehicleSo even though we bought a vehicle which ended up not being a great purchase, we were still willing to go there, and buy another oneYour used sales team would not budge on any pricing, and given the situation, should haveThe next day I went to ***, and after they heard the situation we willing to help on any front they wouldSo then, there was email correspondence and numerous phone calls between *** and ***We did okay the body work, but you also sent an estimate on doing the engine workSo *** called and *** said that Joe Basil would just doing to wiring themselves but could not guarantee the workAt that time, we were also waiting to hear what GM had to sayAfter GM denied the claim because they couldn't find the source (which Basil never found that either since the engine compartment is as we left it), we talked to *** again and he said the offer still stands, Basil will attempt to do the wiringWe thought about it for a couple days and then *** called to give him the go ahead, and *** said that you guys didn't want any part of itThe conversation progressed and it was decided that *** would look into getting the wiring harness that had been discontinuedTime kept passing, and *** kept saying he was lookingSo then *** called the week of August 29th, and *** said you guys found a wiring harness and that once you receive it, you will begin work and that we should have the truck either 9/or 9/So *** called on the 8th when he hadn't heard anything and *** said you received the part but there was dirt on it so you wouldn't put it in which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heardFinally, *** went in there on 9/and asked *** if he could see the part*** refused*** asked if he could purchase the part, *** refusedThats when *** got upsetYou guys have had the truck since 4/29, no progress, there's supposedly a part in your facility that could work but you don't want to put it in because there dirt on it and when he asked if he could see it, he was refused thatAnyone in this situation would be madI understand you are of companies involved in this, however, you are a Chevrolet dealershipA Chevrolet dealer should be able to fix a Chevrolet vehicleIts not like Joe down the road is qualified to, Basil isSo it is my understanding that *** Basil does not stand behind the products it sells, and could have done much more to repair this truck but never actually triedIt's not like we were asking for the work for free, we are paying customers that wanted our vehicle fixed, and that failed to happen

the customer owns the car and is responsible to authorize tear down to determine the exact cause of failurewe will then call the extended warranty company to give them the exact cause of failure and estimate of repairs per the contractIf the repairs are covered by the extended warranty , the customer is only responsible for their deductiblewe have no problem repairing the customers vehicle once he authorizes tear down per the contractthank you
