The taillight is not damaged, it has a cosmetic defect behind the lens, which may or may not be the reason that the lens has moisture in itThere is no crack or damage to the lightThe performance of the light is affected in no way, this is simply a cosmetic issueTwo Ford dealerships have
inspected this taillight and both times have denied replacing it under Manufacturer's warranty because the moisture is acceptable by their standardsThe customer had multiple opportunities to inspect this vehicleUnfortunately the dealership cannot absorb the cost to replace a taillight over a cosmetic issue that is so difficult to see that even the Manufacturer is denying the warranty claimThe customer should be appealing to Ford, not the dealership
Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,*** *** Okay, lets get this all straightThe gum was childish, but ONLY happened after *** said he would call the police because *** was yellingand the gum was thrown at the ground, and there were no threats of harmBut we're getting away from the real problem hereWe had our truck towed to you on April 29thAfter it was dropped off, we went to your facility because we were in search of a third vehicleSo even though we bought a vehicle which ended up not being a great purchase, we were still willing to go there, and buy another oneYour used sales team would not budge on any pricing, and given the situation, should haveThe next day I went to ***, and after they heard the situation we willing to help on any front they wouldSo then, there was email correspondence and numerous phone calls between *** and ***We did okay the body work, but you also sent an estimate on doing the engine workSo *** called and *** said that Joe Basil would just doing to wiring themselves but could not guarantee the workAt that time, we were also waiting to hear what GM had to sayAfter GM denied the claim because they couldn't find the source (which Basil never found that either since the engine compartment is as we left it), we talked to *** again and he said the offer still stands, Basil will attempt to do the wiringWe thought about it for a couple days and then *** called to give him the go ahead, and *** said that you guys didn't want any part of itThe conversation progressed and it was decided that *** would look into getting the wiring harness that had been discontinuedTime kept passing, and *** kept saying he was lookingSo then *** called the week of August 29th, and *** said you guys found a wiring harness and that once you receive it, you will begin work and that we should have the truck either 9/or 9/So *** called on the 8th when he hadn't heard anything and *** said you received the part but there was dirt on it so you wouldn't put it in which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heardFinally, *** went in there on 9/and asked *** if he could see the part*** refused*** asked if he could purchase the part, *** refusedThats when *** got upsetYou guys have had the truck since 4/29, no progress, there's supposedly a part in your facility that could work but you don't want to put it in because there dirt on it and when he asked if he could see it, he was refused thatAnyone in this situation would be madI understand you are of companies involved in this, however, you are a Chevrolet dealershipA Chevrolet dealer should be able to fix a Chevrolet vehicleIts not like Joe down the road is qualified to, Basil isSo it is my understanding that *** Basil does not stand behind the products it sells, and could have done much more to repair this truck but never actually triedIt's not like we were asking for the work for free, we are paying customers that wanted our vehicle fixed, and that failed to happen
Mr***'s claims are completely and totally falseAt no time was this vehicle offered to Mr*** at a price of $21,The texts that he has attached in his response are fabricatedThe first never came from an employee of this dealership and the second isn't even for the truck that Mr*** purchasedThat is for a completely different truck that is still for sale. I have attached screenshots of Mr***'s actual *** page that supports our claim that he knew that he was paying $28,for the truck (he ultimately paid $27,because we offered him an additional $in savings at the time of delivery)Mr*** reached out to friends on *** to see if they thought our price was fairIt's apparent based on the responses he received that he and his friends knew the deal was more than fairMr*** also made contact with the previous owner of the truck he purchased and was aware of the truck's history and useMr*** even thanked him when he bought it. Furthermore, Mr*** made several visits to the dealership and was never put under any duress to signHe knew what he was paying and signed in personNot a single document was forged as he suggestsIf needed, camera footage from our showroom may show Mr*** in our finance office signingIn addition, the two employees that Mr*** refers to had nothing to do with the reconditioning, inspection, sale or signing of this vehicleTheir opinion is uncredible because they had NOTHING to do with sale
The dealership has made several goodwill repairs for this customer, on a vehicle that was purchased with over 100,miles and has no warrantyWe have been more than fair with the customer
We did write a estimate on ** *** vehicle unfortunately the bumper did not come with a pad from GM we would have no idea that that's the way it came till we opened the box we offered ** *** a discount on the rear pad and also offered to put it on at no labor charge but he
thought that we should just give him the part at no cost if we knew the pad did not come with the rear bumper we sure would have put it on the estimate to start with
There must be confusion on the part of the customer - satellite radio trial periods are generally months, not even There has never been a year trial periodIn addition, there is no implied warranty on glass of any kind, especially for an issue months after deliveryThe dealership covered
the cost of attempting to buff the glass for the customer, but it was not to his satisfactionUnfortunately, the dealership is not willing to offer anything in addition to this customer
I
previously complained (complaint # ***) that Basil Chevrolet in did not refund the sales tax that they collected on an extended warranty that I bought from them and subsequently cancelled a few days laterMy previous complaint (#***) was considered closed by Revdex.com as the dealers response to the complaint was that they would refund the $sales tax to me by checkThat was TWO WEEKS AGO! I have not received my $refund check, nor do I get any of my calls to the dealer returned regarding my refundI am requesting my complaint not be considered closed as the dealer has not complied with the solution they agreed to when Revdex.com contacted themAlso, your website automatically considers a complaint closed if they get no reply within days.Sent me my refund Check in the amount of $that I paid for sales tax on the contract that I cancelled

I have a letter from NYSERDA stating that my car would have qualified for this rebate had the dealership filed the necessary paperwork at the point of saleIt is really a shame that a huge dealership like Basil's would not at least attempt to remedy this situation Upon first contacting them, the manager chose to deny any wrongdoing and try to swindle me by saying that they gave me a bigger discount instead of the NYSERDA rebate As to their claim of the $15,discount I received, half of that was a federal tax credit for electric vehicles that had nothing to do with the dealership The remaining amount was a Chevy rebate and a discount for the vehicle having 2,miles on itAs to the date on the Dealer Implementation Guide being past the point of sale, I would argue that the timeframe was still within the allowable time to apply for this rebateTherefore, that excuse is invalidAfter spending around $33,at this dealership, it is very disappointing that they refuse to at least apologize for costing me $1,
call my direct line ***, I have your card set aside as promised......or just come into the store.Steve ***
Well she did bring here vehicle here for repairs her adjuster from *** did come out and appraise the damage we then customer to get ok to start repairs she said do not do anything I have to talk to my insurance company that was the last we heard from her until she called to see if
vehicle was done when she told us not to work on vehicle ?As far as the amount of the estimate that also has nothing to do with us they tell us rather the vehicle is repairable or not as of 1-12-I called her adjuster Jim dowing from *** and he said that as far as the repairs we are allset on this vehicle and if she does have any questions that they should be directed at *** *** since they are the ones that wrote what to be repaired and what parts to use if any questions my name is Thomas S*** and I am the shop manager
We finally got the bank to approve the lease for this customer. She has come in to take delivery of the new vehicle and is driving it as we speak. Joe Basil Chevrolet did make good on the offer for the veteran contest

The drive clean rebate didn't qualify on the volt he purchased because it is a previous dealer rent-a-car. To put a vehicle into dealer rent-a-car service we must title and register the vehicle. With that being said NY state recognizes that as a used vehicle and they will not pay out the
drive clean rebate on the vehicle. GM recognizes this vehicle for is new vehicle rebates and the give us an extra $on top of them to pass along to the customer for the 2000-miles that these vehicles will have on them. The full value of this incentive, all avaialable rebates from GM, and a discount from the dealership where given to MrMeyers on this transaction. Unfortunately not all incentives, rebates, and government programs are able to stack on each other, so we select what will be the largest value for the customer. MrMeyers received $15,in total incentives which is almost 40% of the suggested retail price.
Mr*** information will be removed from our system and he will not be contacted again

Joe Basil Chevrolet didn't pull Mr*** credit times. We pulled it once, as given permission during the sales process by Mr***. The bank we submitted his lease to is responsible for the other two credit pulls. Everything done in this transaction was done properly and with
permission. I believe There is some confusion on Mr*** end as far as the "ptdrop" There is no way these pulls caused a point drop in his credit score. The more likely answer is Mr*** is looking at a different version of a bureau then we did. There are three main bureaus, transunion, Equifax, and Experian. Each of the main bureaus have several different version of their scoring system. The Transunion we use is version 9. It is common to see a sometimes large variances in score between two versions of the same bureau

I picked up the truck on August 9th and the sound in the front driver side tire was still present after calling Joe Basil Chevrolet I was told not there problem but this has been an issue from first visit and instead of replacing parts they tried to grind on pads to no satisfaction
Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The company already knew the car would not pass based on the information provided to me from the mechanic and they still sold it to meAnd as far as the advertisement for 1-hour delivery? You should not advertise something you cannot stand byAlso, I would like the hard credit inquiries taken off mine and my husbands credit reportIn no way is it our fault we did not purchase this car so why are we the ones who are punished? Also, yes like I said in my initial response you called me and left no messages so I did not even know it was a manger calling me until Todd told usAnd we never once said he was the only person I wanted to talk toWe asked to speak with managers multiple times and I even called the director my self, who never called me back!
