section on page of the implementation manual was part of an update that was made on June 14, 2017.? Mr[redacted] purchased his vehicle June 5, 2017.? The programs require that the rebate be spelled out, and show on the buyers order in order to get paid for this program.? Since we cannot go back and alter dates on legal documents, there was no way to get Mr[redacted] this rebate.? Also there is no mandate that we are responsible or expected to apply for this rebate even for those who qualify.? Throughout the paperwork associated with this deal there is no mention of us offering this rebate, or promising it to him.? We agreed to a deal, we stuck to our end of it, and Mr[redacted] has nothing left due to him

The vehicle in question did sit here for a long timeThe customer did want to file a product liability claim with General Motors for a tire that had blown outWe advised the customer that they could? do? that but was not in their best interest because they could not prove a defective tire and chances are it hit a road hazard and blew outThe vehicle was towed in and given to my service department but after they saw thousands of dollars in body damage the vehicle was turned over to the collision centerThis is some kind of a fleet vehicle that was being leasedThere were delays and questions as to who was responsible for to pay for the damagesLike we stated previously the vehicle was towed in 1/18/and a estimate was requested by us on 1/and it was sent to efleetscomThe vehicle was finally removed on 2/We have posted labor rates at the door per NY State lawThis is a standard operating procedure for impound and collision lots in New YorkInsurance companies pay storage daily to us for vehicles that are totaled or if towed here and removed to another facilityThe customer was advised if they had the work performed here that no storage charges would have been [redacted]edThe customer opted to take the vehicle to his shop of choiceI attached a photo of our posted rates

Mr[redacted] came into our dealership to purchase this truck, visually inspected it parked and on a vehicle lift in our shopHe was 100% aware of the price that he was paying for this truck, signed every form (we have copies, he apparently lost his), and was 100% aware of the terms of this dealMr
[redacted] took it upon himself to contact the previous owner (he found their contact information on his own)to discuss the condition of the truck and any issues it may have had it in the past, and still decided to purchase the truckIn fact, we have screen shots from Facebook that confirm that Mr.[redacted] was aware of the price he was paying, that he was receiving a good deal on the truck, and was even congratulated by the previous owner on the purchaseThe dealership has offered to repair or repurchase Mr[redacted]'s truckHe originally elected to sell it back to us, but then decided to keep it and left the dealership with it.? His offer to sell us the truck back expires at the end of business on Friday, November 4th

To close this case, I purchased and additional card for this customer.  There was obviously some miscommunication on our part.

The drive clean rebate didn't qualify on the volt he purchased because it is a previous dealer rent-a-car.  To put a vehicle into dealer rent-a-car service we must title and register the vehicle.  With that being said NY state recognizes that as a used vehicle and they will not pay out the...

drive clean rebate on the vehicle.  GM recognizes this vehicle for is new vehicle rebates and the give us an extra $3000 on top of them to pass along to the customer for the 2000-3000 miles that these vehicles will have on them.  The full value of this incentive, all avaialable rebates from GM, and a discount from the dealership where given to Mr. Meyers on this transaction.  Unfortunately not all incentives, rebates, and government programs are able to stack on each other, so we select what will be the largest value for the customer.  Mr. Meyers received $15,367 in total incentives which is almost 40% of the suggested retail price.

We will be sure that the check is processed and mailed by 4/8/2018.

The Finance manager who made the error is sending a letter to [redacted] explaining the mistake and asking them to remove the inquiry from her credit report.  That should resolve this issue.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  The response of Joe Basil is very, very, very disrespectful !!! The confusion is on the part of the salesman & the dealer. We were promised 1 year satellite radio from the salesman who said to call him each time the 3 month subscription ends. The "Glassman" that Joe Basil hired said that he could remove the "etching" of the glass with the dealers approval. We will repeat what we already reported before purchasing the car, we said we wanted it cleaned up - the car, the engine & the glass. We have called the salesman repeatedly & he rarely answers & doesn't return our voice mails, hence the time lapse. Who would want "sold" & numbers on their glass? If you want a dealership you would be satisfied with & want to return to & recommend to many people - it isn't Joe Basil. There are a lot of other car dealers in the area, hopefully, there is an honest one that treats customers respectfully, is pleasing & wants return customers. regards,  [redacted]

I [redacted] have two employees working at joe basil that will come forward if need be to prove that there was unsigned paper work as in the mv-50 and registration and another employee in shop to admit the truck was not inspected correct way seeing emmisions system was tampered with and front end was not checked and still an inspector placed a new york state inspection sticker on said vehicle stating vehicle was 100% safe and all systems where ok. I have proof from 2 repair facilitys and a state inspector truck is infact deemed unsafe. Myself john [redacted] and mike the buisness manager all no I walked out do  to the MV 50 having the wrong purchase price on it have to dealership heard me fighting over that they agreed to have a change in at a later time I can sign it that never happened I've dealt with Mv-50s for 15 years and the signature on The mv-50 is forged  I dropped the vehicle back off as myself Joe basil the service manager and use car manager had a meeting they agreed to repair my vehicle had a call next morning that they were keeping my vehicle  due to the fact that they could not repair it  when the truth was they knew they put any legal inspection sticker on the vehicle and scammed me for $10,000 more than what the vehicle is worth every bank denied it except 1 The vehicle was registered and 10/18/2016 how is that  all the paperwork I signed besides the MV 50 and Registration was on 10/19/2016 insurance was added 10/20/2016  and one more thing the mileage at time of sale differs from what is on the title so not only did they forge my name to the mv-50 there paper work has been flagged by ny state I wont back down to many people been taken advantage of  and use keep sweeping them under the rug I'm standing my ground for myself and the others you took advantage of. My family is close with the basil family as they are just now getting informed of this whole transaction the managers are keeping to there selves thank you.

Mr. [redacted] information will be removed from our system and he will not be contacted again.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,[redacted] We can go back and forth here the truth of the matter is joe basil is a good man its a shame he has a few bad apples in the place that will soon be taken care of the safety of this vehicle was my first complaint along with 2 other registered repair facilitys also that deemed the truck unsafe and after talking to mr basil in person mr basil said to help this customer and fix his truck for him the following day I  received a call from the service manager that they were unable to repair the vehicle seeing that the vehicle needed too much work  my question then was why he was the vehicle inspected and delivered knowing it was unsafe and needed too much work I refused for them to give me my money back I wanted the truck that I purchased credit score took a hard hit from 7 banks 2 out of the 7 denied a loan due to value of the vehicle being so low to loan anount being 34,016.25. After finding out they would not repair the vehicle I contacted the bank to see what can be done and I was advised that the loan was not for what we agreed the purchase of the vehicle was That being told to me I understood why my paper work was not  received for any of the contracts I signed again I did not sign the MV 50.so going forward  received a call from Cory stating the vehicle will not be purchased back there standing on your own 2 feet and they made up their mind well come to find out the vehicle odometer statement  That you also have to provide to New York State that states do your best knowledge is your odometer reading correct they checked yes and enter the mileage of 88134 which truck was inspected with milage stated 88889 to sum things up they sold me a commercial vehicle that almost killed myself and my 10 yr old son along with a bus full of children and another vehicle after truck went over a bump in road could not control truck as steering wheel went left right numerous times truck went hard left into oncoming traffic. If My statements where not true why would joe basil chevy in [redacted] buy this overcharged unsafe death trap Back from me tonight.so if anyone is fabricating a story its  obviously not me I have a tech in the shop that can confirm my vehicle was not inspected properly. All the paperwork dates are all off how can you register a vehicle to a customer on 10/18/16 when they didnt sign the any paperwork till 10/19/16 besides the mv-50 which transfers owner ship from old owner to dealership to new owner. You cant cover a lie with a lie truth of the mater is you sold to a mechanic and owner of a repair facility and I new more than yous thought about the process and got caught in your scams finaly truth be told your salesman should not give old customers phone numbers out to sell a vehicle yes I said I bought a nice truck but this was before it was delivered to my shop didnt even have it in my possession yet. If yous had nothing to hide why did yous bye it back why not fix it like I asked I have that in writing also your tryed turning around on me stating I refused a buy back and repairs yous see I didnt sign that either. You people are a joke scamming people out of there hard earned money. I promise this is far from over the state is doing a  investigation my lawyer is filing a lawsuite. I have an inside witness that will prove my case is solid thanks for buying your mistake back your lies are now exsposed

Service Manager took pictures and told us it was damaged. The dealer who sold us the car should repair it. 2) We also went to [redacted] Ford and they told us the Light was damaged and if they would have sold us the car they would replace it. Joe Basil Chevrolet should replace the light. Joe Basil Chevrolet, who else do you want us to go to, to look at the damaged light?
