My name is Steven *** and I'm the new vehicle director, my position with Joe Basil Chevrolet has me handle any of these issues, and that has been explained to *** We set and appointment for yesterday at 3:30, and she didn't show up I explained to her that I needed to sit down
with her and we would do our best to work something out She refuses to return calls, and she is still driving a loaner vehicle that was due back to the store several days agoWe need her to return our vehicle to us ASAP, and review her paperwork with us and then we can make a decision on what we'd like to offer her As far as for her boyfriend, he isn't part of the lease of the Trax, so we won't deal with him

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]The dealership still claims that my car does not qualify for the Drive Clean Rebate Attached is a copy of the DEALER IMPLEMENTATION MANUAL provided on the NYSERDA Drive Clean Website under Dealer Resources If you refer to the second paragraph of section on page which states the following : Registered dealer loaner vehicles may be eligible for the program under the floor model, test drive, rollback and unwind provision if the vehicle is coming out of loaner car service and offered to an eligible consumer for purchase or leaseThe original vehicle registration must be in the dealership’s nameThe vehicle must still be considered new by the vehicle manufacturer with regards to warranty provisions or for the purposes of manufacturer rebates, etcIn addition to the documentation required for all applications, the following documentation is required: copy of the original MV-from when the dealer purchased the vehicle; copy of the original dealer registration; copy of the original purchase agreement from the OEM to the dealer, and written confirmation from the dealership certifying that a) the vehicle is a registered dealer loaner that is being sold or leased to a consumer and b) the vehicle is still considered new by the vehicle manufacturer for warranty provisions and for purposes of any existing manufacturer rebates. This is my exact situation, I bought a loaner vehicle that was registered by the dealership prior to me buying the vehicle I have documentation showing that this vehicle was purchased as NEW according to Chevrolet and Joe Basil's Given those facts, I believe that I am entitled to this rebate in which Joe Basil's failed to apply for in a timely manner resulting in a loss of $ I made it a specific point (with my wife as a witness) to ask everyone we discussed the vehicle purchase with, including the salesman and the financial guy, if the vehicle did in fact qualify for the rebate I was told by several people that it did qualify and was reassured of this again at point of sale

The vehicle in question did sit here for a long timeThe customer did want to file a product liability claim with General Motors for a tire that had blown outWe advised the customer that they could do that but was not in their best interest because they could not prove a defective tire and chances are it hit a road hazard and blew outThe vehicle was towed in and given to my service department but after they saw thousands of dollars in body damage the vehicle was turned over to the collision centerThis is some kind of a fleet vehicle that was being leasedThere were delays and questions as to who was responsible for to pay for the damagesLike we stated previously the vehicle was towed in 1/18/and a estimate was requested by us on 1/and it was sent to efleetscomThe vehicle was finally removed on 2/We have posted labor rates at the door per NY State lawThis is a standard operating procedure for impound and collision lots in New YorkInsurance companies pay storage daily to us for vehicles that are totaled or if towed here and removed to another facilityThe customer was advised if they had the work performed here that no storage charges would have been ***edThe customer opted to take the vehicle to his shop of choiceI attached a photo of our posted rates
We have absolutely no intention of keeping the customer's $However, there is a process that is followed when a deposit is refundedThe check must clear our bank before we can process a check and mail it to the customerThe check will be processed and mailed to the customer
Upon arrival to Joe basil Chevrolet service members ignored me waiting patiently ones customer recognize one of the employees that they deal with previously he then acknowledged them only to have someone knew nothing about the previous issue try to handle itEmployees
indicated to me that upon leaving my vehicle that warranty would cover the diagnostic test verbal telling me that's as I explain to them that we had coverage on the vehicleThen upon pick up of the vehicle in employee informed me that I would have to pay out-of-pocket for the service of the diagnostic test Now explaining it wouldn't be cover like informed pervio When asking to speak with a manager Mark he became very rude to me and my wife when explaining to him what was done did not help resolve any issues nor did he seem to care what had just taken please continue to be very condescending also arrogantly tell me my wife he'd call the police if she came to get her vehicle without the money this issue has really been unlike the Joe basil experience that we've come a custom to having and it's very disappointing that after having such great experiences with your company that it has gotten to this point over bad consumer service and bad communication please help to address this issue as early as possible as my vehicle is still in the possession and it very uncomfortable to know after dealing with this stuff

The customer was in an accident and when a third party body shop was working on the truck, they are claiming that some paintwork had already been doneWhen we sold the truck to the customer, it had a clean, accident-free CarFax reportKeep in mind, if the truck did have previous paintwork done, it
does not necessarily mean that it was in an accidentCustomers may have damage fixed from scratches, something falling, etcWe have yet to see any of this previous paintwork because it is not being fixed in our bodyshopRegardless, we reached out to the customer to make an effort to trade him out into another truckWe are not willing to swap, or exchange trucks at no cost to the customerThe customer is relying on information from a third party and believes that we knowingly sold him a vehicle that was in an accident, when it has a clean CarFax report and may not have even been in an actual accidentHe had the opportunity to inspect the truck prior to purchasing it and has had no complaints until the body shop he took it to made these claims
Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I reject the offerPlease explain to me how there are different warranty contracts? The one you are showing is different than what you handed me when I bought the carThat's a red flagAlso I still would like a response to the word "sometimes" I have to authorize a teardown? Bottom line is it's every time you bring your car inThis contract is not worded properlySo if it's sometimes who determines that? The warranty company (which you never contacted)So with the warranty covering all internal parts (which it states), why would you need approval? You already verified it's an internal engine problem? Also when I spoke on the phone to the service manager he told me the last time this happened they service associate made a mistakeThen I bring it in this time and she says it was a one time courtesy to youThis is unbelievableI've drove miles each way to get my oil changed every 3k miles (to honor the contract) and then you guys pull thisI will not accept any resolution except my car being repaired.Regards,*** ***

The customer does have an engines for life contractper the contract under "what to do in the event of a failure" line #: in some cases, you may be required to authorize the repair facility to inspect or tear down your vehicle to determine the cause and cost of the repairAlso under "service
department guidelines for claims handling" line #: Advise limited warranty holder that evaluation of failure does not mean that the repair is covered under this limited warranty.line #: Have limited warranty holder authorize inspection/tear down of the vehicle to determine failure's cause and cost to repairNotify limited warranty holder that cost of tear down will not be paid if it is determined that failure is not covered under this limited warrantyThis is standard proceedure for warranty contactsThis is standard procedures for this type of warranty contractIf customer would like to bring their vehicle back in and authorize teardown as the contract statesWe will provide the customer A rental car to use at no charge
I will have him removed from our customer maintenance system. Steve ***
Joe Basil Chevrolet didn't pull Mr*** credit times. We pulled it once, as given permission during the sales process by Mr***. The bank we submitted his lease to is responsible for the other two credit pulls. Everything done in this transaction was done properly and with
permission. I believe There is some confusion on Mr*** end as far as the "ptdrop" There is no way these pulls caused a point drop in his credit score. The more likely answer is Mr*** is looking at a different version of a bureau then we did. There are three main bureaus, transunion, Equifax, and Experian. Each of the main bureaus have several different version of their scoring system. The Transunion we use is version 9. It is common to see a sometimes large variances in score between two versions of the same bureau.
Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The company already knew the car would not pass based on the information provided to me from the mechanic and they still sold it to meAnd as far as the advertisement for 1-hour delivery? You should not advertise something you cannot stand byAlso, I would like the hard credit inquiries taken off mine and my husbands credit reportIn no way is it our fault we did not purchase this car so why are we the ones who are punished? Also, yes like I said in my initial response you called me and left no messages so I did not even know it was a manger calling me until Todd told usAnd we never once said he was the only person I wanted to talk toWe asked to speak with managers multiple times and I even called the director my self, who never called me back!

The Finance manager who made the error is sending a letter to ** *** explaining the mistake and asking them to remove the inquiry from her credit report. That should resolve this issue.
The original complaint was satisfied with the agreement that we would send a letter to ** *** stating that the credit bureau was pulled in error. Both parties agreed that this would resolve the problem. The letter is attached that we sent out in July
The offer we sent out was by mail, and specifically stated while supplies last. We gave out $gift cards before supplies ran out, which in our opinion is an ample supply. There is no way to know how many people will take advantage of these offers, and that is why we have to set a
limit or budget to any offer like this
The truck was delivered to Mr*** with 6/32" of tire tread depth, far more than the 2/32" of tread required to pass New York State InspectionThe dealership has offered to purchase new tires for him and he could purchase the other He felt that our prices were too highIn an effort to
satisfy the customer, the dealership is willing to contribute $towards a new set of tiresIf he feels that our prices are too high, he can use the money towards a set that he can find at a lower price
The customer purchased the vehicle on 12/with the anticipation of taking delivery on 1/The vehicle would not pass inspection because it needed to have the vehicle's monitor's resetThis is a common problem that is taking an uncommon amount of time to fixWe have put over miles on the
vehicle in an attempt to reset these monitors without successThe customer has been in a dealership rental car at no charge for week and has been in constant communication with the dealershipWe were upfront with the customer and told them that it may take up to a week to get some of these stubborn vehicles to pass. When I attempted to reach out to the customer, they did not answer but called the salesperson back and told him that he is the only person they want to speak withThe dealership offered other vehicles to the customer, but they declinedWe also told the customer that they had the option to return the rental car and pick up their trade at any time - we didn't expect them to wait the time it may take for the vehicle to pass inspectionWe are still driving the vehicle in an attempt to reset these monitorsIn addition, the deal itself was agreed to at a higher payment than what the customer was willing to pay once they entered our finance officeIn an effort to secure their business, they dealership reduced the price an additional $(which was already below our cost) to achieve the NEW payment they were willing to acceptIn most circumstances, we can and do provide a relatively quick deliveryThis particular vehicle provided unusual issues that the dealership did its best to try to remedyWe provided the customer with transportation at no charge, had an employee spend over miles on the road in one week attempting to reset the monitors and offered the customer other vehicles at a discount
