[redacted] Re: Revdex.com Complaint [redacted] Macy’s [redacted] account ending in [redacted]...
Dear [redacted]: I am in receipt of your complaint forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office by the Revdex.com. As a representative of this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank. Please accept my sincere apology for any frustration you may have experienced when trying to reach a Customer Service Representative to resolve this matter. We do consider you a valued customer and it was never our intention to disappoint you. As a company committed to outstanding customer service, Macy’s goal is to have professional and courteous associates available within every department so that all of our customers may have a positive and rewarding experience. We thank you for your feedback as it assists us in understanding our customers’ experiences and directs our attention to areas in which we can improve our service quality. Regrettably, our store associates do not have the ability to view credit accounts due to security purposes. Per the terms of the Department Stores National Bank Credit Card Agreement, interest is charged on the outstanding balance of your account until the day you pay the full balance owed on that account type. For example, if you have been paying only the minimum payments on your balance and you then decide to pay your balance in full, you will be charged interest on that balance from the first day of the billing cycle until the date that your payment is received. This interest charge is for the money loaned to you during that period, and will appear on the next month’s billing statement. This may result in a statement containing only an interest charge. You can avoid being charged interest by paying your account balance in full every month by your payment due date. In using your account, you consented to the terms of this Agreement, which includes a promise to pay for all purchases, as well as the late fees and interest charges. Unfortunately, we do not offer a grace period for payment due dates. Applying this billing policy to your Macy’s [redacted] account, the $2.00 interest charge that appeared on your May 30, 2016, billing statement included interest for the outstanding balance on your account between the bill date of April 29, 2016, and the date (May 29, 2016) that your $29.40 payment was applied to your account. The $2.00 interest charge that appeared on your June 29, 2016, billing statement included interest for the outstanding balance on your account between the bill date of May 30, 2016, and the date (June 27, 2016) that your $2.00 payment was applied to your account. On July 8, 2016, you called and spoke to a representative, and, as a courtesy; the two (2) $2.00 interest charges were removed. As a gesture of our goodwill, I have removed the $27.00 late fee and $2.40 interest charge that was assessed on your billing statement for the period ending April 29, 2016. This resulted in a credit balance of $31.40, to which I have taken the liberty of sending a credit balance refund check for this amount. You should receive this check under a separate cover at the address listed above within seven (7) to ten (10) business days. [redacted], we understand you have a choice of where to shop and we are sorry we have disappointed you. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and giving me the opportunity to respond. If I may be of additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Stephanie C. Macy's Executive Office ###-###-#### Extension [redacted] cc: [redacted], Revdex.com

Please
accept my sincere apology for the confusion surrounding your chair. The vendor

[redacted] [redacted] April 12, 2017 [redacted] Re: Revdex.com Complaint ID #[redacted] Macy’s account ending in [redacted] Dear [redacted]:...
I am in receipt of your complaint that you filed with the Revdex.com, which was forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office. As a representative in this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank (DSNB). We sincerely apologize for any frustration and for the problems you encountered while attempting to resolve this matter. I was hoping to discuss this with you; however, my attempts to reach you were unsuccessful. I was able to leave you two messages. In review, I found that on July 29, 2016, you were charged $143.00 for fur services at the [redacted] Macy’s store, as reflected on the enclosed billing statement for the period ending August 5, 2016. Our records show that on September 1, 2016, you disputed the charge. You indicated that this is the second year this happened. Please know that this is the only dispute that is noted on your account. Your account also indicates you made a $12.85 purchase at the [redacted] store on August 20, 2016, and we received two $27.00 payments on September 1, 2016, and October 1, 2016, respectively. To clarify, because this was a charge for services in the store, you were advised that you needed to dispute the charge with the Store Manager. Therefore, on October 27, 2016, the dispute code was removed. On December 6, 2016, we removed $34.29 in accumulated fees resulting in a $133.70 new balance with an $89.74 minimum payment due by February 1, 2017. When no payments were received for the February 1, 2017, and March 1, 2017, due dates, your account was assessed the applicable fees in accordance with the DSNB Credit Card Agreement. I followed up with the Store Manager and Fur Salon Manager, and they confirmed the credit to your account. I was pleased to see that on March 3, 2017, the $143.00 charge was removed on your account. We sincerely apologize that this was not resolved sooner. On March 6, 2017, a $37.00 late fee was removed related to this issue. On April 5, 2017, I removed an additional $114.09 in accumulated fees resulting in a $41.15 credit balance. Since your merchandise balance was $12.85 and you made two payments of $54.00, I am refunding you the difference of $41.15. On April 6, 2017, I sent you a Credit Balance Refund check for this amount, which you should receive under separate cover within 7-10 business days. We also cleared our internal records of any delinquency associated with this issue, and requested that [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] update their records and delete any history of delinquency for the time period of November 2016 through April 2017. Kindly allow the agencies approximately 30 days to make the necessary adjustments to their files. Until then, this letter will serve as confirmation of our request. Additionally, we reset your credit limit to $1,250.00. Thank you so much for bringing this matter to our attention and allowing me the opportunity to respond. Please contact me at the telephone number below if you have additional questions or if I can be of further assistance. Sincerely, Regina M. Regards,
[redacted] all of the transactions regarding my returns are taking weeks to show up on my credit statement I've called back to Macys several times trying to get this matter resolved Again I have been hung up on after asking to be reansfered to a supervisor i will consider this matter closed when I have received all credits for the returns back on my account and I have closed my account out with Macys. I have now spent 1 hr of my day with this issue. Thats time I don't have. And my issue is no where to being resolved
As indicated in my rebuttal yesterday, Macy’s sent me an email to review a letter they sent to me requiring me to access an online account which I don’t have access to. I contacted Macy’s after submitting my rebuttal to put a stop to it and to have them send the letter to my personal gmail account or home. They do not plan on doing that but told me that I won’t hear from them for 90 days as my account is now under investigation. How do I go about receiving a copy of Macy’s response for my files?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Thank you to Mr. H. for resolving the issues and providing excellent customer service. I hope the rest of his staff learns from his example.

[redacted] [redacted] June 15, 2017 [redacted] Re: Revdex.com Complaint ID #[redacted] Macy’s account ending in [redacted] (closed) Dear [redacted]...
[redacted]: I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com, which was forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office. As a representative in this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank (DSNB). Upon review, I found that your billing statement for the period ending March 22, 2017, had a $67.37 balance with a $27.00 minimum payment due by April 18, 2017. When we did not receive a payment by that due date, your account was assessed a $27.00 late fee and $2.00 interest charge resulting in a $96.37 new balance with a $57.00 minimum payment due by May 18, 2017. Per the DSNB Credit Card Agreement, if you have been paying less than the New Balance on your Revolving account balance each month and you then decide to pay your balance in full, you will be charged interest charges on that balance from the first day of the billing cycle until the date that your payment is received. The minimum interest charge is $2.00. This interest charge is for the money loaned to you during that period, and will appear on the next month’s billing statement which may result in a statement with interest only. You can avoid being charged interest by paying your account balance in full every month by your payment due date. My review found that the fee was properly charged. Applying this billing policy to your account, the $2.00 interest charge on your May 22, 2017, statement was for interest charged on your account balance between the last bill date of April 21, 2017, and the date (April 29, 2017) that your $96.37 payment was applied to your account. On June 13, 2017, I removed the $2.00 interest as a courtesy resulting in a zero ($0.00) balance on the account. Had you paid the $2.00 interest charge and not made any new purchases, you would have had a zero balance the next month and would not have been charged interest on the interest charge. I closed your Macy’s account on June 13, 2017, per your request. To clarify, the Macy’s account was activated when you used it on March 1, 2017. Macy’s account ending in [redacted]
Dear
[redacted]:
I am in receipt of your
complaint filed with the Revdex.com and forwarded to Macy’s
Executive Office. As a liaison in this
office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of
Department Stores National Bank. I
intended to discuss this matter with you personally; however, my attempts to
reach you were unsuccessful.
Please accept my sincere
apology for any frustration you may have felt when you called to speak with a
representative while trying to resolve this issue. I was sorry to hear that it caused you to close
your account. I have forwarded a copy of
your letter to appropriate management so that the issue may be addressed with
the associate involved.
According to the terms of the
enclosed Department Stores National Bank Credit Card Agreement, if the minimum
amount due is not received by the payment due date as shown on your monthly
statement, a late fee and interest charge are charged to your account. My research shows your billing statement for
the period ending April 21, 2015, had a balance and minimum payment of $21.09 due
by May 21, 2015. When no payment was
received by this date, a $21.09 late fee and $2.00 interest was charged. Your billing statement for the period ending May
21, had a balance and minimum due of $44.18.
We received your $21.09 payment on May 22, 2015, which left a remaining balance
of $23.09 due by June 21, 2015. When no payment was received by this date, a
$35.00 late fee and $2.00 interest was charged.
On July 3, 2015, a partial late fee of $18.00 was credited as a courtesy
to you when you spoke with a representative.
I have enclosed copies of your billing statements for April, May, and
June 21, 2015 for reference.
As a gesture of our goodwill,
on June 10, 2015, I removed a total of $42.09 in accumulated late fees and
interest from your account, which resulted in a credit for this amount. I requested a refund check be issued to you
for $42.09, which you will receive under separate cover within seven (7) to ten
(10) business days.
[redacted], thank you for bringing
this situation to our attention and giving me the opportunity to respond. Your feedback is critical as it assists us in
understanding our customers' experiences and directs our attention to areas in
which we can improve our service quality.
If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me
at the telephone number listed below, as I would be delighted to speak with
you.

Re: Macy's Store Account ending in [redacted]
Dear
[redacted]: ...
I am
in receipt of your recent complaint filed with the Revdex.com
regarding your Macy's Store account ending in [redacted]. As a representative of Macy's Executive
Office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of
Department Stores National Bank.
I
was disappointed to learn of the confusion you have experienced concerning how
your Minimum Payment Due is reflected on your Macy's online profile. Please accept my sincerest apology for any
inconvenience this may have caused you.
We thank you for your feedback concerning your Macy's online profile and
we have forwarded your valuable feedback to the appropriate parties.
Your
Macy's online profile is designed to inform you of any account activity on your
Macy's Store account. By selecting
“credit account summary” upon signing into your profile, you are able to view
your Statement Balance, Current Balance, Minimum Payment Due, and your Payment
Due Date. While your Current Balance may
change with purchases, returns, or payments, at this time, your Minimum Payment
Due will not change. Your online profile
will not reflect a change in the Minimum Payment until a new statement has been
generated. The Minimum Payment Due that
reflects on your profile is a reflection of your Minimum Payment Due on your
current Statement Balance. You are able
to view recent transactions and payments by selecting “recent account
activity”.
For
the billing statement for the period ending April 27, 2015, your account had a
Minimum Payment Due of $65.00 by May 27, 2015.
Because we did not receive the $65.00 Minimum Payment Due by your
Payment Due Date, a late fee of $25.00 was charged to your account. The past due amount of $65.00 was added to
the Minimum Payment Due on the billing statement for the period ending May 27,
2015; which resulted in the Minimum Payment Due of $158.00, by June 27,
2015. Records indicate you made payments
of $50.00 on June 10, 2015, $15.00 on June 17, 2015, and $80.00 on June 22,
2015. Records also show your late fee of
$25.00 from May 27, 2015, was removed on June 12, 2015. I have enclosed copies of the billing
statements for the periods ending on April 27, 2015, though June 27, 2015, for
your review. As of the date of this
letter, your account has a balance of $1,942.59, with a Minimum Payment Due of
$64.00, due by July 27, 2015.
Additionally,
I understand that you are concerned with your Annual Interest Rate (APR)
increasing because of the May 27, 2015, missed payment. Please be assured, we have determined the APR
on your account has not increased. We
have also determined that there is no derogatory information reporting on your
credit profile as a result of the May 27, 2015, missed payment.
[redacted], thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention and
giving me the opportunity to respond.
Your business is important to us, as well as appreciated. Please do not hesitate to call me at the
telephone number listed below if I may be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
Jessica P.

The Macy's card is issued by Department Stores
National Bank.
Problem: Macy's stopped sending me bills for 6 months. I figured that meant I was all paid up on them since I was paying bills off in full around that time. ^ months go by and they hit me with a collection notice for around $600. When I called the collection agency, I said I needed more information on how this happened before I paid anything. When I called Macy's they would not speak to me because the account was flagged. They treated me poorly, like a criminal. I was yelled at, screamed at, and hung up on on several occasions and I was just looking for answers as to why I never received a bill? Why I was never called as they had my phone number? Why the first mailing I received from them was a collection notice after 6 months of no communication? Why I was being charged extra for their mistake? Why my credit was being ruined for their mistake? I filed a complaint with you all before and it landed me talking to someone at Macy's who's story changed every time I spoke to her. She said I changed my phone number and did not provide a new one, which was not the case because I have had the same phone number since well before I had this card. She said they were not required to call me. She said they were not required to mail me as I clicked a box that stated I wanted electronic bills. I explained to her that I never did any such thing as I need the paper copy as a reminder due to the fact I am an Army Veteran with memory issues. I further explained that I had looked over the website upon my paying online to see if any indication of automatic electronic bills was mentioned (as this happened to me once before) and I was not able to see anything. And even if that were the case, which it wasn't, but if I did not respond to an email, they do not know whether I got it or not still and therefore, they did not make every attempt to notify me of a delinquency either bay phone, mail, or all 3 before ruining my credit and sending me to collections. That is poor customer service!!! I begged her to work with me and she refused to budge. This has now continued to sit.2 weeks ago the collection agency called me again to pay the in full balance and I told them that I already stated that in order to make this right, they needed to remove the bad markings on my credit report, restoring it back to good standing and they needed to remove late fees and penalties. If they refuse to cooperate, they can stop harassing me!!!Desired Outcome: I begged her to work with me and she refused to budge. This has now continued to sit.2 weeks ago the collection agency called me again to pay the in full balance and I told them that I already stated that in order to make this right, they needed to remove the bad markings on my credit report, restoring it back to good standing and they needed to remove late fees and penalties. If they refuse to cooperate, they can stop harassing me!!Please do not close this case on the grounds that I filed previously. I am continuing to be harassed by this company that was wrong and refuses to cooperate or admit wrong doing and therefore the recent communication with them is why I filed again.
