Re: RevDex.com ID [redacted]

Dear
Ms. [redacted]:

I am in receipt of the complaint you filed with the
Revdex.com...

and forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office.  As a liaison in this office, I was asked to
review and respond to your concerns.
Please accept my sincere apology for any inconvenience or frustration
this matter may have caused you.  I would
also like to extend my congratulations to you on your recent wedding.

Macy's has a very liberal return policy.  With a receipt, we will accept for exchange
or return merchandise that does not completely satisfy you.  Some exceptions and restrictions on selected
merchandise do apply and are posted in these specific departments.  Macy's uses a return verification system and
all returns and/or exchanges are subject to validation and approval.  With a receipt or proof of purchase, a refund
will be credited back to the original form of payment used or if you prefer, a
store credit will be issued.  Your
original receipt is required for a cash refund.
Without proof of purchase, you may be issued a store credit for the
item's lowest selling price within the past 180 days.
In researching this matter, I found that when your husband
visited the Lenox Square store to return the [redacted] a proof
of purchase was not presented.  Without a
gift receipt or other proof of purchase, he was issued store credit for the
item’s lowest selling price at the store within the past 180 days in accordance
with our policy.  However, as a gesture
of our goodwill, I have enclosed a total of $75.00 in Macy’s gift cards, which
can be used either in store or online at macys.com.

It was disappointing to learn of the service you and
your husband have received when attempting to resolve this issue.  The service you described is not indicative
of the level of service we strive to provide and I appreciate you bringing this
matter to our attention.  Your feedback
is important to us as it allows us an opportunity to learn of areas in which we
can improve our service quality.  A copy
of your complaint and this response were forwarded to the appropriate
management so that the issue can be addressed directly with those
involved.

[redacted], thank you for bringing this matter to our
attention and allowing me an opportunity to respond.  If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to contact me at the telephone number listed below.

Sincerely,

       Macy’s accounts...

ending in [redacted] (open)
and [redacted] (closed)
Dear
[redacted]:
I am
in receipt of your complaints forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office by the
Revdex.com.  As a
representative of this office, I was asked to review and respond to your
concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank.  Please accept my sincerest apology for any
inconvenience or frustration this matter may have caused you.
Upon
review of your account, I show the open account ending in [redacted] has a total
credit limit of $900.00, with a current balance of $1,066.87.  According to the terms of the Department
Stores National Bank Credit Card Agreement, customers agree to maintain
oversight of their purchases and to not go over the credit limit assigned to
their Macy’s accounts.  From time to
time, customers may complete purchases that place them over their credit
limits, which would require them to immediately pay the excess amount.  Once your balance is paid below your limit of
$900.00, this account will be open to use.
Your closed account ending in [redacted] shows a total balance of
$5,059.28.  This account is closed and no
longer able to be used; however, we do require minimum payments each month for
the current balance.
On
March 7, 2016, a check payment of $206.59 was received by mail and posted to
your closed Macy’s account ending in [redacted].
When a check payment is mailed to our payment center, it typically takes
seven (7) to ten (10) business days to receive and process the payment.  You may also contact your bank for a copy of
this check if you presume it may be fraudulent.
If so, please send us a copy of the check so we may review further.
[redacted], thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and giving me the
opportunity to respond.  If I may be of
additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Stephanie C.

[redacted] Re:  Revdex.com Complaint ID #[redacted]Dear [redacted]: I am in receipt of your additional comments filed with the Revdex.com and forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office.  As a representative in this office, I was asked to review and respond to your continued concerns.  For clarification, the Macy’s Money promotion was a marketing event in which customers could earn reward cards (similar to gift cards) during a specified shopping period (in-store and online) based on how much they spent in a single transaction.  If the customer returned the merchandise that earned the Macy’s Money, we removed the value of the earned Macy’s Money from that refunded amount.  Exclusions and disclosures are clearly and prominently stated on each coupon and the purchase receipt.  I apologize for any miscommunication you may have received from the store associate.  [redacted], thank you for bringing this situation to our attention and giving me the opportunity to respond.  Your feedback is critical as it assists us in understanding our customers' experiences and directs our attention to areas in which we can improve our service quality. I am in receipt of
Macy’s response to complaints regarding my two fur coats.
Yes, I have been a long time customer of Macy’s Fur
Vault.  That is something that I
was Previously proud to admit, until now. I have always purchased the protection
plans on all of my fur purchases and have also stored all seven with Macy’s Fur
Vault.
The offer made to me by Macy’s to reline each item at a
discounted rate is still extremely costly , as I am a senior citizen.
I really want to come to a resolution regarding my fur
coats, as this situation has been going on for too long. In good faith, I am
offering a payment of $150.00 for each coat for the relining, and monograms. I
am hoping this will be agreeable to solve this issue.
Sincerely,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I never received an email from your company after you received the costume back. I check my email multiple times a day, and I checked my spam folder as well. The only email that I received from you was on October 8, stating: "We are contacting you to ensure that your expectations were met for your order with us. Our goal is for you to be completely satisfied with this transaction. If this is not the case, we would appreciate it if you would give us a chance to address your concerns before leaving feedback. Please contact us directly via email or phone to resolve and issue. Thank you, Toynk Customer Care Team".I have not received a refund from [redacted] I did contact them immediately after you denied my refund. They said that third party return policies are not covered under their A to Z Guarantee. They in fact closed my claim statin that their A to Z Guarantee "Does not supplement or replace a seller's returns policy. [redacted] Account Specialist"I can only believe that you have my return confused with someone else's, because my son had the costume on for only a few minutes, long enough for us to realize that it was too small. The costume was in perfect condition when I, myself, packaged it up for return. I would not be going through all this trouble for $36 if I wasn't absolutely positive that the costume was not stained and did not have a smell when I put it back in the package.
Sincerely,

[redacted]
On behalf of Department
Stores National Bank:
Contact Date(s) With Customer:  March 4, 2016
Complaint Summary:  [redacted] purchased clothing
of approximately $150.00 in October 2015, and opened a Macy’s account.  He was advised he would receive a Macy’s card
and statement to his home.  [redacted]
did not receive a card or statement and has received multiple phone calls
requesting for him to make a payment on the account.  He has spoken to many agents, verifying his
address and requesting a statement be sent to his home so he can make a
payment.
Resolution:  I apologized to [redacted] and advised we had
a previous address of his on file which was updated in January.  I removed the late fee and interest charge
for February and our internal delinquencies associated with this issue have
been cleared.  Moreover, we have
requested that [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted] delete the delinquencies for
November 2015 through February 2016.

[redacted]   [redacted]  [redacted]   September 26, 2017   [redacted]  [redacted]   Re:  Shopping experience         Revdex.com Complaint ID #[redacted]...

Dear [redacted]:    We are in receipt of your complaint forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office by the Revdex.com.  As a representative of this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns.  Please accept my personal apology for any frustration or inconvenience you may have encountered.   In reviewing this matter, our records indicate you purchased a handbag on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at our [redacted] Mall Macy’s location in [redacted], [redacted].  It is regrettable to learn that the store associate did not remove the sensor tag at the time of your purchase.  We strive to deliver a “friction-free” customer experience, and our goal is to resolve customer inquiries on the first request.  Accordingly, I forwarded your complaint and this letter to the [redacted] Store Manager, who has already reviewed this issue with the associate involved, and their staff for handling future requests such as yours.     When you first contacted the Macy’s Executive Office to inform us of your experience, your complaint was forwarded to the Assistant Store Manager (ASM) Jennifer, and you were advised she would be contacting you to resolve the issue.  I was disappointed to learn that you were not satisfied with the resolution after speaking with Jennifer, and felt the need to contact our office a second time to submit a new complaint about the conflicting information you described receiving.  On September 13, 2017, you spoke with Mr. Michael Sparks in our Macy’s Executive Office, and state that he did not understand your concerns. I understand that you intended to file a new complaint about your interaction with our ASM Jennifer, and I apologize if you felt he misinterpreted your request to file a complaint with her supervisor.  Our records indicate that as he was taking action on your behalf to contact her supervisor via e-mail, you disconnected the call.    I have forwarded a copy of your letter, as well as my response, to the Manager of the Macy’s Executive Office so that they may address these issues with the associate involved.  I have also forwarded your complaint to Jennifer’s supervisor so that they may further address this issue. Please note that due to privacy and employment laws, we are unable to provide more details about any action that may be taken.   Regarding your allegation that the ASM Jennifer offered not only a full refund, yet also offered to allow you to keep the handbag, it appears that a misunderstanding occurred.  After discussing the issue with Jennifer directly, she advised that when she first offered to refund the bag to you, her words somehow became misconstrued, and you thought she meant that you could also keep the item.  In addition, she offered to give you a courtesy Macy’s certificate for your inconvenience of having to come back into the store to return your item.  However, she later decided to retract her offer to give you the additional Macy’s certificate.  I regret if you misunderstood these offers, and her subsequent decision to only process a refund if you return the item.        For clarification, our offer to refund your handbag purchase is still valid, as long as you bring the item back to the store with the original receipt, and it is in resaleable condition.    [redacted], thank you for allowing me to respond to your concerns.  We are sorry for the continued frustration this situation has caused you.  We know you have a choice in where to shop, and hope you will allow us the opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future.  Please do not hesitate to contact me at the telephone number below if you need assistance on a different matter.      Sincerely,       Alison G. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.However, as noted in the correspondence with Ms. D., I won't be recommending Plenti to anyone, nor I will ever use this program again. To me, it is a big failure specially being it a loyalty program, and a shame that Macy's is using it to (try to) reward their customers. They (Plenti) provide an horrendous, unacceptable, service.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
My complaints were NOT addressed to my satisfaction. I was told I could not return an item that is still in the original shipping package but no one would tell me why. Since it took so long to receive the item, I wanted to return it. Since it's still in the shipping package, I've obviously never worn it and I want a refund. I also asked for them to explain why the NEW shoes I ordered were damaged. NO ANSWER. I kept them because they did not have any more in my size but I should NOT have been charged full price for an item that was supposed to be NEW and UNWORN. I also asked them to explain why the website does not say that the items would be shipped separately. I only ordered 2 items and the website they would arrive in 3-6 days. Both items were shipped separately and one item took nearly 2 weeks to be delivered. That is completely unacceptable! This issue is definitely NOT resolved and I have no idea why Steve Anderson would claim that it is. His response to my email IGNORED most of my questions and complaints. Also unacceptable! This complaint should NOT be closed until my issues are resolved and I am given a refund for the unworn item that is still in the original packaging.

Re:  Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted]
Macy’s account number ending in [redacted]
Dear [redacted]...

[redacted]:
Thank you for the kind
courtesy you extended to me during our recent telephone conversation.  As I mentioned, your complaint filed with the
Revdex.com was forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office for
review.  As a liaison in that office, I
was asked to respond on behalf of Department Stores National Bank.  I apologize for any frustration you may have
felt concerning our efforts to collect on this past due account.
In order to assist you during
this time of financial hardship, I reversed the $35.00 late charge applied to
the account on August 8, 2015, and the $35.00 late charge applied to the account
on July 8, 2015.   A $25.00 late charge
was applied to the account on June 8, 2015, and a portion ($13.00) of this late
charge was previously reversed as a courtesy to you.  I reversed the remaining $12.00.  You will see these credits in 1 to 2 billing periods.
I am sorry that your account
was not previously eligible for a payment assistance program.  Part of the eligibility criteria is that an
account must be open at least nine (9) months in order to be considered for one
of the programs.  Since your account was
opened in January 2015, it was not previously eligible.  Therefore, after September 8, 2015, please
call our Collections Department at ###-###-####, and they would be happy to
discuss your account’s eligibility for a payment assistance program.  The current balance on the account is $578.19
(balance will be less once the late charge reversals are posted to the account)
with a minimum payment of $122.00 (this includes a $62.00 past due amount) due
by the payment due date September 8, 2015.
[redacted], we appreciate
you bringing your concerns to our attention and allowing me the opportunity to
respond.  If you should have any further
questions, please do not hesitate to call me at the telephone number noted
below.
Sincerely,
Carrie W.
