After paying off my loan for solar panels in two years of 20 year loan I was informed there is a $120 charge to file loan closure. I won't be using Loanpal or paramont equity mortgage any more. I was told that I won't receive any paperwork about the charge.

To whom It May Concern,
I come to You ( Loanpal) to ask for an explanation and understanding about the loan assumption I took over for the solar system that can with the house I purchased.
- Closed of Escrow was July 30, 2019. (Signed paperwork for Loanpal Mid to late July, 2019)
- I Called Loanpal in August, 2019 to find out where my bill was because I had not received anything in the mail. Loanpal representative (rep) stated that paperwork was being processed and it would take no more than 6 weeks. Perfect!!
- September, 2019 came, and still nothing. I called again and spoke with another rep. The rep did not know what was going with my paperwork and she would investigate and email me back. Before ending over conversation, I let the rep know I did not want to be responsible for not paying my bill. Must I add, the rep never contacted me again.
- In October, 2019 I get a email from Loanpal welcoming me to Loanpal and to state that I was 3 months behind on my loan.
- Nov 15, 2019 after many hours invested in communication and emails that basically saying:
a. We lost you paperwork for a very long time and was not process accordingly.
b. We still had the previous owner on file rather then I on the loan.
c. You still need to pay the three months balance.
d. Your are responsible.
Is this morally and ethically right?
Am I missing something about this business transaction?
We are sorry that Mr. has had a poor customer experience with Loanpal. This was never Loanpal’s intention. However, Mr.’s loans identified a flaw in our process that resulted in a lot of confusion and frustration. Loanpal has used this situation to improve our processes to ensure this does not happen to another customer during a loan assumption, which includes manual statements being generated at the time of an assumption, as well as clear instructions to real estate closing agents on the loan transfer process. I want to thank Mr. for being patience with us and assure him that we have learned from this situation and have made changes to stop it from happening in the future.

We applied with this company for a loan to install solar on our home but changed our mind with the 3 day right of cancellation time frame. Called the company and the gentleman we spoke with was very pleasant and cancelled the application over the phone no problem. Made it quite easy on us.
