Lemon Squad Auto Inspections Reviews (%countItem)

Very detailed and did a great job. Thank you.

I had the lemon squad look at a salvage passenger rear end accident vehicle. They were specifically asked to look at this area of the car. While the report on the car was a D it was all cosmetic problems in the report. Pictures of small dings and scratches. I am glad that they were in the report and that aspect was thorough. Within minutes of looking under the car I found two obvious problems. I am a home mechanic with no professional experience. The exhaust had a foot large dent in it from the accident. Not in report. The rear control arm was up against the tire. Only a quarter inch clearance. The driver side has almost two inches. It must have been too much to ask for the inspector to look under the car. They are called the lemon squad for a reason, and it isn't the cars they are looking at. I have contacted them with this and have had no response.

Hi Gary - We don’t show any record of communication from you with regards to this complaint. We did speak with the inspector about this and called to speak with you just after you left this review, about 2 weeks ago. We spoke with your wife and she said that she would ask you to give us a call back. We haven’t received your call yet. This is a Salvage Title vehicle. You knew that the vehicle had been wrecked and put back together not very well. There is always risk in purchasing a Salvage Title vehicle. Our inspector went back and looked at the pictures that are in the report. There is a picture of the right rear lower control arm from the rear of the vehicle and there was no damage showing. There is also a photograph of the right rear wheel and it looks centered side to side. There are 6 very good pictures of the underside of the vehicle so you know the inspector did look at the underside of it during the inspection. The report shows that the vehicle received a grade of a D+. This is a vehicle that is in below average condition with poor quality repairs and not something that many of our customers would have purchased. If you had questions after receiving your report, you should have contacted us to make sure that you had all of your questions answered before purchasing the vehicle. If you would like to speak about this further, you are welcome to call us at 888-231-7965.

What a great company. What sets them apart is not only the quality of the services, e.g., inspections, they provide, including the fast turnaround times, but also the quality of the customer services (and I rarely write reviews).

Lemon Squad saved me $25000.00 for $250.00 . They inspected a car for me that was 1200 miles away from me. Their report was more thorough than I ever expected. I look forward to using them again.

I was very impressed by Lemon Squad's dedication to my interests as a consumer. I had Lemon Squad do a pre-purchase auto inspection done on a car that I was considering buying. Through their inspection report and follow up phone call, I found out that the car had been in several accidents and that the engine may soon need replacing. Thanks to Lemon Squad, I have probably saved thousands on potential auto repairs on that used car! Andy Dabbs was particularly helpful on the phone. Thank you, Andy!

Used Lemon to inspect a 23 years old BMW 8 series in Atlanta, GA.
Report was pretty solid and saved me a lot of troubles.
Andy the owner personally called me to comment the report and refunded me to the extra $49 I paid to appraise the car. Report was so bad, appraisal became totally irrelevant.
Had I not used them, I most probably would have bought the car and ended up in a lot of troubles....

Lemon Squad is a top-notch company. I employed their services to do an inspection and a true market report on a used 2008 Mercedes I was thinking of buying. Their mechanic went out the next day and did an incredibly thorough check of the car. His write-up was detailed and I also got 50+ pictures of the car. His assessment revealed flaws in the car that the dealer was trying to cover up. I also spoke with Andy, the owner, at length about the report and got great advice on buying a car. I would highly recommend this business.

I have used lemon squad twice now and have found them to provide a valuable service. The first car that I had inspected by Lemon Squad I purchased, relying completely on the inspection report. The report showed several minor flaws which I was able to consider and use to make a more informed purchasing decision. When the car arrived the condition was as described, with no additional surprises. If anything, I was surprised in a positive manner because there were no additional problems. The second car I had inspected by Lemon Squad I chose not to purchase due to the overall condition of the car. The photos on the dealer site hid numerous minor flaws (nicks, scratches, amount of rust) which were uncovered during the inspection. There was also a check engine code that was recently cleared. It is unclear whether it would have returned. I am a very satisfied customer!

I recently had Lemon Squad look at a 1966 Cadillac I wanted to purchase. Thank God I called them. They saved me from buying a car the dealer wanted 26k for and it's prob only worth 13-14k. They worked in a very timely manner and after the inspection Andy, the owner, called me himself and saved me $50. I will absolutely 100% be using them again to look at the next car I find. Great honest business with great customer service.

AMAZING!!!!!! its the third time I am using there service and they just saved me from buying a car with "clean carfax " there inspector came with a special equipment and find out a HAIL DAMAGE AND A FRONT LEFT COLLISION , he called me and explained it to me , excellent professional and unique service ,there reports on the two other vehicles is amazing with all details and photos .HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchase automobiles all over the US but never thought of having a "remote" assessment of these vehicles. Rather than flying to see a possible purchase, I depended on Lemon Squad to be my eyes and ears. Because of their thorough inspection, I did not buy the vehicle and saved a lot of time and money. I would have bought it based on the seller, but will not do that again.
Thank you - Lemon Squad!

Shopping for a used vehicle. This is a MUST USE service. I am 54 years old and have bought and sold many cars. Being human, it is easy to let your emotions get involved and overlook things. Having an unbiased, 3rd party, professional do an inspection, can save u thousands of dollars down the road. For a reasonable cost, you have a valuable tool to use in your car buying decision. It will let u know about problem areas or potential problems. This is a must have when negotiating with the seller. You have a detailed report by a professional in writing. It's hard for anyone selling a car to argue with that. I have used this service numerous times and will continue to use them any time I am buying a used car. They get the inspections done within 1 or 2 business days. The final inspection reports are extremely detailed and professionally presented.

I only have the best things to say about Lemon Squad.
They are very professional, timely and will go above and beyond. They saved me over $10k on a "LEMON". Thanks Lemon Squad.

I want to share my positive experience with Lemon Squad. I paid them to inspect and appraise a 1981 Jeep. Their inspection discovered the vehicle was in bad condition. Andy, the business owner, called me to explain the details of the report. The inspection was completed in a timely manner. I had purchased an inspection and an appraisal. Upon seeing the poor condition of the vehicle, they offered to skip the appraisal and refunded that portion of their fee. I would strongly recommend using their service. The fee for the inspection saved me more money by not buying the vehicle.

Positive experience with quick turn around at a reasonable cost. Truck was a disaster with major frame damage [rusted through, pieces missing]. These guys saved me thousands of dollars. I wouldn't consider ever buying another used car without their detailed pictures and report, its everything the used car dealer is trying to hide from you. Not me this time. A++

I am a car collector/restorer who purchases cars all over the US. I've used Lemon squad about a dozen times over the past two years for family cars (mostly late model BMWs) and collector cars of all types. I send them out even when a car is within driving distance so I don't waste my time looking at something I don't want. The service is personal, courteous and professional; the inspections are prompt and thorough; and the inspectors are both highly capable and responsive to special requests or questions. Most importantly, the inspections have been dead-on accurate, always pointing out the things that the sellers don't want me to see. For example, some dealers, even new-car BMW dealers, will clear error codes and check-engine lights in an effort to sell a car that needs work. One recent Lemon Squad inspection caught that codes had been reset, helping me avoid a purchase mistake that could have cot me several thousand dollars. In several cases, these inspections discovered that what sellers represent as "perfect" or "rust free" collector cars turned out to be over-priced junk potentially worth tens of thousands of dollars less than the asking price. And the photographs that are provided with the inspections really are worth 1,000 words each. One dealer selling a premium late model BMW actually put tape on the passenger side mirror rather than paint and replace the broken cover. I never would have seen that if it weren't for the pictures. Whether you are buying a car that is just a few years old, something a little older, or a 60's or 70's classic, making the small investment to get the car inspected is an absolute requirement. And when it comes to inspection, Lemon Squad is among the best of the best.

These guys were great! I had a scheduled inspection for Friday but the mechanic had to reschedule until Saturday. Normally they are closed for the weekend but they processed the assessment anyway and I had it overnight. They also answered a ton of questions that I had related to the report.

So, l was looking into a Subaru that looked like a great deal! From far away... Ran the vin through Autocheck and everything came through just fine for the most part. Then my Lemon Squad Inspector showed up and ran an incredibly detailed inspection and wrote a thorough report with 113 pictures of every corner of the vehicle. As it turns out, this vehicle (which I would've had to drive 6 hours to go purchase and back) had a problem with the head gasket. If you know anything about Subies that is a deal breaker. All told with parts and labor, these guys saved me over $3,300 in parts and labor for that issue and some others my inspector found. Thank you Lemon Squad! You have a lifetime client in me. Now I move onto looking into my next vehicle. And you know where the inspector that's gonna check that one out is gonna come from right? You guessed it. LEMON SQUAD!

Lemon Squad saved me from an absolute nightmare! It was going to be a $14,500 mistake. WELL worth the fee to have it checked out first. This is the company I will be using from now on!

Very helpful and greatful for the time and detailed evaluation on a vehicle I am looking at 5 and a half hours away. They have given me close to 75 pictures, notations on the problems with the car and a rating on the car. Well worth the money to have a certified are mechanic look before making the drive. Thanks again and will use in the future.
