Dear Revdex.com,In resolution to this matter, our district office attempted to address matters with Ms*** directlyAfter several failed attempts to reach Ms*** by phone and email, contact was finally madeRecords reflect that our office representatives were unable
to address this situation as Ms*** stated that she did not have time to speak and that "everything was taken care of". Should Ms*** remain interested in moving forward with allowing us to address the concerns outlined in her complaint, we ask that she contacts the district office directly at the number referenced on her voicemail and email messagesSincerely, *** ***Associate Business AnalystH&R Block

I am rejecting this response because:
Yes, a response on H&R's part would be beneficial It would be very beneficial, in fact H&R Block needs to add the form to my taxes (the form they wouldn't accept from me before), redo my taxes, and mail or fax the corrected taxes to me to sign It's their mess-up H&R needs to actually take responsibility for its mistakes (and now complete incompetence). Regards,

I am rejecting this response because: first:The office is closed because it is seasonalI want a letter stating my taxes are to be prepared free of costAm I supposed to just walk into an office and say no I will not pay anything my taxes are free? I have no proof to document that this is the case and that my taxes are to be prepared free of costProvide me with documentation to show the officeI will not take your word that they can be done I have no proof or documentation to presentI will only accept a letter stating this or a voucher. Second:Why am I responsible to pay the IRS when I paid the amount I was told to pay by *** back in April? I was told by *** that my taxes were done and to pay the amounts that she calculatedThen I get a call that they were rejected after I sent the check because she never filed a form for my first time home buyer repayment nor did she account for my 401k withdrawlIf she would have helped me out during the times I drove to the office I could have paid the difference on time and avoided the feeI was mailed a blank form back once the office closed for the seasonFinally I met with *** and he Discovered that *** didn't add that as income and in turn I owed more money to the IRSThen when my taxes were finally fixed and accepted in May/June I had to pay back more moneyThat is why I owed the IRS So tell me how I am responsible for your mistake because *** was wrong I paid the incorrect amount and had to pay for that because I owed more to the IRS due to her mistakesI paid for the peace of mind and if she did my taxes correctly I never would have had to pay the 65.00.

I am rejecting this response because when you pay a company to do your taxes, for more than a decade worth of tax returns you expect them to be accurateYou do not expect to have massive perpetuated errors, that persisted and went undetected for yearsIt is bad enough that the tax returns were inaccurate at best, and completely wrong at the worstThe fact, that in the subsequent years from the originating error in 2012, that each year that proceeded, the H&R Block tax preparer still did not detect any problems with our returns is further indication of the negligence on their partNot until we, thankfully took our business elsewhere for our tax return, did the errors get detectedHow is it that H&R Block could not detect these errors in the years that followed, when as the tax professional on record it was their job to review each years return? I do not knowWhat I do know is that another account detected years worth of errors, that H&R Block never foundThe fact that after months of back and forth they credited us for the tax preparation fees for those years is fine, it is the least that should be expectedBut it is far from resolving this debacleThat is the least they should doI have spent countless hours dealing with this messHours that I should have been working, but instead had to take off time from work to deal with this messIn refunding these preparation fees, they made even more errorsThe checks were sent to the wrong address and made out to the wrong peopleFurther evidence of their lack of professionalismThe return and the extra taxes owed, more than $8,000, represent the accumulation of errors from 2012, 2013, 2014, which H&R Block completedIncorrectlyIt is called a ripple effectThe fact that the company refuses to acknowledge this ripple effect that several other tax professionals have agreed is in fact their responsibility, is one of the many reasons I do not accept their response/resolution.

I am rejecting this response because: I did receive a phone call from H&R Block and they agreed to remedy this problem by sending me my due tax return via regular mail. Shortly after receiving this phone call I received an email stating they wanted to resolve this matter in a different way. I was instructed to call by phone for the alternative remedy solution. When I called no one answered the phone. I was on hold for more than minutes. This is not resolved.

Dear Revdex.com, In resolution to this matter, we regret any misunderstanding’s that Mr*** may have had as it relates to H&R Block’s Free Federal *** promotion which only applies to the federal portion of the tax returnIf additional forms are filed such as Earned Income

Dear Revdex.com,Our records reflect that Mr*** was approved for H&R Block's Advance Line of Credit due to the information provided by him at the time of application, during which he would have been verbally advised as well as received paperwork that states the approval is based on
an estimate of the refundFurther investigation shows that the estimated refund amount calculated using the information was $3, Additionally, the terms and conditions agreed to upon the application and approval of the Emerald Advance outline the different payment methods available which include monthly payments as well as directing and authorizing H&R Block to deduct from the card the amount required to pay the balance of the Emerald Card to zero with the tax refund proceeds. We apologize for any misunderstandings Mr*** may have concerning the Emerald Advance Line of Credit and consider this debt validIf it is Mr***'s preference to set up payment arrangements to ensure the balance is rectified then he may contact ###-###-#### for further assistance. Dear Revdex.com,H&R Block has reviewed Mr***'s rebuttal to our prior responseThis response contains H&R Block's final position. In response to Mr***'s rebuttal, our review determines the rebuttal raises no new issues with H&R BlockThe tax preparation fees remain unpaid, which is a valid debtAgain, the IRS did not release Mr***'s tax refund to the Refund Transfer account set up to deduct his tax preparation feesAs a result, the fees owed to H&R Block were not paid and the debt is valid. If Mr*** would like to find out why the IRS offset his refund, we respectfully direct him to the IRS website at www.irs.govThere he may choose the Where's My Refund option and once he enters the required information, the IRS will display additional details as to why they offset the return. H&R Block does not have any control regarding the IRS and the offsets they applyWhile we regret the typo of the name in the previous response, the fact remains that we have provided a service that involved the preparation of a tax return for which the fee has not been paid. We respectfully request that this case be closed, as we do not believe that any further response on our part would be beneficial. Sincerely,Michelle B***Associate Business AnalystH&R Block

my total tax preparation fee was $that what it says on my tax forms this is unacceptable because it doesn't answer my complaints reallyI was not informed of the fee until the very end of the tax preparation, when I had already signed or I wouldn't have signed the other concern is that they agree advertising file for free the exact same forms that was used in mineif you used the website I have inn the past and would've done it for free myself had I been aware.
