Dear Revdex.com,In response to the rebuttal, the bank deposit as it relates would have shown as coming from Bofl Federal Bank (Bofl) and not H&R Block as the attached letter indicatesWe refer Ms*** back to her banking institution to clarify the name of the bank from which the funds were sent. Dear Revdex.com, In resolution to this matter, records reflect that this issue involved unreported income that was not presented to the tax professional during the initial preparation of Mr*** tax returnOur due diligence in this matter would have been to review the client’s
IRS notice, investigate our actions and amend the tax return if neededAs it relates to this case, Mr*** returned to our office demanding that we pay his tax liability, refund tax preparation fees and the fees charged by another tax company implying that his return had already been amendedIn our efforts to investigate Mr*** claims, it was necessary that we review his paperwork however, he refused to cooperateIt should also be noted that Mr***’ visits to our office were disruptive as he would verbally attack our associates and create a sceneAlthough, we were unable to definitively conclude any errors made by our tax professional, a portion of Mr*** fees were still refunded as a client gestureWe sincerely regret Mr*** experience. However, it is our belief that the return was prepared correctly with the information provided during the tax interviewShould you need anything further or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact meSincerely, *** *** Associate Business Analyst H&R Block

Dear Revdex.com,While we regret any confusions or misunderstandings of the tax preparation services Ms*** may have experienced, our review of this matter reflects that Ms*** brought in an original self-prepared ** State return to the office to have it amended to add an ** State tax creditThe Franchise office prepared an amended SC return for Ms*** at her direction, however the original return she self-prepared had never been sent into the state. Our Franchisee, *** *** spoke with Ms*** on Tuesday, January 12, to explain this to herMs*** agreed to come into the office to pick up her original ** return in order to submit to the state for processing. While we regret Ms***'s dissatisfaction with our company, we consider all of her issues addressed and this matter closedShould she have any additional questions or concerns, we refer her back to the Franchisee, *** ***. Dear Revdex.com,While we regret any confusions or misunderstandings of our tax preparation program and services that Ms*** my have, our review of this matter determines that her self-prepared return was filed as directed by the user of the program and filed in accordance with the product terms and conditions agreed to upon use of the program Our review further reflects that during the *** Credits interview, the user was presented with a screen titled Homestead Declaration and Property Tax Adjustment and was asked to check any of the following situations that apply to the taxpayer: 1.) I owned my home in *** as of April 1, 2015, 2.) I rented my home in *** for all of 2014, 3.) I don't own or rent my home or someone else is claiming the rental rebate or property tax adjustment If any of these options were chosen, the user would have been presented further screens that related to the property tax adjustment or renter rebateHowever, since the form was not included in the return that was created, these questions were not answered by the user. In an effort to show a gesture of good faith for any inconvenience, H&R Block refunded the cost of the program fee to Ms***In light of that good faith action to resolve this matter, we respectfully request that this case be closed, as no further response on our part would be beneficial.Sincerely,*** ***Associate Business AnalystH&R Block

I am rejecting this response because: while I appreciate the $refund I had to file a compliant with the Revdex.com to get it- since dealing with your manager didn't produce a response or refund after contactsUnderstand that I just got my check for my return because of your reps error, I am at very least due interest for the year plus I didn't have MY MONEYPlus the lost wages and expense to rectify this situationMy wages were lost because *** the person that I paid at HR block kept telling me that IRS OFFICE is where I had to go to find out what happen - instead of her telling me she never filed themshe sent me on a wild goose chase which lost my wages Her continued "help" is what caused the lost wages and expense to find out what happenedOnce it was brought to HR Blocks attention that you never provided the service- look what I had to go through to get my $back, that should of been automatic once identifiedHr block still wanted to make money on services never renderedI am a college student not having my tax money caused me hardship, for over a yearYou bothered to mention how many millions of clients you have so this matter should be taken to twitterAlso I am now filing a complaint with the FTC, as they should be aware of this treatmentUnacceptableThe request for funds to make me whole again were reasonable.

I am rejecting this response because: There has been no attempt to contact usI have provided MULTIPLE phone numbersThey stated in that they could not call long distance - our primary phone was a MN (*** area code) so I got a TX cell phone and provided that phone number, plus my work number (*** area code)There are no voice mail messages from H&R Block on any of the three phone numbers I have providedThey further demonstrated their inability to resolve this issue in a timely fashionMy complaint was nearly a year agoI rejected their previous response in December of and heard NOTHINGWe moved in May of and did not feel the need to provide them with a forwarding address as we will NEVER do business with them againI'd like to know when they mailed a letter? Their response is dated 8/30/We have been in a state of emergency since 8/25/due to Hurricane Harvey and mail service was suspended during that timeWe will not hold our breath hoping from a letter from H&R block more than a year after the error was madeTheir district manager in this area promised multiple times to follow up with me regarding the issue, but failedThe only times I spoke with him was when I called to get a status updateNEVER was the office proactive in communicationsA simple we apologize for the error and here is how we are going to resolve the issue and compensate you for our error would have been appreciated - in when they messed upIt took forever to get our original paperwork back from them too, which we brought in promptly when we discovered their error and asked them to correct and remedy the situationIt took the State of MN nearly months to refund us the over payment of $2800+ dollars, which put a financial strain on us for a number of monthsObviously a year later we have recovered no thanks to H&R Block. Not to be petty but knowing how upset I am with their company and the hardship they created you would think they could have double checked their reply and been more careful (show ability to demonstrate attention to detail) and not state, "efforts to contact Ms*** to discuss his complaint." It gives the impression this is a form response that was copied and pasted in haste.
