Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/11/21) */
Per this request, we have removed *** from www.giftly.com and www.treatgiftcards.comWhenever a merchant requests removal of their business page we are willing to do so
I'm sorry that our website has caused concern but
please allow me to explain what's happening because I think this might simply be a misunderstanding
Both Giftly and Treat Gift Cards are quite a bit different from traditional gift cards
The Treat Gift Card is a MasterCard network branded prepaid cardIt works just like any prepaid card except it can be restricted for use at one or more merchants selected by the buyer
Most traditional gift card programs require you as the merchant to purchase expensive equipment and softwareWe've developed a way to create gift cards without requiring the merchant to do a thing, which is why our selection of available merchants is so large
A Giftly is a cash gift with a suggestion for where to spend itAny business can be listed and suggestedGiftly recipients redeem their gifts through our website and we send the Giftly recipient the gifted funds directly that they use to make a purchase at your business
When the recipient of a Giftly or Treat Gift Card comes into your business, they pay you the full amount for their purchaseYou will be paid just as if the customer made their purchase using any credit or debit cardThere's nothing special you need to do
You acquire full price paying customers just by having your page listed with us, which is completely freeOver 100,gift cards have been given through our gift card brands

This merchant contacted us in November requesting removal of his business from our website
I am confused why a Revdex.com complaint was filed, because we resolved this issue with the merchant at that time
On November 11, we
responded to his email confirming removal of the requested page (http://www.treatgiftcards.com/gift-card/pentech-services-penticton) and clarifying how our gift cards work
Below is the message we sent to
***@mail.com We did not receive a reply
Dear ***,
That's not a problem if you would prefer your business not to be listed on our gift card siteI have removed your page and requested that Google delete it from their index, which sometimes takes a day or two
I'm sorry that our website has caused you concern but please allow me to explain what's happening because I do think this might simply be a misunderstanding

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/12/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I did not list my site with your company, your company assumed I wanted my company's images and name listed there
I fully understand your business model and how it works, you are not understanding my point here
Your company indexed my company's site without my knowledge and used it's name and images
I don't care if it's free or not, if your company did something nefarious in the future my association with your company could be misconstrued
You shouldn't assume companies like mine WANT to be a part of your site
It should be an osituation
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/12/31) */
Our website has not launched yetConsumers cannot currently purchase gift cards from www.treatgiftcards.comPart of the reason the website is live prior to launch is to finalize the list of merchants who will be participating in the program

My husband used giftly to give me a Christmas presentWhen I went to redeem it at the store he intended for me to shop, giftly said it would take up to days to receive the gift card by mail, or I could use another option and have the money credited to one of my charge cards, and it would only take a couple of days to receive the credit After putting all my credit card infointo their system, I received an e-mail stating I would receive the credit in a couple of daysIt has now been a week and still no credit has shown up on my account I have e-mailed giftly to find out why no credit, but have received no response My husband intended this Christmas gift to be a pleasurable shopping experience, so farit's only been a frustrationGiftly took his money and we can't seem to get it back!!! NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Please let me know how to proceed.Sincerely, *** ***

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/01/20) */
This has already been resolved directly with the customerWe sent a full refund to her as she requested
The customer ordered a $Giftly on the night of December 19, She paid for Giftly to be shipped via USPS Priority Mail
The USPS tracking number assigned to this card was XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXAlthough the card was accepted at the post office in a timely manner, the card was not delivered to the customer's address until January 4, No tracking events were documented between December 21, and January 2, 2016, which can be verified at www.usps.com
Although the delay was due to circumstances outside Gifty's control, we refunded the expedited shipping cost to the customer
As soon as Giftly learned of the shipping delay, we emailed the customer a printable copy of the card and drew her attention to the Order Details page where she could deliver the card to the recipient via email or text message, cancel the gift and receive a refund, or request a replacement card to be mailed
On December 30, the customer used an online copy of the card to redeem the GiftlyShe requested that the funds be sent on a Visa Gift Card in the mailThe redemption form states that delivery should be expected in 10-days
As the expected delivery date approached, *** contacted us to let us know it still had not arrivedWe encouraged her to wait a couple more days in case the card was just delayed in the mailWe had seen with Visa Gift Cards mailed to other customers at around the same time that they were taking longer than usual to be delivered, presumably because of post office delays due to the holiday rushCanceling a gift card only to have it arrive a couple days later provides a very poor experience for the gift recipient, so we like to prevent that if at all possible
Multiple times throughout this correspondence we reassured *** that if the gift card does not arrive for some reason we would mail a replacement or send the funds electronicallyWe stated this in an email to *** on January 9, and again on January and January All three of these messages were received by *** prior to her filing a complaint with Revdex.com
As of January *** stated that the Visa Gift Card had not yet arrived, so we canceled the card and sent her a refund to the card she used to make the purchase, including the processing fee (but minus the shipping fee since that was already sent to her)

This was the best, quick and easy way to send a gift to anyone No hassle and it processes immediately.I will certainty use again

On 03/20/we received a concern from The *** *** about the sale of gift cards for their establishment by GiftlyOn that same day we responded by addressing how Giftly works and asked if they would like us to remove the page or take any
other actionWe never heard back until this complaint was sent to us via Revdex.comWhenever a merchant requests to remove their page, we will do so with no questions asked
The page has been removed and we have requested that Google delete it from their index as well

We do not have record of any gifts given to "*** ***." Additionally there are no user accounts associated with this name, and we have also not received any support tickets
I'm assuming the gift may be listed under a different
name in our system
Could the customer please contact us at ***@giftly.com to provide their six letter activation code or other information about the gift to help us identify it?
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 8, 2015/08/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
it was said to me in a email that the money was refunded to the buyerso I guess this is case closedbut the name it was under was Miss ***

Wonderful having such a fast and convenient way to send someone a gift card

We spoke with *** *** at length in January As of today, the gift card is almost two and a half years old.
We are very sorry for the less than ideal experience while trying to pay at the restaurant last December.
The gift card was declined because the cashier attempted to
authorize it for an amount greater than the card's balanceThe balance can be checked by going to https://giftly.omnicard.com/cards/balance or calling the phone number printed on the back of the card
Giftly's terms and conditions (***) state that we will refund a purchase, for any reason, before the gift is redeemed on our website, which happened for this gift on June 25, 2014.
On December 28, 2015, *** *** spoke via phone with a representative of Omnicard, our partner company that manages the Visa Gift CardsThe notes for that call were regarding the inactivity fees that were charged to the card beginning at one year of inactivityThe fees were reversed at that time and restored to his card's balance.
During the call, there was no direction regarding the usage of the card from the day before.
The card's transaction history indicates that there were a few attempts to use the card on December 27, that were declined at a restaurantThe attempts were for a dollar amount greater than the balance of the card.
The transaction history indicates that the card was declined because it was run incorrectly at the restaurant, not because the card itself is defective.
Because there is nothing wrong with the card, we offered a couple options to *** *** during our communication in January.
We explained that he could spend the Visa Gift Card as cash at any place of his choosing if he preferred not to return to the restaurantThe Visa Gift Card in his possession is the equivalent of cash and can be used as payment anywhere that Visa debit cards are acceptedIt is a standard Visa Gift Card and there is nothing special or unique about its usage compared to other prepaid cards
Alternatively, we offered to refund him the balance of the gift card minus a small fee that is charged to Giftly by Omnicard for decoding the card's magnetic strip.

When some merchants (like restaurants) run credit cards, they will often run it for more than the check amount so that a tip can be added to the billThey should not do this when running a gift card, but some they do so in error
All
gifts sold on our website have a 100% satisfaction guarantee until usedPer their request, we have sent this customer a full refund of $to their credit cardThe refund was sent on Sun Feb 15, at 04:PM PT

Giftly was not contacted by this customer prior to communication via Revdex.com.The customer disputed the purchase with their card issuer, and Giftly provided additional information about the transaction to support the fraud investigationOn Feb 28, 2016, the bank resolved the dispute in Giftly's favor
The purchase of this gift card was validated by the customer's card issuer, the payment processor and Giftly's system, and it passed the required AVS and CVC checks.Giftly refunded $to the customer's debit card on Mar 8, 2016, immediately upon receiving the request via Revdex.com.An order number is not required to submit a help ticket on our websiteThe contact form contains a prominent link beneath the Order Number field that says "Click here if you don't have or can't find your order number." Whenever a merchant writes in and requests removal of their business listing, we are happy to do soAs of 7/23/15, Extreme Tattoo's page has been removed from our siteWe have also requested that Google delete the page from its index

I do not want to be associated with this company in any wayIt is definitely not clear to me how I am getting paid, so therefore I want their assurance that my page"Extreme Tattoo" is NOT listed with them
*** *** , Extreme Tattoo
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/08/17) */
As stated in our previous response, we removed the listing for Extreme Tattoo in *** at the merchant's first request
A Giftly is not a traditional gift card; it is cash with a suggestion for where to spend it
A Giftly customer will present a form of payment such as credit card when making a purchase at the merchantWe send the gifted funds to the Giftly recipient directly so there's nothing the merchant needs to doThe merchant will be paid just as they would from any other customer
Having your page listed with Giftly is basically free advertisingWe provide the merchant with full price, paying customers at no charge to them

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/01/20) */
The first and only communication we have received from this customer was in the form of this Revdex.com complaint
On Friday, December 11, Ms*** ordered a Giftly greeting card to be shipped to the recipient's address via USPS First-Class
MailOn the purchase form, it states that the card will be delivered in 5-days
The card was received by the recipient within that timeframe, because the gift was redeemed on Saturday, December using the code printed on the card that was sent in the mailAt this time the recipient requested to receive the funds on a Visa Gift Card in the mail
The redemption form clearly states that the Visa Gift Card can be expected to arrive in 10-days, which would put its delivery date well after Christmas
The Visa Gift Card has been received and activated by the recipient, and as of January 20, 2016, all but $of the balance has been spentGiftly will not be providing a refund for a gift card that has already been spent
