We called Perma-Seal to our home in June after the sump pump failed and caused major damage to our family and utility roomsTheir repJohn *** did an extensive investigation, explained the problem thoroughly and provided camera shots as proof and prepared a detailed account of suggested work and costWhen the workers came, they were polite, efficient, incredibly confident and we were delighted with the results After a suggested maintenance check of the sump pump in July/I asked the worker to check a tiny leak under the utility sinkHe didn't hesitate to get down on hands and knees and investigate and found the crack behind a sealed wall behind the utility sink If left undetected, the crack would have caused further damage The worker, Romero, was prompt and efficient and did an excellent job I have nothing but praise for the Perma-Seal staff and workersThe entire experience was surprisingly more affordable than I imagined it would be

I've used Permaseal over the past years to put in my sump pumpThey did good work and put in a high quality Zoller pumpGood customer service

Excellent Service, very knowledgeable in all aspects of the job

From the very start Permaseal representatives were all courteous, professional, helpful, calming as it was a serious condition we were dealing with in our basement...they took the time to explain the benefits and how results would be and indeed they were!!! We are so pleased with the work! We noticed a difference even before the encapsulation was completed So clean, NO musty smell in crawlspace anymore and humidity speedily dropped to range 40%....Great people...great service and relief to know that things are doneyear warranty to boot!!!! One happy customer

I completely felt like the salesman lied to me to get a sale and his commissionKey points below:
1) He tried to upsell my on sump pumpHe followed up repeatedly to sign the contract and when I said I wouldn't buy the sump pump he became disengaged and service level went to zero
2) He walked thru my basement pointing out many "issues"He prepared a contract with a "homeowner prep sheet"I asked him about the insulation on the foundation wall, he said the repair would be invisible to me and insulation would be taped overThe "homeowner prep sheet" says nothing about the insulationHe lied
3) I have one specific question after he left my house, "what is the pressure used to insert the sealing compound?"He called me back and said PSIToday, repairman is here and the answer is PSIMy Family has had problems with sealant not going all the way thru to fix the cracks, that is why the pressure is so importantIf salesman was truthful, I would not proceed w/ service

Perms-Seal did a fantastic job of installing, instructing, and following up after the completion of my basement improvement!

I called perma-seal for an issue regarding seepage into our family roomJohn *** called and confirmed our appointment the day before and on the same dayJohn was very polite and conducted himself in a very professional way,proper ID, gave us a very in debt history of the company and hand carried his crocks not to step on our carpeting the works! After a thorough inspection of our house and the issue we were having he made some suggestions, needless to say John, is very knowledgable individual,who puts you at ease right from the start, my wife and I look forward to getting the work done to our housePermanent-seal should take pride in having John in representing such a great companyI would without hesitation recommend Permanent-seal to family and friends

*** and the crew performing the work They were very professional, and knowledgeable about their businessRuben presented his company's proposal competently, convincing and thoroughly, he knows his stuff; I would recommend them to anyone pricey though

We had a positive experience with Perma-Seal Having Joe come out to check the basement and the exterior of our home on a cold winter evening was more than than I can ask When Joe checked the basement he explained how and why the moisture was coming in He suggested the entire basement be done and what to move and what to coverThe work itself went quick and clean even though it was extremely cold outdoorsJoe and the men who did the work were friendly and professional

We experienced TERRIBLE service from Perma- Seal Of Downers Grove IL. The work that they did for us cost thousands of dollars and was poorly done. We complained that it was not completed properly and they had to come back and re-do one whole wall. In addition, bolts were not even properly tightened. In the process of doing this work, they cut our sewer line in half after repeatedly being told it was right there!!! This happened before noon and they told us they would pick up parts on their way home and repair it the next day. Like we were suppose to go without water, bathrooms or plumbing of any kind until they showed up again. We said no to that and they had their own Plumber come out twice in the same day as the first time was not acceptable to us due to inadequate work to remedy the situation. They never filled in the trench left from their excavation because they said the weather was getting too bad so they would be back when weather permitted. This was in December. They just called back in May. My husband already fixed it himself because our sump pump ran non stop. We have used many good service companies over our almost 50 years of marriage but rate this one as the worst!!!!!

I AM NOT HAPPY - THEY WILL NOT RETURN MY PHONE CALLS AND HAVE DONE NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM OF THE SMELLY MARSH OR THE DISCONNECTED PIPE THAT IS NOW ABOVE GROUND RUNNING INTO THE SWAIL IN THE BACKYARD. I AM FAR FROM HAPPY! PERMA SEAL NEEDS TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THIS MISTAKE AND QUIT MAKING EXCUESES. THEY KNOW THEY ARE WRONG AND THEY WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM WITHOUT ME PUTTING OUT MORE MONEY! SO NOT HAPPY!

[redacted] and I had a very pleasant conversation about how we're going to resolve her issues. She is quite happy now.

My name is [redacted]. I had Perma-Seal out at my house on January 15 th 2016.
I've had a problem with water in my basement and they GUARANTEED that they would fix this problem.
Since ''my repair job'' and 3,000 later I have had water in my basement on 10 occasions.
Every time it rains, I have to go downstairs and put towels to collect the water.
I'm 76 years old and have had 2 knee replacements and 2 hip surgeries so it's very difficult of me to go up stairs with wet towels.
There was an area manager that recently came out and now they are telling me that they need to do addition work that is going to cost em another 3-4,000!!
They did not correct the problem in the first place. Whatever they did initially did nothing but cost me 3,000!!
Now they want more money out of me.
I'm NOT happy with the service.
I called several times before anybody came out to meet with me.
I've spent so much money and they did NOT correct the problem and now they want more money.
I'm a very dissatisfied customer and I would not suggest this company to anybody!

The service representative was extremely well-versed in giving us all of the options so that we can make an informed decision. We are very happy to have gone with Perma-Seal and definitely recommend others to go with them as well.
