The entire point of our claim is Balboa’s contracting process.  There was not full disclosure of contract terms in the contract could not be viewed at the time of signing because it was grayed out except for the signing fields by the software used for electronic signatures. Balboa has contacted us and we are in discussions with them. At this point we are not satisfied with the results  but we Will continue to work with them with the hope of resolving this issue.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. They keep being cynical and unwilling to resolve the issues against our initial agreement. They are dishonest and deceptive.I only accept the resolution of " One year of interest payment on the loan with the option of buy out at the 1 year anniversary with no further interest on the balance of the loan. Also they will need to specify how much of my current payments are going against the principal and how much is interest. They specifically refuse to do this as I predict they want to apply ALL of this monthly payment to "interest only". If they do not have deceptive intentions, they must clarify this in writing.

They did not respond to any of my points. They lied about the initial terms, telling me that it was equivalent to 11% apr when it was really more like 50%.
They lied to me when I inquired as to why the lease was not up yet, telling me that it was not up until next year when in fact they had renewed it for another year without telling me and continued deducting funds from my checking account.
This is the most dishonest and unethical company I have ever dealt with. My experience with them is not an isolated incident.  See   http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/balboa-capital-california-c211195.... /> I had proposed many times in the last six months to settle this matter and they have not responded. Since they had charged me over $7000 of additional payments past the term of the original lease and the equipment market value they gave was $5500, I proposed calling it square
They have not responded to this and continue trying to withdraw funds out of my bank account..

Since we already purchased fixtures and not equipment as they state, we would like them to honor the 60 month term payment as they agreed. This agreement included $ 13,501.52 in financing charges and built for $ 36,670.48. This is how it was presented by the salesman [redacted] to our company and the buy out was a dollar only. They were paid in full and the financing agreement was 60 months ending March 2015. This agreement was satisfied according to the [redacted] terms and conditions. Now they want additional money for fixtures that they knew were not equipment. Just honor the original agreement that was presented, as this was a 60 month term payment and after the last payment, we own the fixtures for a dollar. Stop the harassment and the threats and don't misrepresent the original agreement as it constitutes fraud. They were paid in full. Accept what was agreed upon.

We are attempting to contact the customer.

We have reached out to the customer and are working on a resolution that is satisfactory to both parties.

Beware and make sure you read the fine print or better yet stay away. The first thing that got me was a insurance fee for not having insurance on the equipment.I have insurance on all of my equipment and sent many time my insurance coverage for my equipment but it just never met there standards it works for everthing else but not there standards. Here is the good part I called to say that I was having problems with the equipment and wanted to file a insurance claim well I wasn't paying for insurance I was paying because I didn't have insurance other words giving them money for nothing.Well I have finally gotten to my last payment and I have a $450 termination fee this is to close the account stay away from these people if you want to keep your money.

We have contacted the customer and have reached a resolution that is satisfactory to both parties.

After being rescheduled on twice, we were finally able to hold a call with a new representative from Balboa this afternoon. As such, I have not yet received any proposed action from Balboa and did not want to see the calendar expire on my ability to respond.

Balboa Capital Corp, uses predatory lending practices. In selling their lease programs they have sales people, Namely [redacted] who creates a payment plan with terms and example 12 quarterly payments. Then they tack on large additional sums in the name of prorating costs and hiden cost of recharging the customers for the "fair market value" of items after you have paid a .33% price above original purchase price. At the close of the "lease" only then are you made aware of the high costs, and deceptive loaning practices, non of which were mentioned during the sale. You need a law degree to understand their small print. The language in the contracts are designed to deceive you. Then the client is ignores in response to email and phone calls. This company does not deserve A+ rating. More like an F for lying, and preying on business owners who need non traditional lending. Predatory loan sharks with zero conscious. Stay away!!

Yesterday on June 16the I received a missed call and a voice message on my phone from Balboa Capital while at a lunch meeting. About 30 minutes later, I received a response from Balboa Capital on the Revdex.com website indicating that they had attempted to reach us but we were unresponsive. My assistant who has access to my work phone did call back Balboa capital but was unsure what the call was about so she hung up the phone. About one hour after I had originally received our one and only call from Balboa Capital about this complaint, I called back and spoke to a rude woman named Jacqueline who argued with me over the phone as to why my assistant called them and hung up. The purpose of calling them back to get some help and what I need. This frustrating and unprofessional experience on our end has led us once again to a dead end without a resolution. I will continue this with the Department of Consumer Affairs and would like the Revdex.com to refer this case over to them as well.
