Be cautious before committing with Arete financialI was lured in after speaking with an associate of theirs on the phone for almost hoursI broke down all of my expenses to her and told her in detail how much money I pay monthly on each of my student loans, at the end of our conversation she made me certain all of my loans would be consolidated into one low-monthly paymentCome to find out a month later, of my student loans were not included in this consolidationI was never told this during the initial consultThey made me believe all loans, including personal would be consolidated but they are notBottom line, ask specifically about EVERY loan your looking to consolidate so you don’t have any surprises later down the road

This third-party vendor claims to be a part of the department of education, stating that they can consolidate my loans with a fee of $I did not realize this was a scam so I fell for it and provided the agent with my personal information, such as my credit card numberI do not wish to work with this vendor for my loan servicesI would like to prevent this company from having any business with me

I've been a customer of Arete for a few months now, and they're already improving my previously untenable financial situation by a significant amount I'm very happy with the results thus far

I signed up last month and had called to cancel my scheduled payment for the first of October, they took the money out anyway $on the first and ever since the first days of this month I have made many calls to request my refund and they have been telling me it had to go to upper management and would give me an answer in to days, and all month they kept saying the same thing, and never answered my calls or request, no courtesy calls or anything in response, also being rude when I callAlso they had offered to have my next payment due until December firstAnd out of the blue today I get an e-mail cancelling me in the program when I didnt ask for that.Furthermore today they were supposed to call me in answer of the higher authority answer of my request.I srtongly feel I have been descriminated being a Senior y ears old and also because I was going through a hardship situation.I honestly think I dont deserve thisI also was transfered to speak to one of their attorneys
