I called this company to come to my residence to look at my refrigerator to see if it could be repaired. My daughter was home at the time that the technician came to my house. He looked at the fridge, took apart the back of the fridge (where the compressor is) and told my daughter *** that he could fix the issue right there. He informed her that the labour cost would be $290+tax. We had already agreed to pay $80 upon arrival for him coming to my house. He told her the $290+tax included the $80. She called me and told me what he had said and I said to do the repairs. He asked my daughter for a vacuum to vacuum behind the fridge. He sat behind the fridge for about 10 minutes before informing my daughter that we would need a compressor, coolant fan and another part. All of this would cost $1380+tax. He also informed my daughter that this company would need to call a licensed repairman to do the necessary work as this gentleman was not licensed. He then asked my daughter to pay the $290+tax. She refused to pay him any more than the already agreed upon $80 because he did not do any extra work after letting her know he could fix the issue. My daughter did pay the technician $80 in cash to which we do have a receipt for. I called the company and they gave me the run around about how it was a gamble that unfortunately did not pay off in my favour but in theirs. I then asked to speak with a manager and the receptionist said she would get a manager to call me back. A manager called my daughter and threatened my daughter about not paying the remaining balance. She said that it was our fault for agreeing to have the labour done and that if we did not pay it would go to collections. The lady on the phone then informed the technician to leave the bill; that we would not be paying. As he was leaving my house he then threatened my daughter as well by saying that if we did not pay they would harass us until we did. In the bill that he left for us it states that upon completion of work the technician will clean any and all messes that had been made due to the labour. He did not clean his mess and left it for my husband to clean. My daughter took pictures of my kitchen with the mess that he left.
We are seeking the resolution of the billing be adjusted to have the $80 paid. We would like the remaining $255 to waived off the bill. We would also like to be contacted by this company so that they may apologize to us regarding this issue.

I should have looked up the reviews in Revdex.com on this company before calling them to service our range hood. On July 6, 2018, I called Appliance Repairman to come to our condo to fix our range hood. As soon as the two guys came in, they asked to be paid even before doing the work. I refused but had my agreement to pay $280 for the work they would do for that day. It's Friday afternoon, we just wanted our range hood fixed. They really know how to get people, they said a lot of things that made them sound like experts, i.e. that if we were to get another service guy, we'd probably require an electrician but with them, we didn't have to. They made the slip that if we needed parts, they might have to come back. And when I mentioned that they had to come back because who would install the parts, they said of course, they would come back at no extra charge. Stupid me, I should have caught that one. After spending few minutes checking the wirings, they said we needed the main control board. So, they left with $316 in their pockets saying they would order the part and call me back. I called their office Monday morning and in the afternoon until Wednesday asking for an update. They kept saying they would call me end of day. I was suspicious when I didn't get a call and on Tuesday, I checked the Revdex.com website and was not surprised to find many complaints posted, with similar MO. It's been 2 ½ weeks and not one phone call from this company. How can people get away with this? Isn't there a way to stop this company from doing this to people?

. The service was horrible and they charge a ton for nothing. They told us our fan was the problem in our fridge (he just used the vacuum to clean the area) and charged over 250 dollars then when our fridge didn't work they said days later it's the compressor (without even checking the compressor) and said it'll be another $1200 to fix it. If they told us initially that it was the compressor I would've just gotten the compressor repaired or a new fridge. Why would they make me pay for 'fixing' the fan. he "fixed " the fan by just vacuuming the area by the fridge and wrote in our bill that he serviced our main board and stuff too. Like he didn't even do anything like that!! My husband tried giving him the manual for our fridge to enter the diagnostic mode and he said no it's just the fan. Like he assured us it was the fan and charged so much. $80 for coming but they add other charges for trying to diagnose/figure out the problem then more charges to fix it. After my horrible experience I went online and there are DOZENS of stories on other review websites talking about how they charge at least 300 just for diagnosing but then they say they fixed the problem even though the problem comes back and then they ask for more money later. One person on the other site said the part was $35 but they charged like over 100-200 for all the random stuff they include. I filed a formal complaint to the business bureau because the company is just horrible and their customer care is the worst. If I paid 20 dollars I wouldn't feel bad but I paid over $250 like I deserve service.

On 16/03/2018 my refrigerator quit working. I phoned the store where I purchased the unit from they said it would be (5) five days before they could send someone to do the repair they told me the warranty was out & I would have to pay for the repair.
I then called Oshawa appliance at this phone #*** but got Appliance repairman the lady I spoke to said they could have a repairman at my home within (2) hours & the call would be $80 , when the repairman arrived he opened the fridge door checked the settings then took the freezer drawer off removed the panel inside the freezer at the back & found a build up of ice he removed the ice with steam then put everything back, he then told me he would have to do the following service to find what was wrong with the unit, these are the services he said he done (cooling systems) Main board wiring service) (condenser air flow) none of these did he perform nor did he he recharge the or check for leaks as his report states, he then told me I would have to pay $361.60 & would have to pay with my debit card I did say you did not do the work you have put on the work order & he said if I don't pay they would come after me for the money so I paid he then said the compressor was faulty & would have to be replaced & it would cost $1380 I then told him I would call the manufacturer & he left my home.
I call ed the manufacturer (***) as the unit was only 17 months old they told me all inclosed parts were under warranty for (5) five years & they would have to send there repairman to test the unit, there repairman cut the lines tested found a small leak done the repair took him 1/2hr to do it & the unit is working great ever since & no compressor was required.
The repairman from *** said the repairman from Appliance repairman did non of the services he said he done & these services were not required th find the problem with the unit.

On Monday, July 9th a repair man from Appliance Repairman came to fix our fridge. The compressor and fan needed to be replaced. The repair technician, named ***, was only able to replace the compressor because he did not have a new fan to replace the damaged fan with. He told me that someone would return on July 10th or 11th to finish repairing the fridge and that someone will call me later that day (July 9th) to book the appointment with me. In the meantime, he asked that I call account services to pay for the repair, which I did using my *** for the remaining amount of $820. An initial down payment was made for $1033.20 was made by a *** payment. The total cost for fridge repair, including taxes was $1,853.20 During the time that *** was at my house to fix my fridge, I was not home and instead my son, *** was here during the 2 hours it took for the compressor to get replaced. My son said that when *** left, he did not clean up any of the mess he made in the kitchen. My son had to quickly sweep the kitchen and then run off to an appointment that he scheduled. When I got home, there was garbage on my front porch, including the old compressor from my fridge. My kitchen was filthy; there was debris (black particles) all over my kitchen and a metal tube from the fridge was sitting in my sink, but most noticeably, there was damage done to my kitchen floor that looked like a burn mark and the linoleum floor had bubbled up. I called Appliance Repairman to report the problem and they asked me to take a picture of the damage and email it to them, which I did. I received an email last night from them and they said that my account was reviewed with the head technician and they do not see any way the technician could have caused that damage. In addition, they offered me a $50 good will refund to settle my account. The damage was done them and no one else but unfortunately my son was standing over them to watch every move *** made while repairing the fridge and did not notice the damage until after *** left; $50 will not cover the damage that was done. My entire floor has to be replaced. On top of this, they still have finished repairing my fridge and I have now called them three times to book an appointment and each time they tell me they will call back, but they haven't yet. I'm afraid now that because I paid them already, they are not going to finish the job. I'm not sure what my next steps should be and would like any advice/ direction that you can provide to me.
Although, I know *** damaged my floor in my kitchen, I do not have proof of this. I would like to have someone come here ASAP to finish repairing my fridge. I have been without a fridge over a week now and I have already paid for the service. Appliance Repairman has made no effort to call and make an appointment with me and I'm starting to think that this is not going to happen.

Hello,

Thank you.
Odd sound coming from my fridge so called Appliance Repairman. Service Tech came, said problem happens all the time with the type of fridge I have but he knows exactly whats wrong and will fix it. He did his work and charged me $361.60. A few days later not only did the sound come back but my fridge started to leak water. Called him back to come out and look at it. He came and now informs me I need a new back panel in order to fix the problem. I tell him I'm not paying him anymore money and that I will fix the problem if it's easy to do. He agrees and leaves. I take apart the fridge and find that what he explained and what he "fixed" is a total lie. He did nothing to my fridge except de-ice it with a steamer and unclog the drain pipe and not only charged me $361 but no have a leaking fridge. I called to complain but was told nothing could be done. After reading all the reviews on *** and seeing how many people had similar problems and how poorly the company is Rated I feel the Revdex.com needs to look into this corrupt company and intervene before that take advantage of more people.
I am a reasonable guy and I'll I'm asking for is a refund minus the service call fee which is usually $85 for these situations. So I would like $275 back.

This company totally misrepresents its services. There is no 24/7, there is no customer support. I was quoted an $80 service fee and $30/10 mins of labour and possible $265 +++ if the technician diagnosed the problem and could fix it. I explained the problem, the tech repeated it back to me and asked for my method of payment BEFORE he even opened my machine. So, my $80 service call including diagnosis is now $265 without even opening my machine? And then says 2 hours minimum at $30/10mins.....on a 10 yr old washer???? As if! ***....'How will you be paying/" and I need the card before I start.
After I refused to make payment, because there was no ACTUAL service, I sent an email to the company explaining my concerns. I had a call back saying the company would forward a recorded phone call with my agreement to the charges......still waiting. I would never refer anyone to call.....unless you have unlimited resources and don't mind being ripped off.
$985 to fix a 10 yr old washer or buy a new one for $913 taxes in.....that will probably last another 10 years.

My wife placed a service call with Appliance Repairman to send a technician to have a look at our oven that was not heating properly.
Sunday May 20th 2018 Charles the repairman comes onsite to assess the repair.
He found the issue to be a defective ignitor. Here is what he charged.
Service charge $80.00
Ignitor part $200.00 ( *** part number *** which I could get on ***.ca for $60 including shipping) When asked why the part so high, Charles stated "It comes with a 30 day warranty". So the warranty cost me $150.00. When I asked to charge me for just the part with out the warranty, he said " I can't because that's how we make our money. It's a business".
Charged $30.00 for every 10 minutes and took 44 minutes to replace part at a total charge of $132.00. (Charged $12.00 for 4 minutes. Wouldn't round off to 40 minutes)
Total $465.00 including taxes.
This company is clearly out to grab as much cash as they can and because I skipped the research of a reputable appliance repair company, I got burned; excuse the pun.
Dealing with Appliance Repairman taught me that you can't let your guard down for a second when researching for any sort of repairs whether in or outside the home.

they quote $80 to get to your home and then they start by saying 280$ to fix the problem when they get there.I had them repair my fridge which eventually cost me $330.00 and the fridge is not working properly, I called customer service the said they will get back to me they never did, I called again they said that the ice maker that the technician said would be working the next day was not part of the fix
