ADT falsely advertised a promotion and failed to offer a compatible package for me as a currebt custoner of 10 years. On March 27, 2017. I contacted ADT because of a flyer that I had received in the mail offering a deal of $27.99 month payment with the purchase of Alarm Monitoring services. The flyer stated that the customer would receive a free security system at no cost for parts and activation and all for $99 installation fee and the purchase of Alarm Monitoring services. The flyer continued to offer free bonus offers of $100 Visa gift card, free wireless remote control, 15 door window sensors, and free digital camera. Since I am currently a customer of ADT for a little over 10 years now, I thought maybe they would not offer me this promotional flyer they promoted, but that they would offer me at least a compatible offer in order to stay as a customer since I am no longer under contract and that I could leave at any time for another company. So without mentioning any names, when
I have been trying to contact the Canadian branch of ADT customer support department for over two months. I have not been successful to speak with a single agent and have received no responses to my online form submissions requesting a call back. Safe to say that I will be transitioning to a new service provider as soon as possible.
We have been Monitronics customers for over years without a contract They recently were acquired by Brinks We called to cancel June 8, 2018, and were told we would have to sign papers to confirm We received these by email and returned them June We were charged nearly a full month ($vs $54) on June I called to complain and was told this was company policy I received nothing in writing about this policy when Brinks acquired Monitronics The wait time on the phone was lengthy Charging customers for services not rendered seems highly unethical to me Even my cable company doesn't do this!
I have never been treated so bad, I have been a client with ADT for many, many years, I have just moved to our new home, and called ADT to transfer my services, I got a Sales person name [redacted] first was super nice, then told me to hangup witj the ADT customer service and he would give me a better rate and $Discount, [redacted] came to my old house, and showed me how to remove my old equipments and take to the new house so I would not be chargedThen we went to my new house, there he started doing his math, and I was suppost not pay anything, well I had to pay $for the instalation along with a Free Alexa that I never GotWell [redacted] works with another small alarm company in the side, where he is stealing customer from ADT, like he offered me, he could get me a better deal with them, I didnt think that was rightWell [redacted] them told me to complain weeks after the instalation to get my Alexa freeI told him, no you have to add lik e you said so, I have text messages between him and iThem now its being montn and my services its still not installed, and they are putting me on the backburnerThen I spoke to his manager [redacted] another very rude person that do not care about his customers at allWell at this time I have file a complain against the company, I am getting a lawyer and disputing the charges with my bankNo one knows anything at the 1800# the keep telling you they are waiting on a answer and they would ca me in 24hoursHello its been over daysOne montn tomorrowHow r we suppost to trust and feel safe with this kind of conpany????
I've recently become an ADT customer and thoroughly regret this decision I signed a year contract in December The saleswoman that came to my house was pushy I've had to call customer service more times than I can count and every time I'm shocked at how rude the representatives are I was told that my first payment would be deducted from my bank account in Feburary and that I could call and arrange what date I wanted to schedule it to be withdrawn on a monthly reoccurring basis I called in January to set up the automatic withdrawal dateInstead of it being taken in February they withdrew it in JanuaryI've called multiple times to get it refunded and over a week later I'm still waiting
Avoid at all costs. They have a series of installers who do a very poor job; they lie about a 6-month satisfaction guarantee, the contract is actually with the installers and they will hold you to it after only three days of service. If the system performs poorly, customer service is awful - they ping-pong you between the installer and ADT. It took 5 calls and over an hour to get someone sent to review the issue. We've only been in the service since July 27th, it's August 8th and we're reportedly locked into the contract. If we cancel they want to charge us over $1,300.

Charged monthly for camera repair service.I called to get service was told it would be daysasked to cancel contract and was denied we are paying a monthly fee for camera service calls for our businessI called for help with a camera that had stopped workingI was told Monday was the soonest appointmentI asked to cancel contract because I was going to have to go out and buy a new system because being a liquor store you need surveillance at all time especially on weekendsI was told they would not release me from contract and I could go out and buy replacement cameras till the came out for repair

I later spoke with someone on the phone at ADT whom told me my written notification was not enough and she sent me a form which I returned. During this entire time ADT continued to bill me for services even though they could not provide the services. Now they which to collect a sum of 402 but when I canceled it was the beginning of a service period and I owed nothing. In late February 2017, our landlord sold the house and gave us 10 days to move, ADT still have out account active. We called several times XXXXXXX Account number under [redacted] My son [redacted] and [redacted] had to move from [redacted] late February 2017 due to our landlord selling the home as short sale. We had 10 days to move. We called ADT several times to close the account but did not accept our closure. We got the run around and transfers to many lines. We need this account closed and retro credit back to Feb.
Removal of residential security system equipment requires ADT tools, which fact ADT does not communicate ADT advertises and communicates, deceptivelyADT says they will not remove equipment, but does not share that only their technicians have screw drivers with tiny square headsTo remove equipment, homeowner must cut the equipment out of the walls and doorsI've offered to pay a service charge for removal or pay to borrow the tool, and was told the next homeowner might want the system, so it's policy not to help me remove it
Service cancelation When I first signed up for adt I spoke to an agent from this company and they told me that we would be able to move our service for free or break our contact if we moved to a place where the service couldn't be offeredI have then moved and they are now trying to charge me the remainder of the contactI have spoke to endless amounts of people from this company and this is not rightThey are not promising what they advertisedStay far away from their servicesI called in spoke to their cancellation department they said everything was okay and asked me to fax them a letterI did that and they still charged me the remainder of my contract It seems like they just like making those promises to get off the phone
Damaged wall during Installation I got a new ADT system installed on 1/14/During the installation of keypad on wall the technician drilled a hole that went from one side of wall to other side of wallNow other side wall was damaged with a holeWhile I understand mistakes do happen but I would expect ADT to get this fixedInstead ADT local office is asking me to find a contractor to get this wall fixed and they will reimburse meSo ADT expects to make mistakes and I as customer need to find contractor, get estimate, get estimate approved then get the repair done, send the bill to get reimbursedThis is not acceptableI don't have time to deal with thisOn top of that Customer service manager Jade Halls whom I spoke with today was very rude and not ready to hear me
Repeatedly overcharged and seeking reimbursement. Requesting release from contract, due to deceptive business practices. This complaint is in regard to account number XXXXXXXXX. I have made various attempts to contact my ADT representative about multiple overcharges to my account, and she will not respond. This, after locking me into a 3-year contract. My contracted rate from June 10, 2018 through June 9, 2021 is $15.99 + tax, equal to $17.31. On June 11, I was charged $28.13, when I was supposed to pay $17.31. This is a $10.82 overcharge. Additionally, I received a notification on June 22 that a $35.70 charge will hit my account on July 10. My actual charge should be $17.31, representing another overcharge of $18.39. There is no reason I should have a charge in the amount of $35.70, nor did they offer any explanation.
