This is in response to the above-referenced complaint filed with your agency by [redacted]. We are providing you with a detailed response that addresses the customer’s concerns.  Xerox Education Services, LLC., doing business as ACS Education Services (“ACS”) services one private...

educational loan account on behalf of Ms. [redacted]’ lender, [redacted].  [redacted] contracted with ACS to maintain servicing, repayment and collection activities on their student loans.  While ACS was the primary contact point for servicing activities, the loan was owned by [redacted] and serviced per their requirements and the terms of the loan’s promissory note.  Our records indicate Ms. [redacted]’ has a variable interest rate subject to change on a quarterly basis, which may result in changes to the monthly installment.  This rate changed from 4.50% to 4.65% on April 1, 2017, which went into effect with the installment due on May 14, 2017.  A letter was mailed to Ms. [redacted] advising her of this change.   Ms. [redacted] remitted payment in the amount of $50.00 which posted to the account on June 2, 2017.  Due to the recent variable interest rate change in April, the monthly installment increased to $50.11.  The account became delinquent for 11 cents as a result.  Notification was sent to Ms. [redacted] via postal mail on June 25, 2017, which advised her of the delinquent status.  Payment in the amount of $50.00 was posted on July 3, 2017, however the account continued to reflect a delinquent status.  Ms. [redacted] remitted a payment of $2.00 on July 5, 2017 which brought her account current.  Payments may take up to 10 business days to be applied.  Ms. [redacted]’ full payment history is enclosed with this response.  We encourage her to contact us directly should she identify any payments that are not reflected on this history.   Should you have any further questions or concerns, please contact our offices Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM EST by calling ###-###-####.  Sincerely, Shannon W.

I reviewed appear below. I have contacted [redacted] and was told that they can only go off of the information that was provided from ACS. ACS has provided them with wrong information. I want all of the late charges that ACS reported removed from my credit report. I would also like an accounting of all of the funds that were paid to ACS and how they were applies to my loan while they were servicing it.

acknowledge the other part of my complaint, which was lack of ease of use. Related to that is how I am now dealing with trying to get my money back after paying for the loan twice this month. All I wanted to do was switch bank accounts and I thought I had changed this but apparently the website did not process my request. I made a manual payment and it also ACH'd me. My bank and the servicer both said that the payment was returned but it wasn't their doing. It took a day and a half before showing up as an NSF. This has caused a lot of trouble and inconvenience for me. Torey has been communicative, but the fact is that I don't agree with these business practices. The website should be clearer and easier to understand, and certainly should be compatible with more modern browsers than Internet explorer. Additionally, it should have been a lot more obvious that they were going to ACH my account. I thought I had cancelled ACH. On my end it looked that way. It's really crummy that I have to drive all the way to my old bank for the second time in a row. Why can't the ACH be cancelled? Why do I have to put money in so that they will take it and then refund it? This is a huge hassle.

On this date I received the refund due me in full, and a letter of closure of my account from this company. After many inquiries and requests to this company for account information, refund of over-payment, and notification of account payment in full, I am done with business with ACS Student Services. I am not satisfied with this company's response to any of my inquiries over a course of 60 days. However, I did receive the refund that was due to me and the letter of closure of my account which I had requested back on July 1, 2015. Therefore the outcome is satisfactory and this Revdex.com case can be closed in my regard.

This has not been taken care of.  I did speak with Brian at ACS, but he told me that he could not do anything to expedite my LVC form.  I was told that my request is one in a a long ordered list and I have to wait until my name comes up.  This has been months and my information is still not being released.  I am on a deadline with the other company ([redacted]) and if the LVC is not received soon, I will not be able to consolidate my loans, leading to financial crippling.  This response is unacceptable because I STILL do not have my information released.   I understand waiting patiently, but I'm on a deadline that is outside my control.  I need someone at ACS to release my LVC.  I understand Brian cannot do it, but I need someone who can.
