Good Morning [redacted] and [redacted], As discussion was had with Upper Management we have considered two options for you: The first option, we are more than happy to Even Exchange the 2 pieces in question for you. We would bring out two new pieces and be taking the damaged items at the same time. The second option would be an instore credit for the 2 pieces at 60%. The total credit back to you would be $1036.02. This will be an instore credit, only to be used in the Brandon Homestore. In regards to your protection plan being refunded you would need to contact Guardsman (your Protection Plan company). They do prorate the protection plan for the number of years that you have had the plan. You would no longer have no coverage on any of your items. The delivery fee refund will be nonrefundable. review of Mr. [redacted]’s situation, we have determined that the items in question are no longer covered under the one year manufacturer’s warranty. With regards to the Guardsman protection plan, we are unable to speak or present facts regarding how the plan was soldto the customer at the time of purchase back in 2011. We do provide a plan policy to each customer that chose to purchase the protection plan. We do feel that it is the customer’s responsibility to review the plan coverage's as well as the terms and conditions of the plan. The issue Mr. [redacted] has reported is not a “covered” damage. While the items in question are out of the warranty Ashley Furniture provides, we have offered the customer 60%of the total cost of the three pieces in question as store credit to assist with replacing the damaged items. We feel that being the items are nearly 4 years old, that this offer makes a good faith effort to resolve his issues. The furniture still has a very strong odor and it is still unusable. The odor causes my asthma to my affect by breathing. They did call me about the serial number. It doesn't matter how they stored or shipped it. The furniture has a chemical stench. I told Elizabeth (who called from the Brandon, FL store) on 3-7-18 that I wanted the furniture picked up and a full credit issued. She said she would tell the Store Manager when he came in on 3-9-18 and he would get back with me. No one has ever called me or contacted me.This is not resolved and won't be until they pick up the furniture and give me a full credit. The furniture has not been used and the tag is still on it.

I went to Ashley's this weekend. One worker immediately told me I can get 30% due to discounts for the Holiday. I said ok. I was offered 50% via Revdex.com- however, the prices of the furniture have significantly increased over the past few years. I urge you to please consider 70% off, as I am ** years old and my only income is my social security. Anything I sat on comfortable, I could not afford with the 50%. Please reconsider as I am out of options and very limited financially.

[redacted] concerns, we reached out to our retail location. Ms. [redacted] was offered a reselection as the original furniture she chose was too large for her home. When the items she reselected to were scheduled to be delivered, Ms. [redacted] was not able to be present for the delivery. She requested that if the delivery team was not able to come back later that day, that we return her purchase completely. As the team was not able to return, our retail locations management set up a refund and return. The items are scheduled to be picked up today, 1/25/18, and when they have been checked back into our warehouse our retail management will begin the refund processes. The refund will be for a total of $1,495.32. We apologize for the inconveniences Ms. [redacted] has experienced. The company did agree to exchange the item for different sofa (double the price) with no mention of a damage good. Only when declined offer then the picture of my cat was added to the conversation. 2. The picture that was taken was illegally taken in my house and should not be used against me. I am happened to be pre-veterinarian student, thus my cats do not have nails. This statement by the company regarding the animal in the household, is based on assumptions only with no proof or inspections of the merchandise.
