Kevin Ellison in the Cleveland, GA office was wonderful to work with. He always kept me up to date about the process, what was needed from me or my client, and when we should close. I definitely recommend him to all of my clients as their first call when looking for a loan officer.

I can't say enough good things about Academy and Shelly, I was always given upfront answers, the comfort of knowing someone was looking out for my interests, and knowing I could rely on Academy to hit deadlines that were imperative to me being able to get under contract on a house before I was leaving the country on vacation. They are super responsive and knowledgeable, which meant I didn't have to worry about the lending side, just my side on closing. Most of all they make everything seem so simple, which doing this process alone can get overwhelming, but I didn't have to worry about any of that!

Kristi is awesome! Friendly and professional. Painless compared to stories from friends who used other lenders. We are first time home buyers and we had a ton of questions and she answered them all and communicated with us and our real estate agent when necessary. She even emailed me after business hours on several occasions to answer my questions. We have zero complaints! Thanks Kristi!

I was searching for a local Mortgage company to do a refinance on my Mortgage when I came across Jamie N from Academy mortgage who was highly recommended on Google. I contacted Jamie and she immediately began to serve all my needs. My loan closed so fast and the whole transaction was stress free from the beginning to the end. I definitely recommend Academy to anyone that is looking to refinance or buy a home. The whole team was great to work with including the title company that they used which was Frontier Title.

I chose Wendy E based on these reviews which is why I had to come back and leave my own review once my loan and settlement were complete. Wendy is awesome! She was fun to work with but also so helpful and informative. She stressed to me from day one that she would put things into terms that I would understand and that she would be happy to go over the loan estimate or anything else we talked about multiple times until it made sense. And she did. We talked a lot! She put me at ease and I never worried about my loan. Wendy and Tish both made the loan process easy to understand, and when I still had questions, they were there to clear things up. Wendy took note of my busy work schedule and would call, text, and/or email depending on the time sensitivity of the next step in the loan process just to make sure we were all on the same page and not getting behind. She was also always available when I needed to call her with a question or concern - we talked during work hours, after work hours when she was at home, and even while she was on vacation! (Of course, I decided to put an offer on my house while both Wendy and my realtor were on vacation! Sorry guys!) Couldn't have asked for a better team as a first-time home buyer!

Great experience! Buying your first house and by yourself is a daunting task for a 25 year old. Definitely had no idea what to do or expect going into this process but quickly felt comfortable thanks to Jennifer b*** and Bonnie M at the academy mortgage in meridian, Idaho. I had a million questions and it was about a 2 year process for me and they walked me through each step all the way till closing! So excited to be in my brand new home. Thanks for all the help! I’ll be back for my next home someday!

Hands down a great Mortgage company. Everyone is very pleasant to speak with and genuinely concern with your concerns. Even if you don’t qualify for a certain loan they will tell you how to qualify and give you step by step on how to make it happen. I was able to receive assistance on my down payments for my home and end up only paying hundreds for the closing on my home. If you choose this company for a Mortgage loan you want be disappointed. And if you ever speak to Damon S he will definitely take care of you. This guy needs a raised he’s so awesome in what he does.

Colin W did extra work to find the best loan arrangement for my situation, and was able to get me substantial savings on closing costs by raising interest rate a little. He was flexible when unforeseen changes occurred, and thus brought everything to a successful conclusion by working closely with the team of real estate agents, underwriters, loan processors and Title company. I intend to make a complaint against the unethical appraiser that Colin was required to work with, (Mr. Hong) who did his best to sabotage the closing by lying repeatedly about completing his work, which he never did. This rude human hung up on Colin the day of closing when Colin tried to get him to finish the overdue work required for the mortgage. (I was sitting at the office for closing and my agent shared all the the breaking news with me.) Colin even apologized to me for the closing snafu, when it was solely the fault of the nefarious Mr. Hong. It was a pleasure to work with such a diligent and skilled professional at Academy Mortgage. He really goes the distance.

The overall experience was great with lots of communication.

So I started at quicken loans and got a new agent every time when /if they picked up the phone . They let me get real close to my deadline and fail me 100% that’s when I switched to academy mortgage and they helped fast track me into my new house . I would not be where I’m at today without the help of Clayton Alecia and Kevin. Seriously these are the best in business right here

Chris was great. He communicated via email and phone when we needed it and helped make the whole process smooth. He also was patient with us as we analysed multiple scenarios to figure out what the right loan was for us.

Everyone we worked with has been fantastic! We hit a small problem and Marianne and her team came through the same day to fix it! We even closed two weeks early with no problems!
