Company responded by phone 1/19/2016-[redacted]Ms. [redacted] states that the consumer's order have been cancelled and that she will not be charged for any further product or charges. She states that the consumer was charged because she did not cancel the trial membership.
Review: Who knows if it really works, I haven’t tried it yet. I did however fall for the RISK FREE TRIAL. Over 3 months I got charged $240 for the FREE trial of the garcinia .I do have a RMA to return 1 bottle. I have not used any of the 3 bottles. When I called to see why I was charged, I was informed it was only FREE for 13 days. Which it says nowhere in ad. I was informed this information was in their terms in conditions. I am so angry that there are companies willing to trick consumers into trying things they cannot afford. Review: I ordered a 30-day supply of Garcinia Cambogia at the introductory rate of $4.95. I did not see the 'fine print' that indicated I was signing up for a monthly subscription at an ongoing price of $77.85 (per month) - my bad. I was surprised when I received a second shipment yesterday. I called their customer servce number (877-836-5521). The first thing I heard on the recording was an announcement that, "You may cancel your account immediately by pressing '1'." I pressed '1' and followed the menu of commands to cancel my account. I then pressed '0' to speak with a rep because I wanted to obtain an RMA to return the unopened shipment. The rep came on the line and I explained what I wanted to do. She advised that since I had already closed my account, she could not issue me an RMA and that I am, essentially, 'stuck' with the product that I received yesterday. I complained that their automated customer service system (mis)led me to cancel my account first. She said, "That's how our terms of service work." I was extremely frustrated. It's not even so much the money, it's the underhanded way that they advertise and then their process that essentially assures them they get to keep at least one month's charges when a customer cancels.Desired Settlement: I want to return the unopened bottle for a full refund.
Review: I opted in on a trial offer of Absolute Garcinia's product.The offer stated to pay a small fee for shipping and handling.The trial period was 13 days at which point you had to call customer service to cancel the trial or your credit card would be charged for the bottle received and for future products. I called within 13 days to cancel the subscription. I was told that I needed to pay for the unused bottle, $20.11, or return it at my expense. I informed them that no where in their policy did it state that I would be sending the unused portion back, nor would I be paying for the bottle. I then read the policy to the CSR. He insisted I was wrong. I became upset. I asked him at several points to please explain where this was stated and he outright refused me, telling me he would not tell me where to find it. He said it was clearly stated and it was my responsibility to have read it. The conversation was less than polite, on both parts, agreed. In the end it was my understanding that return information would be sent to me along with a cancellation letter< although I had also agreed to call back for the return information. I was, however never explained to me that if I did not call back my subscription would be reactivated and I would be paying $87.47 for the bottle I received. I received a letter stating that I had indeed cancelled and that no further or current charges would be made, but no return information like I had expected. Since that conversation I have been charged the $87.47 for the bottle I received and enrolled in the program, to which no refunds will be made. Today I called to ask about the charge and received pretty much the same runaround, however my subscription has AGAIN been cancelled and I will not be charged from this point out. No refund was ever made to me however for the trial bottle. I do have the return policy copied from the site, in case they decide to change it. It is available at your request since I see I have no place to attach it.Desired Settlement: I have no problem mailing back the unopened bottle of the product. I do, however, expect a full refund for the amount I was billed, $87.47. And further confirmation that I will no longer be charged for their products in the future.
