First Data charged off an account that should have been closed
I have already contacted First Data about this issue, but was very dissatisfied with their response, so I am writing another complaintFirst Data response stated that I was still liable for the "lease" amount, and had no record of me sending back their equipmentHowever, once I sent back the equipment, First Data stopped my automatic payments that I had set up, and did not notify me that there was a balance dueI would like to strongly point out the fact again that I did not stop the automatic payments, First Data was the one that stopped the payments after they received the equipment back that they are now saying they never receivedSince First Data ended the automatic payments on THEIR end, again it was not my doing, and I did not hear from them about missed payments after the equipment was returned, how was I suppose to know there was still a balance due? In I first signed my small business, *** for *** on with First Data for credit card equipment and transactionsI was banking with Wells Fargo and they connected us saying that this was the quickest way to have money earned deposited into the business accountAnd the nightmare beganThey deposit money when they want to, and because they are in bed with *** *** they can pirate any income batched out from being deposited into your bank account if fees are due to themThat may seem reasonable, but not when you owe them $and they hold $300-$of your daily depositsYou call stating that they have their money so when will the rest be released, returned to bank and depositedAnswer: When they decide tooYou see,they will tell you that they can decide to keep large amounts as a security deposit towards any other fees which they issueMany of these fees are created in your bank account (NSF)because they are withholding your moneyHow can

The last visa accepted was in May of First data continued to extract fees from my account on a monthly basis with a minimum of and a maximum of in January of I have tried to close the account for months, the customer service rep telling me I would not get a refund of the contested fees if I did and to wait for the procedural process to take place; month after month I have not received a statement from them since May of and in the calls they would always say they were helping me but that I was on some "other Platform" and they couldn't access the account I have been bounced from location to location (they say) spent literally hours on the phone trying to get this resolved
Terrible, terrible, terrible is all I can sayThey add unauthorized and optional fees to your account without your permission"For example, this month they added a $monthly fee for their new service they call "insightics" without our permissionWhen we called and questioned it, they refused to cancel the service and asserted we had approved the fee when we didn't respond to their mail in offer to add it(that we never received)How absurd is that? Then they refused to cancel the service saying we needed to speak with someone else who wasn't in - "please call back"
So in summary, they added an optional service to our account without permission, refused to cancel it, and didn't even provide login information so we couldn't use it if we wanted too, which we don't
The employee we spoke with also refused to identify herself more than saying her name was LindaWe asked for her employee number and she said she didn't have oneNo doubt there is more than one "Linda" working there

A customer then had a chargeback for $1,061.08, during this seasonal hold period, despite this money never arriving in our bank accountEssentially, this money was magically subtracted even though we never received it
In summary, First Data has been collecting monthly fees of approximately $and processing transaction
I have used this company for roughly years for credit card processingI stopped using them in September and closed the account in September
I have called to cancel 2-times and they refunded me $once and told me it was canceled

While I accept that I'm responsible for what I sign, I think the company is preying on small businesses because they don't discuss with you the length of the agreement at all; I think any small business is lucky to stay in existence after one year, making this month agreement completely unsuitable
