I filed a claim w/Windhaven Insurance for accident that happened 5/25. I have yet to have my claim resolved.
I filed a claim w/Windhaven Insurance after a total loss accident that occurred 5/25. I was given an adjuster who was working on the claim by the name ***. Initially they were to have someone go and look at the car by the name of ***, he went to try to locate vehicle but was sent to another lot. After almost 1.5 months of going around in circles w/insurance company they finally were supposed to have the "numbers" together and give me information as to how much the insurance would cover, this was on 7-3-19 and per adjuster would have it completed by 7/5/19. I did not receive a call back 7/5, I called left VM no call back still. Needless to say the adjuster I had was no longer working w/the company (they did not tell me about her leaving my claim). Company told me my claim would be picked up by *** manager by the name of* on 7/11/19 and I would receive call by the end of day 6 pm. I did not receive call that day(and have yet to receive call). I have been calling pretty much every business day and leaving VM on New adjuster*** extension, have not received a call back. I believe I may be getting the run around as my claim has not been handled and processed during this almost 2 months.
I would like my adjuster to call back as promised, my claim to be processed and the car to be paid to State Farm Bank as promised.

The accident was caused by the Windhaven Customer and admitted to it and Also received the ticket for it.
I sent my car to an approved WindHaven Bodyshop
(South motors collision) and the body shop advised that the only way to fix the accident is to replace both doors that were involved in the accident.
I am without my car and paying a rental out of pocket.
This company seems like a scam please avoid at all cost

Insurance company providing incorrect compensation for repairs as well as rental car when their driver is at fault.
They gave an estimate of damages based on pictures from the auto dealerships estimate that came to a total of 2600 dollars. No one came out to look at the car. Pictures clearly show damage to my trailer hitch caused from their driver rear ending me as well as my door lift, when they submitted their offer it came to a total of 1084 and they left off noticeable damage caused in the accident by their driver clearly pictured and noted on the body shops estimate! They never sent an adjustor to look at my car, they assumed since I didn't not call a lawyer or file for any medical claims they could take advantage and low ball my repairs. The body shop as well as my own insurance company warned me about this company, they are slow to pay and often unfair with their claims. The accident occurred on 6/9/2019. I called my insurance company the day after it happened and never got a call from this at fault company until my insurance called back and asked if they had reached out yet and provided me with the details of the claim so I could finally call them. Even after I called and submitted the estimate this company waited 2 weeks to come back with only an offer covering less then half of my damages. Also they said I had to pay upfront for a rental vehicle and be reimbursed at their rate. I'm sure this is done as they know people often have trouble affording a rental and therefore they only have to what is invoices rather then covering the cost upfront as most companies usually do.
I would like the insurance company to pay for all of the legitimate repairs noted on the estimate from the body shop, even if this means sending their own adjuster out IN PERSON as it should be done to review my vehicle. Also to pay for a rental vehicle up front as this is my only means of transportation.

The fact this company lets their adjusters write up settlements from photos is a complete fraud to under pay out claims. I shouldn't have to apply for a supplemental payout, they should by law be forced to payout for all my damages caused but their "insured" driver regardless if I get them fixed as MY property was damaged and their driver was "covered" as well as be responsible for the cost of a rental car paid in full so hard working people WHO PAY THEIR INSURANCE ***'t have to figure it out and stress about this awful company paying them back in a timely manner so they can afford the rest of their bills which is clear they ***'t from all the complaints on this site. The fact this insurance company has not been closed down is a joke!

Company provided misleading information, failed to provide proper information to their client and refused to transfer to Director of Compliant
I got a policy w Wind-haven on 6/14/19, I canceled the policy on 6/15/19 provided Dec pages of new policy and confirmed everything was canceled. I was informed I was going to receive back my down payment in 15 days. On 6/18/19 I called to confirm everything had been canceled and I was informed that it was. Friday 6/28/19 I received a letter stating that my policy that was supposed to be canceled since the 15th was going to be canceled due to none payment. I called the company and I was advised my new Insurance Company had the wrong Vin number and they failed to informed me that 6/15 & 6/18 when I called. On top of everything I requested my money to be returned to the same card they charge the money from. Here we are 5 days later the money still not in my card and I was just informed a partial refund check was mailed out on 7/2 w/o advising or informing me. I called the company today and a supervisor refused to transfer me to the Director of Compliant Jeff Cohen.
This company should go out of business because they are failing to provide information to their client's, they mislead clients, they also stop clients from talking to director of compliance and do things without letting costumer know firs. Unprofessional, not easy to get a hold of and the costumer service representatives are rude.

I do not accept this response because they are not providing proof or bringing up the fact that I had to make endless calls confirmations and I was miss informed as their recorded calls can state. Everything is recorded. They misled me withheld information and are now lying about it. Please see attached Notice of intent to cancelation due to non payment by the company dated 6/22/19 if my policy was canceles as of 6/15 like wind-haven states why is this letter from them contradicting this information.

Please note that Ms. requested to have her policy cancelled within the first 60 days of the term and that the duplicate coverage proof was received on 7/1/19 after we had generated the first installment bill on 6/22/19 with a due date of 7/4/19 and a cancellation date of 8/14/19
As we indicated in our letter dated 7/5/19, Ms. policy was cancelled retroactive to 6/15/19 as indicated on the cancellation request and the refund was sent by mail.

Please note I canceled my policy 6/15/2018 and I got it 6/14/19 on 6/15/19 all documents for cancelation were provided to windhaven. On 6/18/19 I had called to make sure it was canceled. Lastly when I called your underwriting department and wind haven had informed me that my policy was still active that someone from wind-haven must have dropped the ball. Per your recorded calls with me that im sure your company still has even on 7/2/19 they were telling me that my policy was active so how come are you going to try to make me look like a liar your company miss-informed me misled me withheld information on top of everything I had requested the refund back to my card because it was 7/6/19 and I still had not received my refund that I was supposed to get in 15 days and everyone told me that they had requested my refund on my card your company mailed the check and never informed me why wasn't the money coming back to my card or that I was going to be getting a check instead. Filed an auto claim a month ago. Windhaven has not made any attempt to inspect damage to my vehicle to begin repairs.
Hit by car insured by Windhaven and filed claim with Windhaven on June 6,2019.
It is now July 1 and no one from Windhaven has contacted me to inspect the car to begin claim to repair my car.
The adjuster finally returned a call last week and said someone had called several times and left messages to arrange to inspect the car.
He called me a liar when I said no one had called and no messages had been left. If they had, I would have returned the call, scheduled an inspection and there would not be an issue.
Immediately pay the funds necessary to repair my car to my satisfaction.

This *** ultimately end up in litigation.
The payment made to me is not acceptable or accepted. The real cost to fix this car properly is probably in the $8,000 to $10,000 range based upon verbal estimates from three well regarded body shops. I cannot find anyone that *** even begin to work on the car with an estimate so low from Windhaven.
I am meeting with several different attorneys and *** pick one next week.
This is a unique car, a 30 year old Alfa Romeo, not a Honda Civic, one owner prior to me, all original, never wrecked, never repainted, etc.
There *** be significant Diminished Value attached to this claim.
It is unfortunate Windhaven took such a hostile attitude to me right out of the gate.

Since I am paying for the rental car, until reimbursed by Windhaven, I do not want any delays waiting on supplemental checks from Windhaven running up my *** for the rental car.

My windshield was hit by a rock of this company's client, who had rock in their open truckbed, uncovered. They won't return my calls about my claim.
This company's client was traveling down a 75 mph highway in a truck after dumping rock, and there was a lot of rock left in the bottom of their open truck bed, left uncovered. Every bounce in the highway rocks popped up and out, and one busted my windshield. I want it replaced sooner than later and took pics of all the rock sitting open in their truckbed, emailed pictures to the adjuster same day (twice that day because the crack continued to spread during the day) and obtained insurance information from their driver, who was apologetic. I have emailed and called leaving messages asking for someone to call me back about my claim, and have gotten zero response. Very unprofessional and frustrating.
My windshield needs replaced and I need a response from the adjuster on my claim and where I can take my car to have the windshield replaced.

The current adjuster was able to get a copy of the rental invoice and was able to issue the reimbursement check late yesterday, 6/25. That payment *** be sent out today, 6/26. We were involved in an accident with their policy holder. They said they were unable to communicate with their insured and dropped the claim.
We were involved in an accident with Windhaven's policyholder on March 29, 2019. Their client sideswiped us and ran us off the road with damage to the right front of our vehicle. There was also a police report. We filed a claim to Windhaven. They told us they could not follow through with the claim because they were unable to communicate with their policyholder. We then received a letter saying the claim was dropped because they were unable to process it.
We would like the claim filed and expenses paid to repair our vehicle.

To me, it seems it would be the responsibility of the insurance company to pay the claim, whether or not they're able to contact the insured. We do not accept their proposed resolution. Would it be helpful to obtain a copy of the police report? By the damage to the vehicles and the position of the cars after the accident it was evident that Windhaven's insured was at fault. By not responding to your attempts to contact him, he is admitting fault in the accident.

I was rear-ended by a Windhaven customer back in 02/27/2019. I still have not heard back from Windhaven.
The accident occurred on 02/27/2019 a claim was reported to Windhaven on 03/01/2019. I submitted photos and a copy of the police report via email to them. A few days later I called because I still had not heard back. I gave my recorded statement sometime in the middle of March of 2019. It is now 06/12/19 and I still have not heard back from Windhaven. My vehicle was damaged due to this accident and all I am asking is for Windhaven to do is pay for the damages my vehicle had. I even had my Allstate agent try to help me out with this, they have reached out to them multiple times with no resolution only excuses. The last thing Mr. said was that they did not have a police report. Well, I provided them a copy of that back on 03/01/2019. They are wanting the official report which from my understanding Windhaven should have ordered that. Simply they have not done their job and I feel like they just want to sweep this under the rug. I have been very patient, but too much time has went and Windhaven has not ONCE contacted ME. It has been me trying to make contact with them at all times.

After completing complaint with Revdex.com I received a call from agent from Wydhaven stating that my case was transferred to her due to previous agent no longer being employed with Wydnhaven. The agent stated that they have been trying to get a hold of their policy holder but have been unsuccessful. The new agent said that she will request a policy report. The new agent gave me her direct number and her email address. I emailed the agent last Thursday/Friday and no response back. I called and left the agent a voice mail yesterday and no call back. I was given the supervisors number prior to me completing complaint with Revdex.com and never was contacted. The accident happened over a month and my car has not been repaired. I could have gotten a police report online and had access to it within minutes. It's obvious their policy holder is at fault. This is the most unprofessional insurance company I've experienced. I need my car fixed!!

This claim went to Arbitration and Arbitration found Windhaven 100% liable for the loss that took place on 11-27-17. A decision was reached on 10-9-2018 which is final and binding. We were awarded $4,091.09.
A final letter was sent to *** on 05/2/19 on behalf of Arbitration Forums enforcing Windhaven to pay the award per Rule 5-2.

While an arbitration award was granted by Arbitration Forums, The policy referenced is administered by Windhaven Insurance but was written by Old American County Mutual. Old American County Mutual is non-signatory to Arbitration Forums and as such, this matter is outside of Arbitration Forums jurisdiction. The declarations page has also been provided to the complainant confirming the policy is an Old American County Mutual Policy.

I have been going back and fourth with this insurance for a refund that is due to from October 2018. I purchased a new car and switched ins companies
Good friend of ours that work at insurance agency submitted all forms to Windhaven stating we cancelled . they provided all documentation that they requested emailed and faxed . I have been emailing and calling this company since October for my refund . I again emailed them documention over and over and nothing till this day has been resolved . I have phone records we have contacted them spoke to several managers and stated once they received the insurance that we purchased a refund would be issued . till the day nothing. this is the far worst insurance company in florida. My refund is due and its not right that they are keeping money that does not belong to them. All proper paperwork has been sent as proof we purchased a new policy for the cars I have.
I don't know what else I can do to get the resolved .All evidence and proof has been sent to this company.

As such, Windhaven's initial payment that was made to the complainant covered all the damages related to the loss and no further payments will be issued at this time. Ms., the named insured, purchased a policy with us effective 12/01/18-06/01/19. She elected to be on auto-pay so her renewal was set to auto-draft and renew on 06/01/19. It is the insured and or their agent's responsibility to inform us if they are choosing not to renew with us to prevent their automatic payment for their renewal. On 06/01/19 at 12:26pm the agent provided us with proof of duplicate coverage but by that time we had already drafted and renewed her policy as we were required to per the signed application. We immediately processed the cancellation per the insured's request and the full amount was refunded back to the insured's credit card.

The police verified the 2005 mdx I have gave the injuster Orlando police department phone number I have reach out to the driver listed on the driver exchange contacts! They are not responding after I told them who I was and why I was calling.Its clear they are not trying too take any responsibility for this claim. Your company has a lot complaints of the people y'all insure not being compliant when they are in an accident. All I get is we can't pay out unless we speak with insured and use telling me to go use my own policy I'm providing pictures text messages from driver speaking with police department contacting my insurance 4 weeks later still not any improvement.

The amount of stress this has called is unrealistic still haven't heard any updates just excuses.
In follow up to the inquiry regarding the accident from May 25, 2019, we still have not been able to get our policyholder to cooperate in the investigation to confirm permissive use and the facts of the accident. If the policyholder has not responded by Monday, July 8, 2019, we will be submitting a coverage denial. Our apologies for the delay this lack of cooperation has caused.

The Vehicle was in an accident on Saturday 18th, June, 2019, as required the accident was reported to Windhaven, the Police Report was completed by the 19th June, 2019 yet as at today's date (Saturday June 1, 2019) no Adjuster has visited East Coast Collusion & Restoration, Hollywood Florida to examine the damages to the vehicle.
This is poor customer service and speaks to the inefficiency of Windhaven operations which said ineffiency is documented by the Revdex.com.
Clients should not be incovenienced because of internal control time management issues.
No rental was given.

11/11/2018 I was in an accident with a Windhaven policy holder Damage $10K+ to my 2013 F150 Today is 05/28/2019 My vehicle still has not been repaired
The policy holder was at fault and Windhaven refuses to make me legally whole.
Windhaven sent out an adjuster that performed a half *** job and did not list all the damage caused by the accident after being directed to several issues.
Upon my arrival to retrieve my vehicle that I was told was fixed I noticed several issues that I made Brandon Whitaker aware of, even after talking with his supervisor and reaching what I thought was an agreement to finish the repairs Windhaven has refused to honor the agreement.
I want my 2013 F150 that was damaged in the accident to be returned to me in the condition it was in prior to the accident.

The complainant's vehicle was inspected and payment for the damages caused by our insured was issued to the complainant's shop of choice. This process was as fruitless as the six months I spent chasing Windhaven to do the right thing.
They gave an estimate of damages based on pictures we submitted. No one came out to look at the car. Can not see damage to undercarriage of car
They never sent an adjustor to look at our car, so we got an estimate ourselves. They accident occurred on 5/8/19. We never got a call from the adjustor until we made multiple calls and left messages. Finally the insurance company requested that we send pictures. We did that the same day. Then we didn't hear from the insurance company until 5/24 after repeated phone calls to the insurance company. When we finally got a hold of the insurance company they said they did the estimate. Based on their estimate $1201.93. We submitted our car through a local company and their estimate was twice as much. I sent them a copy of the estimate we got from the insurance company and they said that this company was lowballing our estimate. They are basically giving us a bare bones estimate. Also they said we had to pay upfront for a rental vehicle and be reimbursed at their rate. They also approved only about 3 days for the car. Where I got our estimate they said it would be 8 days minimum. When my husband got this information today he called Windhaven Insurance and left multiple messages with no return call. Our estimate was from a local body shop by the name of *** Collision Center. Their estimate took into consideration damage to the undercarriage of the car, you can not see this based on pictures. Due to the issues with this insurance company we filed through our insurance company and they said they would work with us on our deductible and also provide us with a rental starting out at 8 days. When I explained what this other insurance company was doing they could not believe it. The first question they asked me was did an adjustor come out and inspect the car. We said no that they are basing their estimate on the pictures we sent.
We would like the insurance company to pay for all of the legitimate repairs that the collision center submitted to them with no out of pocket cost for us. Also to pay for a rental vehicle as this is our only means of transportation.
Thank you for allowing us to address this concern. Both the adjuster and the supervisor has contacted the complainant to explain the initial estimate and the supplement process. We have issued the initial payment and will work the the complainant's body shop to produce a final appraisal that will cover all of the damage done in this accident. We were also able to make an exception and prepay some of the rental necessary to get the complainant started on the repairs. I trust this addresses your inquiry.
