has been contacted by one of our corporate representative and discussed about the issue of her computerOur customer has provided a onetime repair even though her unit is already out of warranty, the customer’s unit will send out to our repair facility (Tri-Star) to diagnose and check the issueAt this time we consider this matter closed

A TAIS representative has been in contact with our customerTAIS has offered to expedite our customers repair as well as pay for the shipping and packging of the productUnfortunately, our customer has declined this offer, and has advised that she will only send it in if we issue her a loaner
computerTAIS has advised our customer that we do not issue loaner computers, and that the manufacturers warranty does not cover loaner computersAt this time we consider the matter closed

I bought my new satellite laptop from Toshiba and months later the microphone stopped workingThough some may say this is not a big issue, but when someone spends $dollars on a laptop, you'd expect it to workCalled their customer service hotline, they agreed to fix it because we found out that it needed to be sent back but i'd have to pay to send it to themYes people, its still under warranty but I have to pay to send it to them to fix, even though its their faulty product that I have to send it back in the first placeI asked if there were any place near me for me to just drop off, but there wasn'tI sent the laptop after my school semester endedI had three weeks before school started againI got it back a month later and the problem was not fix!!!!!!! Called them again, went through the whole process, they said i'd have to send it back againTold them I cant send it back now because the semester already startedThey said your warranty will expire so they cant waive itSo long story short, I should of listened to everyone else and got an Apple.......biggest mistake going with ToshibaI hope others read this, and do your customer service research on which ever company you plan to buy from

I spoke to a representative today They refused to refund full price for my laptop The representative said I could get "fair market value" When I asked what that meant he couldn't give me a number He said they would send me another computerI do not want another computer but he left me with no choice I believe toshiba is non- responsive and a terrible company Please do not accept their explanation of this outcome

Service Provider (ASP) sent an Onsite technician to our customer's location and the technician was able to diagnosed the TV of our customer and they determined that there's a crack on the right hand side of the screen and with the accordance to the Standard Limited Warranty of the unit, any physical damage whether its accidental it will not be covered under itAt this time we consider this matter closed

A TAIS representative has been in contact with our customer on 02/19/TAIS has informed the customer that shipping and handling is their responsibility per the Standard Limited Warranty in order to receive warranty repairsPer the warranty;
“How to Obtain Repair for a Product Purchased in the United States?
You will pay any packaging, shipping charges, insurance, taxes and duties associated with the transportation of the Product to the service center or providerYou are responsible for appropriately packaging the Product.”
TAIS has set up a work order for the customer and we’re currently waiting for the customer to finish the survey, pick the shipping option ($to receive a depot box or customer self-pack/ship), then ship the unit to our repair facilityAt this time we consider this matter closed

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Toshiba did not even read the complaint I have listed here on Revdex.comIn my complain I specifically stated that I tried to reach out to Toshiba when I had issues multiple times when it was still in warranty through toshibas *** site because that is where I bought itDue to Toshibas *** site not getting back with me about this issue it was out of warrantyWhen I call your repair service number it is through a 3rd party company not associated with Toshiba asking me to pay a couple hundred dollars just for them to look at it which is more than I paid for the productSo, first my tablet was having issues due to manufacturing problems and then it became out of warranty to be fixed because Toshiba themselves did not get back to me on fixing itConveniently by the time they did it was no long in warrantyNow I just getting automated responses because Toshiba clearly did not read my original complaintI can assure you I will not buy any Toshiba product again due to its manufacturing and the companies horrible customer service.

The recovery media which Toshiba mailed me failed to load or correct my issue I was sent two media flash drives and neither fixed the issue In addition to that, no one at Toshiba can tell me why my system failed to function properly after updating my system Further more, my laptop freezes after starting up Regardless to what the company says, there is absolutely no reason why I should be experiencing these types of issues when the laptop is not close to being two years oldThis laptop functioned perfectly fine prior to installing updates Needless to say Toshiba's laptop had pre-existing hardware issues and were not caused by me, the user Once again, there is no offer to view my laptop so they can see that there are issues with their hardware

I did not refuse to have my laptop repaired They called me on the phone and told me that the part that they needed to do the repair was not available thru their supplier and couldn't repair my laptop without the part They told me that I might be able to find the part to fix it on EBAY but didn't bother to tell me what part I needed to look for They then ask me if I wanted them to return my computer Well of cpurse I didn't want them to keep it if they couldn't fix it I truly believe they just didn't know how to fix it and took the easy way out I NEVER REFUSED FOR THEM TO FIX MY LAPTOP IN ANY WAY

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I fail to understand why Toshiba refuses to acknowledge the repairs of the motherboard that were in excess of $Upon receiving the computer after repairs, none of the USB ports on the right side workedThis required sending the unit back to the repair facility where the computer is currently locatedI fail to see the professionalism or the customer care a first rate company should exhibit in their daily interactions with customersIt is apparently clear no one at this organization cares enough to stand behind their productI hope all these executives that are drawing big salaries will at some point in their life run into a brick wall in which they get treated the same why they have treated meThere has been no gesture of reconciliation nor any apology offered for this series of technological blunders which only make the company appear inept and cold.
