I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved
I was asked to send me computer to them at no cost, they would send a packaging box and label so I can send it to them. They said they Guarantee it will be fixed, they will put the new operating system on and check the hard drive because my computer actually is covered on the warranty even though a representative that I spoke to on the phone said it wasn't. So now I just wait and see

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, I am not interested in Toshiba's representatives calling me all times of the day and night requesting informationI have provided Revdex.com with the information that is neededWhen I first contacted Toshiba about the problems with the laptop , I asked if their was a local authorized repair store I could bring it toMy son uses this laptop for school, and packing it up and shipping it off for God knows how long is not acceptable, especially when their is a repair shop in town that could diagnose and fix the problem within daysBut according to Toshiba's customer representatives, my laptop does not cost enoughMy child uses this laptop for school and needs the laptop here-- Updated and WorkingHowever, both of these suggestions are not recommended by ToshibaI want a refund if I cannot take the laptop to a local authorized repairmanThank you.

I recently upgraded my Satellite S55t laptop to Windows My laptop is still under warrantyThe Elan touchpad does not work in Windows and Toshiba has not chosen to provide updated drivesInstead they transfer you (after hours on hold) to some tech in the Philippines who tells you that your warranty only covers hardware and that you will need to pay $to fix a problem that Toshiba should have fixed weeks ago before windows was releasedTHIS IS A SCAM!!!

Regards,I have updated all the drivers in the Device Manager and I in fact have the link bookmarked in my browser given by Toshiba in their response. There is no driver for the FN key per se, only the keyboard and the rest of the keyboard works fineThe driver given on the Toshiba Website for the *** PCIE card reader is different from that on the Toshiba siteI have contacted *** Tech Support which has an email address but they do not respond.I cannot use the phone as I am hearing impairedI have *** *** I need email or chat Support to resolve the issues with the laptopToshiba's Support Website is an abomination consisting mainly of user forums which I have studied extensively without successI have tried many fixes on the Internet in general and Toshiba's Website is useless, it has software to download for diagnostic issues dating back to I have spent considerable time with *** Support.As Toshiba considers this matter with the Revdex.com closed, I will file complaints with econsumer.gov, FTC, State of CA AttnyGenand the Justice Deptfor Toshiba's violation of the ADA (American's with Disabilities Act) today

Laptop under year old....called warranty for service since the one hinge is broke ....TOSHIBA said it was my faultafter spending over an hour on the phone NEVER NEVER buy any thing from TOSHIBA

Perhaps the worst customer service I have experienced in years Bought a Laptop from Toshiba Direct with MS Office and accessories Within weeks the laptop had a hard drive failure Toshiba took the unit back and replaced the hard drive When I tried to reinstall the software I bought from Toshiba with the laptop it would not install because the certificate was used on the original Hard Drive Spent hours on the phone with Toshiba only to get passed from office to office Even had on person ask if we hadn't spoken earlier in the day Useless customer service Will not stand behind their product Will not purchase a product again from them

A TAIS representative was in contact with our customer on 02/18/TAIS has apologized for any inconvenience and has informed the customer that shipping and handling is their responsibility per the Standard Limited Warranty in order to receive warranty repairsTAIS has assisted the customer by setting up the work orderIf the customer would like to go to an ASP, that would be their choiceAccording to their warranty however, sending the unit to our depot facility would be the choice for the repair to be covered under the warranty (meaning the repair cost would be covered barring no physical damage). Currently we are waiting for the customer to finish the survey and ship the unit to our repair facilityFor a refund the customer would need to directly contact the reseller where the product was purchased to determine if the product is still within the return policy time frameAt this time we consider this matter closed
