I never renewed my account and did not receive a letter saying the account would be auto renewed. And I haven't received a paper in several months
My account expired several months ago and I did not renew. They autorenewed my account, did not send me a letter stating that and stopped delivering the paper. I just found out they passed *** the account to a Collections Agency as in areers.
Stop the collection agency. Remove the $60 bill. Apologize in person

I have concerns that instead of sending me a bill (if they thought I had one to pay) they immediately escalated the issue by contacting a collections agency. But according to their response they resolved the issue.

I am paid up for a year, I should get the Sunday newspaper every Sunday, I am lucky if I get 2 newspapers a month, customer service is no help

Charlotte Observer Distribution Center WILL NOT STOP delivering free newspaper inserts
I have contacted Charlotte Observer TWICE to remove our home from free distribution services. I was told that someone from distribution would CALL. Furthermore, I asked for the NAME of the distribution center and Charlotte Observer said they didn't know.
REALLY? How can Charlotte Observer NOT KNOW a name of a company they are working with.
Furthermore, if someone OPTS OUT for something, by LAW it must be done. It's like email. If I opt-out of email by LAW I need to be removed. Charlotte Observer is SPAMMING me with paper.

Harassment and Issues When Not Renewing Subscription To The Paper
When the end of my subscripting came up I decided not to renew (6/30/2019). I received multiple letters wanting me to renew the paper, these I expected. However about a month after I started to get the letters I started to get phone calls wanting me to renew. I told them I didn't want to the paper due to a change in jobs and not knowing if I would be home to get the paper. I received another two or three calls from the same number, which I ignored, then started to get calls from another number that the paper has. I told this number the same thing and did the same after the first phone call. I went through this on three other numbers that the paper has. On the last call I received today (9/18/2019) from another different number I was told that I owed money to the paper as I did not call into the paper to cancel the paper. I explained to them that I was not told I had to call into cancel my subscription even though I didn't renew it. I also explained to them that about two years prior I did the same thing by not renewing and didn't get a call stating I had to call in to cancel to avoid getting charged fees. I also told them that I have not renewed subscriptions with other things and have not had to call in to cancel/tell them I wasn't renewing to avoid fees.
I would like all charges removed from my account as I was not aware of the way they want people to cancel their subscription and that I had previous not renewed my subscription with this same company without calling in while not getting charged any fees. Also I would like them to make it clearer when people sign up/subscribe to the paper that they must call in the cancel the subscription even if the don't renew and that the letters they send out for renewal should clearly stated that if you don't renew you still must call in the cancel your subscription. Currently the non renewal procedure is very unclear and this should help clear up any confusion.

Despite numerous attempts to stop delivery of unwanted garbage circulars I'm still cleaning this rubiah from my driveway weekly. Stop delivery!
Every Tuesday morning this *** is in my drive.
I want opting out to be honored. I want all deliveries to cease.
The distribution company, who handles delivery has been contacted to resolve this stop request immediately.
Continued delivery of paper that I have asked repeatedly to stop
The Charlotte Observer is delivering a Carolina Food paper along with adds to my home. Specifically, dropped in my driveway. I am not a customer. I have contacted the Observer call center to request the delivery to be stopped. Each time the representative informs me the delivery is going to be stopped once they send a note to the circulation desk. I have been told several time that someone would follow up with me, there have been no follow up calls returned to me. I called the Observer help desk on the following dates: 7/30, 8/15, 8/21, 9/4 and again on 9/11.
The customer support for this issue is not working as I continue to receive the unwanted product from the Charlotte Observer. There does not appear to be any department or number who I can continue to resolve this issue.
I am seeking for the Charlotte Observer to cease the delivery of this paper to my home.
The distribution company has been contacted to stop the delivery immediately.

Three of my calls were to Justin Moore in the advertising department, he assured me that this was his area to handle and he would get this terrible practice stopped but it continues.
In general they have no concern that their delivery people throw these adds in unoccupied homes, homes where several of the old papers are still laying in the gutter because no-one picks them up. Generally trashing our neighbor hood.
At very least they should honor my request to stop throwing this at my house.
Put them in the mail. Don't throw these adds in the gutter or at people's yards who do not want them

Have cancelled this account twice, submitted payment, they still deliver paper and bill us, went to collection agency. Won' stop
*** problems with delivery started in October 2018. Complained several times about non delivery. Cancelled paper, Charlotte Observer kept calling and said they would correct mistakes and to please renew and give discount. Renewed, PAID bill, still started with delivery problems. Cancelled again, they said they did not show copy of our payment, I sent them copy of bank draft and never got a response from them.
Charlotte Observer KEPT delivering paper, told them over phone and by email to cancel. They said we owed a different amount and sent the bill to a collection agency. WE DO NOT OWE THIS BILL and the Observer continues to put a newspaper in our mailbox. We are senior citizens, have great credit, have take the newspaper for over forty years. Now, we have a complaint against us with a collection agency on a bill we do not owe and cannot get a email response from the observer when we question what is going on.
We want this bill from the Observer cancelled and a correction made with the collection agency. We also want them to STOP DELIVERING THE PAPER. We do not owe this bill!
