Did a good job reformatting internal format to readable and post able format for outside world. Made good suggestions to improve impact and reduce impacts related to age. Responded promptly to questions and requests during update period.

I work in biomedical field. I purchased the professional resume package ($350) that included resume, coverletter, and ***. The TopResume consultant assigned to me completely lacked any experience and knowledge of my field making the language used awkward and inaccurate. In addition, she lacked attention to details- the document was full of inconsistencies and grammatical errors. She didn't even know how a publication reference should be written.
I have included my comments and questions in the documents which she have ignored to respond. The only contribution she made was creating a format. All content was written by myself. Similar experience with the cover letter. I asked for refund and she ignored me. I have sent multiple email to *** and have not received any response. I have also tried to call them and they simply don't pick up.

I contacted Top Resume at the beginning of November 2017 to rewrite my resume. As of today, 1/*/2018 I have not received a useable draft. Attempts to contact support to resolve this issue either by phone or e-mail have been futile.

I have repeatedly asked for a call from someone at Topresume. I received one call on 12//2017 which I promptly returned. The number given was to the call center (which no one ever answers). Melissa M. provided me with an excellent resume that I could present to a number of different audiences. I highly recommend TopResume and their services. Their resumes stand out from the average resume. It's definitely a good value for the money.

They do not deliver what they promise. Customer service is TERRIBLE. They do not respond to emails. your writers DO NOT communicate with you at all. and the company as a whole will ignore every single complaint you make. They really did not revamp my resume they just took what I already had on the page and basically changed the format. They also fabricate information on the cover letter. Mines said with over 10 years of experience as a manager (I AM ONLY 24!!!). Overall I feel this business is a scam, they dont tell you anything about your writer at all and your writer doesn't even have an independent email. It is all very suspicious.

On 11//17, I purchased a professional to rewrite my resume. Four days later, a person named Chris emails me letting me know that he will take a look at my information and keep in touch. He came back a day later with the resume that didn't have my military background and a few weak statements. (My current resume is presented as if I'm a 'doer' and not an 'achiever') another day went past and the same resume was presented to me only this time Chris wasn't happy with my same comments. He said he would request a new writer and I have not heard from anyone.
The company has taken my money and provided me with nothing.

TopResume is worth the price! I was thrilled to see an actual employee improved my resume rather than an automated computer system. After understanding my career goals, they transformed my college level resume and really exemplified my strengths!

They did a much better job than I did on my own. I have yet to see results, but I am optimistic.

The writer assigned to me at TopResume was extremely professional. I had never hired someone to do my resume or cover letter for me in the past and it made all the difference in the world. It was money well spent and has elicited a much higher response rate. Even when you are a good writer or marketing savvy, it still is a smart move to invest in someone who sees things from a 3rd party perspective.

I contacted Top Resume to get my outdated resume redone in order to apply to a competitive and sought after internship at my university. Since I am a student, I used $219 that was saved from my birthday to try to get this resume written, even though it was going to be a financial burden. I had a previous employee recommend their services and was shocked to see how unprofessional and inattentive to detail the writer I was assigned to was. After the initial payment was made online, I spend two hours filling out in great detail what I was looking for, job descriptions from my previous employment, and my current educational accomplishments, as well as a mock resume and cover letter for the writers usage. I explained that I am transitioning from a business background to that in a hospital after pursuing a new degree and therefore need my resume to reflect my strengths in a way that is beneficial to working in health care. I have an extremely strong educational background related to health sciences that could be used for just this.

The writer never contacted me in response to my first draft of my resume being completed-the email was sent to the wrong email and bounced back, yet no one contacted me to let me know. My correct phone number and email was given on both my mock cover letter and resume, yet no attempt was even made on their part. I was able to go through my search history and refresh a page that brought up my order (there was no login for an account). The page stated that a first draft had been made.

I then went ahead to look at the resume, first noting spelling and grammar mistakes, and then noting the format and content of both the resume and cover letter. The job descriptions that were on both documents were not accurate to what I stated and one job even looked like an entirely different occupation. All of my awards and accomplishments involved with my school had been removed and there was nothing even mentioned about how my work could be beneficial in a hospital setting. The cover letter even explained why I would be a strong candidate in a business and office setting, which completely disregarded and went against everything I wrote to them about.

As an attempt of working with this writer, I contacted their customer service, which at first I was blamed for the unprofessionalism of the writer, and was told that I should give more information and keep working with her after I asked to be matched with a new writer (and was told no). I reached out to her and she responded back once with a generic and non personal email and then didn't respond to me again, even after I sent more information to her. After my third or fourth call to customer service and jumping through hoops, I spoke with an individual in customer service who attempted to help me. They offered me a new writer, but the date of when the first draft was going to be available was after the date I needed the resume by to apply to my internship. Not to mention, I offered to give more information about my schooling and they told me to let the writer start the first draft and then any other information needed they will contact me, which means that the turn around time was going to be even longer.

I ended up having to write the resume and cover letter myself and did not get any type of service from the business. I contacted them saying I wanted a refund since no service was provided and they said they don't normally do that. I was promised a phone call on two separate days by the end of business days that I didn't get and finally received a call back with a resolution after a third day. The woman in customer service stated to me that she was going back and forth with her manager and that she was able to get them to offer my 75% of a refund which she talked up from them offering an original 30%. She explained that they needed the 25% to pay the writer for the service she provided even though it was apparent she dropped the ball and didn't respond back and the work wasn't to a professional quality. She explained that because she took the time to write "something" that I cant get a full refund. My response to that was it didn't even take into account what I needed or what I said and that I did majority of the work even though I was paying them to write my resume and the service I paid for wasn't provided, so that was unacceptable. Since the payment is due upfront before any work is done or a writer is determined, that was completely out of my hands.

So long story short, she was explaining to me that her manager felt as because of of their employees "attempted" doing something I don't get a full refund. If I pay a professional to do something, I expect it to be from a competent and professional employee who is aware of their job, not just anyone who is willing to respond and disregard the customers information and even fail to contact them.

Even though I did my due diligence and continually attempted to work with them, they did not do the same. As a result, I expect full restitution for this transaction and I am hoping that you may be able to help me in doing this.

I paid for the resume & and cover letter re-write. After their very comprehensive review of my resume, I decided they may be worth a shot. By the way they have a zero refund policy, so once its gone its gone. In their questionnaire they ask you to provide links of jobs that you are applying for - my writer didn't even look at those links until I asked her to. I explained that I was trying to make a career change and she kept highlighting the wrong industry and skills. The cover letter was boring, drab and too long. Also it has all the phrases you could google - nothing to make your accomplishments stand out - so BORING! I didn't get the second re-write because the process timed out while I was trying to figure out how to communicate to the writer that she was going the wrong direction AGAIN. I had more interest off my old resume. My interviews have come from personal connections. Their claim of getting you through the computer sorting system it just doesn't work or I had their worst writer.

Our system automatically closes orders after a specific end date for the revision period. This might have prematurely cut off communications between you and the writer, however we are happy to extend the revision period if the situation calls for it.

The first draft submitted to me was just like many of the other complaints- the first writer assigned to me, Julie was in no way familiar in my field. On top of not making any sense to my background, the layout was horrible- it was really long and wordy. I emailed back saying how disappointed I was and that I wanted a refund. Next thing, my resume was reassigned to another writer named *** who is supposedly a "Certified Professional Resume Writer" and a senior member of the team with "several years of experience writing for professionals in my industry." When I received my draft from her, two of my job titles were incorrect!!! I had a title as an "Art Manager" when I'm an "Account Manager"! The other job title was copied and pasted from a previous one and wasn't updated! Not sure how a "professional resume writer" can overlook these very important details. There was no attention to detail and obvious lack of care and effort on my 2nd draft. The responsibilities listed were better than my first draft only because they were taken from my original resume! I had high expectations for this service, but it was just a complete disappointment! I'm waiting to hear back from my last draft, but they really need to do the right thing and provide a refund.

Perhaps the writer mistakenly thought "Art Manager" is a better title, or maybe it was a typo, but either way I agree it should be "Account Manager" and what the writer did was wrong. But like all writing projects, there are bound to be a few mistakes, hence we have a revision period for both the writer and customer to fix any errors or change anything they deem fit. I see that this is only the first draft from ***, I'm confident she will fix all errors by the end of the revision period and provide you with a strong resume.

The resume he is referring to is the second draft that a new writer had to do because my first draft was also horrible. It was seriously a joke that the
first writer just filled my resume with a bunch of big words and made it look like I was in sales, when I’m in apparel product development/ production.
They did not gear my resume towards the links I provided for the types of jobs I wanted at all. The first draft was so bad that another writer had to
step in. I don’t think Gary reviewed my order carefully because he only talked about the second draft- can he explain the lack of care and direction
in that first draft as well? I am owed a refund due to the lack of detail and seriousness taken with BOTH drafts. I had high hopes for this
service and felt defeated again after the 2nd draft had my job titles incorrectly. TopResume needs to pay attention to their customers needs and how
this is time sensitive - it was very obvious they didn’t on both resumes. It was disrespectful for them to get my job titles incorrect. They are a resume
service- how could they get that wrong? This was all a waste of time.

The process was very easy with e-mail communications. However, after two weeks of having my resume posted on various job boards, I have not received any calls or e-mails for interviews. This is very disappointing, since I spent my hard earned money for this resume service.
