I purchased a package from TopResume which included a resume rewrite, cover letter, and LinkedIn update. The first writer that I worked with provided unsatisfactory products that were riddled with misspelled words, punctuation errors, grammatical mistakes, and even cut off sentences. TopResume asked that I work with another writer, assuring that I would not encounter the same issues again, which unfortunately was not the case. After working with the second writer and encountering the same issues, I asked TopResume for a refund as these products were sub-par, and would likely hinder my chances at potential employment, to which they suggested that I continue to work with them. I denied their request at another chance, and they refuse to refund my payments. I have no confidence that this company is capable of providing me with satisfactory products in line with what I have paid.

I can honestly say this has been 1 of the best decisions I have ever made. I was a little skeptic at first but then decided that it would pay for itself if I was to land the perfect career I have been wanting so badly. In just a matter of 2 weeks my resume has been viewed multiple times with response's. If on the fence about it let me say this, DO IT!! Super Satisfied !!

I was highly impressed with the services I received from Top Resume. Since replacing it with my former resume, the response has been mind blowing. Call backs for either telephonic or face-to-face interviews has surpassed anything I may have expected. Hats off to you guys, and thanks again.

This resume service took 7 days to complete. I sent in my up to date resume, along with supporting documentation and I got back a newly formatted and totally wordsmithed new resume that I was 100% satisfied with. With just a couple of minor touch ups of information from me, my resume was complete. Worth the amount that I paid for the service.

I worked with Kyla from TopResume. The difference between original resume and what she prepared for me was drastic - in the BEST way. I opted for the phone consultation, as well as the LinkedIn profile review and update. Again, Kyla did an incredible job. Ever since graduating from University in June of 2016 I have had trouble finding jobs to start a life-long career. I felt that I have been having trouble getting noticed by recruiters and hiring managers because of my Resume and Cover Letter. I wanted to take a moment to give TopResume a positive review after receiving an excellent product and a quality service experience that far exceeded my expectations.
After facing the reality of corporate outsourcing, I was recently put in a situation where I needed to put myself back on the job market, unexpectedly. My job materials were outdated, my LinkedIn was underdeveloped, and I didn't have a cover letter that could easily translate to a variety of openings. I decided to take a chance on TopResume's services after seeing their advertisements on Monster.com. At the time, most of the recruiters I was gaining attention from were using Monster, so I figured that the affiliated resume service could only help me to get more attention and perhaps increase the number of recruiters reviewing my information
When I put my money down for their "Executive Priority" package, I really didn't know what I was going to get. I took a chance and made the investment, and crossed my fingers that I wasn't going to get ripped off and then have to have a fruitless customer service battle.
After receiving the first draft back, I noticed a tremendous difference. I remember that my resume had been completely reformatted and it presented much better, the language was more active, and it showcased me as more of an achiever than a doer. The writer(s) did a great job of pulling out the most marketable skills in my experience, and they did so in a way that I thought was honest/true to my original submission -- they amplified my information without doing so in a way that was overly puffed up or borderline fabrication.
The last few versions of my resume involved fine tuning based on my feedback, and I was very satisfied with the end result. It was worth the money, and I would now feel very comfortable recommending TopResume to a close friend or complete stranger.
My resume is currently being reviewed for a new opening inside my current company, and I am very curious to see how things will pan out. Out of a group of 75 applicants, I have advanced to the next round.
I will also be posting this resume to a variety of job sites here shortly, and I will be eager to see if the attention from the recruiters will increase. Before really distributing my resume around town, I can at least say that I already feel more confident in my information, and I feel good about the investment I made.

I have been dealing with TopResume since the beginning of October and they have failed to keep any of their promises. Besides the fact at the very beginning the system did not allow me to bypass the Recruiter.com part that cost me an extra $50. My fault I should have canceled then. I was happy with them in 2016 but this year they are a complete disaster. They have no experience in anything that they do. They wouldn't even refund my $139 to redirect my resume. They are a fraud.

Also, there was some confusion among the group in regards to your order because it seems like you've made purchases with different credit cards and different e-mails, which caused our team to not be able to locate your order. I want to say that even though they took more than a month to get my re-targeted resume done, the resume writer apologized that she had taken on more of a workload than she should have. She also did a very good job on the initial draft. I was pleased with the result and only had some minor revisions that I asked her to make. She researched my new career thoroughly to complete the task. They ARE NOT A FRAUD! Just overwhelmed.

I will be frank in my explanation to why I am leaving a NEGATIVE review. I chose Top Resume 's most expensive package and expedited that with an additional $50. What I received back was not within the 48 hour turnaround guarantee. What I received was a resume with poor grammar (spelled my current company incorrectly and even countries I have worked in), lack of explanation or knowledge in my career field, multiple fonts and font sizes and no focus to my Managerial and Leadership experience. I asked for a 2 page resume from the 3 page that I turned in and got 3 back. They give a hard line critique on the resume you turn in and will sell you the fear of everything your resume lacks that employers look for. The resume I received was laughable to what my previous one was. No improvement what so ever, if anything it was worse.

From what we can see, you've only mentioned your current resume is too long but you did not specify to shorten it to two pages. While I do agree your first draft should've been two pages, please do understand that like all writing projects, writing a resume is a collaboration effort that requires revisions. We have had no time or option to revise after the first draft because you've rejected it immediately and refused further communication. I ordered 2 different resumes from TopResume - one targeted to a specific industry, the other more general. My writer did a great job with both, and with the all-purpose cover letter to be used with either resume. She also wrote a very nice *** profile for me. She was very responsive to edits and turned things around very quickly. I'm more than satisfied.

O NOT USE! This is a joke of a "service". They lure you in with a critique of a current resume or of your LinkedIn page and offer really helpful suggestions or ideas on how they could help you improve. I'm always one for expert advice and support and when it comes to keeping a resume fresh or a LinkedIn profile sound, I'm all for it, even when not looking for a job.

I paid for their top tier service and what came back was seriously a joke. As an exec level professional working in sales who has built sales teams myself, I have a lot of context and personal experience in this area. What they sent back to me may have passed muster if I'd just graduated college or didn't have a lot of experience, but at my level, it was clear these guys had no idea what they were doing.

They did things like find and replace on words using a thesaurus type swap, but as we all know there are often industry-specific terms and phrases that cannot be swapped out. The result was often nonsensical. They also highlighted things that went counter to the initial feedback and removed the most important elements for my type of position.

Further, they used juvenile phrases like "look no further than this resume!". If I received a cover letter with that as the lead I would throw it out.

Finally, they often seemed to change things just for the sake of having a high red-line count rather than do things that added any value whatsoever.

In the end, the initial feedback was constructive but the result delivered was nowhere close to valuable. In fact, the amount of time I spend trying to get re-writes in and offer my own suggestions meant that I essentially re-wrote my own docs....and paid them for the privilege. What a scam.

On top of all of this, the "customer service" was terrible. No interest in making it better, just interested in defending why it wasn't a poor product citing things like "expert panels" and "biggest in the space".

Buyer beware of this service and avoid at all costs. No matter how good their teaser is.

In an attempt to resolve any dissatisfaction, we've already provided two different writers after the customer mentioned dissatisfaction with the first writer. We've also extended editing windows to accommodate the customer's travels and allowed additional revisions. We've made a total of 5 drafts of resumes and cover letters through out a 5 week long editorial period. A typical customer only receives 2 draft revisions in a 2 week period. Our writers wrote the new resume mainly with terms and sentences that were used in the original resume. We did not make up any words, but we are happy to do an additional edit to add in any terms the customer believes we have removed when it should not be.

By way of example.....imagine a tailor approached you and said "your suit is all wrong. it doesn't fit you right, it conveys the wrong message about you, its bad material....as it happens, I do bespoke suits and incorporate your persona and reason for wearing the suit into my work. It's expensive, but it's worth it."
You appreciate the blunt feedback and realize, maybe he's right! You decide to go for it. You give feedback on what you're all about, that you're an executive and want to project confidence and success. You need to look professional but approachable. You like a tailored look, trim and well fitted. You like the most current styles and want to mimic them. Tailor says, no problem. He measures you and gets to work.
Imagine now that you get back a suit that uses cheap synthetic fabric, is done in a cut completely out of fashion, has one sleeve shorter than the other, and overall is an ill fit for your body.
You would of course be infuriated and would expect that the work be redone.
Now, a 2nd tailor is given the job...a master tailor. He makes you go through the same process again about telling him what you want, measuring you, etc. More time out of your busy day.
If the 2nd tailor did the same level of poor workmanship, how would you react? Would you be satisfied that he tried a few more times? Or would you be livid and expect your money back?
This is exactly what I've experienced. I don't care that 2 people were assigned, that the timeline was extended, and that more revisions were needed. This was all done BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT THE TEAM DID A TERRIBLE JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE. You don't get "brownie points" for trying to correct poor work. And then when in the end, you leave your customer with an unusable product, you don't offer to "try again" because clearly the capabilities of your firm and the expectation of the customer are not aligned. This is the point where you refund money.
So no, I do not accept the offer of taking up even more of my time and trying again on my resume because at this point I don't believe this is a company with the skills required to produce the end result I'd expect. This expectation did not come out of thin air, mind you. It is based on the initial free review done by the sales side of the organization. They articulated what needed improvement and used real examples. This set an expectation of what I'd receive in the end product. This was not delivered, even after the multiple revisions and multiple writers assigned.

I never ask someone to write my CV, but yet as the first experience with Top Resume i'm pleased and I ask myself why I haven't did it before, my resume looks much more better indeed

I had a great experience working with TopResume. The process was simple and straightforward. The resume writer was a pleasure to work with, she resolved all my concerns and was very patient with my requests. In short, they get the job done!

I really enjoyed my experience. I got matched with a writer very quickly and was immediately impressed by the 1st draft. I have not yet had an interview, but I am hoping that will change soon.

2 weeks after having my resume rewritten by Top Resume I have had 5 interviews!! 3 of them were with reputable recruiters. I am very pleased!!!
