On November *** I ordered an executive priority resume, cover letter, and linkedin profile package from the *** website for $229. Despite the website's claim to utilizing professionally written experts that know my industry, this is not the case. I additionally set out a standard set of guidelines for writing the resume and asked if they could not do it, to refund my money right away and not assign a resume writer. My package touts that my resume will be written by an executive writer in the top 10% of their network, formatted for success, keyword optimized, and their website says they will help professionals build professional brands. Quality of service is non-existent and they refuse to work with me to refund my purchase. I started out and received a resume draft on 11/via email. The quality of the resume was unacceptable with formatting, grammatical errors, and misrepresentation of my experience. I called on 11/and spoke to Christine who said she would get my resume reassigned and asked what they could do to do a better job. On 11/*, I received a revised resume and the person who wrote it did not look at my LinkedIn profile nor do any of the steps I requested for writing my resume. My resume is completely unrepresentative of my experience and as a result, there is night and day difference in that there is not even a good starting point. I escalated this via phone call and spoke to Breena on 11/*. She said they don't give refunds and that I need to give the resume writer feedback to improve my resume. Essentially, they want me to write my own resume and then pay them for it and it's borderline unethical and definitely not fair business practice. She said that she cannot give me a refund and all I can do is work with my resume writer. She further explained that Christina whom I spoke to on 11/marked that I didn't give her enough information. This is a go around that needs to stop and this company is not sticking by their end of the bargain. They are essentially copying and pasting my resume in an outdated resume format and throwing in information that doesn't accurately represent my experience and are taking my money. The company materially misrepresents their service and then refuses to refund for lack of resolving this.

Hi ***,

We are sorry for the experience you have had. It is extremely important to provide feedback to your writer and to collaborate to ensure that the final document is to your satisfaction. Yes, you had paid TopResume to revamp your resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile. However, our writers can only assist you based on the current resume and the questionnaire answers you provide. Additional feedback from clients is extremely imperative for the success of every document. When Customer Support reached out to you asking where you felt the resume felt short, you were unable to provide further feedback other than you were just overall not happy with the draft and that it looked sloppy. We offered a reassignment to your order and it seemed as if you were unhappy with that as well and couldn't provide specifics. Due to the digital nature of the service we provide, we work with our clients until the end to ensure that they are satisfied. We would really like to work with you to help you achieve the best outcome possible with your resume. We hope you would reconsider and give us another chance.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

TopResume is not delivering quality. I will give them a chance to take my feedback and complete a finished copy of the resume but let it be known that I am very dissatisfied with the first draft to the point where I don't think we'll get a positive final outcome however, I'll try to trust the process. However, I will give them a chance to do a final copy. Also, I have emailed *** on more than one occasion and do not get replies. An email I sent on 11/didn't get answered until 11/. In ***'s response they stated:
When Customer Support reached out to you asking where you felt the resume felt short, you were unable to provide further feedback other than you were just overall not happy with the draft and that it looked sloppy.
I would comment, a sloppy job will not have attention to details. I have feedback but if their customer support did not have enough details, they could have nicely asked for more and more details and done their due diligence asking the right questions so they could get the desired results.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This company is playing games with me with emails back and forth and now saying they will bump their refund up to 50% but not refund the full purchase price. Then, they say it will take several days to review as I’m assuming they want to put off the Revdex.com complaint. I am thoroughly exhausted, insulted, and disgusted with what is advertised to be superb resume writing and crafting capabilities hidden behind a company that has no care for quality service delivery and customer satisfaction as proven by inability to respond with what would be deemed a reasonable amount of time within a service industry. Also there is no quality whatsoever in what they advertise as their top 10% of writers. If Revdex.com or other authority wants examples of all work that is advertised as top 10%, I will gladly share for prospective review and publication given privacy approvals. Give me a full refund and please stop playing games and scamming with no responses for days upon days.

Hi ***,

Thank you for your response. I see that a member on the Customer Support team has already been in contact with you and that the issue has already been resolved. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact ***.

I purchased the company's Professional Growth resume-writing service and company failed to deliver service as contracted and post-purchase customer service experience was terrible. Upon purchasing service, I was to collaborate with one of company's 'professional' resume writers on two rounds of resume revisions. I only received one resume revision and rewrite that was poorly written, filled with grammatical errors and factual inaccuracies, and demonstrated a total lack of industry knowledge, skills, and competencies for type of position being sought.

When I contacted company to express dissatisfaction with service provided and to cancel service and request a full refund, customer service received was deplorable. Although company customer service representative acknowledged that company failed to deliver resume-rewrite project in committed timeframe and could not provide explanation for lack of resume-writer's lack of communication and follow-up, company refused to issue refund. Consequently, I filed a claim with y bank and credit card company leading up to filing this claim with the Revdex.com to recoup my money.

Following is a detailed transcript and chronology of events that transpired with TopResume:

Sept *** 2018:
• Purchased online “Professional Growth” service from TopResume for discounted $129
• Received email confirmation from TopResume that project assigned to resume writer, Patty B.
• Project was to include 2 sets of revisions from resume writer, Patty B., and to be done by Oct
Sept *** 2018:
• Received initial introductory email from resume writer, Patty B.

Oct 2018:
• TopResume’s terms of service called for first resume rewrite to be delivered in 5 – 7 days
• As eight days had elapsed from purchasing service, sent email to resume writer, Patty B.
• Email inquired as to status of receiving first resume rewrite as draft was now past due
• Ultimately received first resume rewrite at end of eight day from purchasing service

Oct 2018:
• Sent detailed email and redlined version of resume to professional resume writer, Patty B.
• Expressed “disappointment” and “dissatisfaction” with initial draft of resume rewrite
• Resume rewrite had several factual errors, was poorly written, and lacked industry depth
• At estimated project completion date of Oct *, had received only one draft of resume rewrite

Oct *** 2018:
• Grew concerned as did not receive reply from resume writer, Patty B. to Oct 8 detailed email
• Also grew concerned as did not receive a second draft of resume rewrite which was promised
• Called TopResume customer service to cancel service and request full refund of $129 paid
• Request based on TopResume’s failure to deliver service, poor quality of work, lack follow-up
• Requested to and spoke with speak with supposed supervisor by name of, Breanna
• Supervisor, Breanna, reviewed account and various email communications exchanged
• Supervisor, Breanna, stated that TopResume dropped ball by not completing project by Oct 8
• Supervisor, Breanna, could not explain why there was no follow-up from Oct 8 detailed email
• Expressed complete dissatisfaction and requested service be canceled and refund of $129 paid
• Supervisor, Breanna, offered to reassign resume rewrite project to another resume writer
• Supervisor, Breanna, also offered to throw in a free service (cover letter) to compensate me
• Declined supervisor, Breanna’s, offers and insisted on canceling service and getting a refund
• Supervisor, Breanna, stated that company policy called for NO issuance of refunds of any kind
• Stated to supervisor, Breanna, that policy was unacceptable and I would pursue other means (to potentially include filing a claim with my bank and credit card issuer)

Oct 19, , and 23 2018:
• Tried to call TopResume’s *** to confirm cancellation and refund requests of Oct
• Made upwards of 12+ calls that were all immediately routed to automated phone system
• Automated phone system stated “all representatives [are] busy at the time…leave a message”
Oct 24 2018:
• As unsuccessful in reaching a TopResume representative, sent following detailed message (through TopResume’s company website)

I am writing to confirm that my cancellation and refund request for $129 dated Oct *** have been processed. As indicated to a supervisor by the name of Breanna on Oct *** when I contacted your 1-800 phone number, I was extremely dissatisfied with the quality of service received and with the fact that my resume writing project had NOT been completed in a timely manner (by Oct as reflected in your system and reported by Breanna).

As a matter of fact, I only received an initial draft of my resume rewrite from resume writer, Patty B., on Oct which was poorly written, lacked substance, and was riddled with data inaccuracies. It was clearly apparent that not only did your resume writer not due her homework in terms of reviewing detailed information sent to her and that she lacked any relevant industry knowledge, but also, but there was no follow-up communication from your resume writer from this date to present.

Per my request of Oct , I also writing to confirm that cancellation of my resume writing purchase has been processed and to request an immediate and FULL refund of $129. As supervisor Breanna was unable/chose not to process my refund request for $129 on Oct , I also hereby request that said matter be escalated to the appropriate representative within your organization.

You will note that I have already contacted my bank/credit card company to dispute said charge and am prepared to provide highly derogatory reviews and comments on any and all social media and internet sites where TopResume is listed if a FULL refund is not issued immediately and credited to my bank/credit card by close of business Friday, Oct . Feel free to contact me with any questions or should you require further clarification.

Oct *** 2918
• Blocked my phone number/caller ID and tried TopResume’s *** yet again.
• Call went directly through to a representative suggesting my number had been blocked
• Spoke with supervisor, Breanna, and confirmed cancellation request had been processed
• Also inquired as to status of TopResume issuing me a refund for the $129 that was paid
• Supervisor, Breanna, reiterated company policy again that they would NOT issue a refund.
• Requested to speak with supervisor, Breanna’s, boss or someone with refund authority
• Supervisor, Breanna, stated that her supervisor was not available and took a message
• Have not received any return call from anyone at TopResume subsequent to Oct *** call

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# *** and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Although TopResume acknowledges having been contacted by my credit card provider, they have not identified any specific action that has been undertaken with respect to refunding my money which would resolve said complaint. To suggest that they are working with my credit provider is merely a stall tactic on TopResume’s part to delay issuance of a refund as the company has up to 90 days to address a merchant chargeback. Rather than just issuing me an immediate credit to my credit card, TopResume has elected to continue to engage in unethical business practices and to further tarnish its reputation.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Hello ***,

When you open a dispute, it is up to your credit card provider to render judgment. At this time, evidence has been submitted to your credit card provider. We physically cannot refund you through our credit card processor. This is not a stalling tactic as we do not benefit from having an unhappy customer. So please speak to your bank about this as it is out of our hands.

This company charges to write resumes. I paid for a resume and also paid for rush service.
The resume was two days late, yet no refund of the rush fee. The resume was awful, with grammer errors, spelling errors, and more.
I asked for changes and then a few days went by and there was not communication. Then I was told they were too busy to have it done any sooner. THe next revision was just as bad. I complained to customer service, it took three days to get a reply. They told me to explain the issues and send them in. I did that hoping that my decison to pay for this was the right one. then another week went by with NOTHING. I then asked them to not proceed any further as I had to stop using them since it was so awful THen today, I see an email from them stating they did not get my changes I sent at that I should work with the writer. And again, they said they were very busy. This is a joke, I told them to stop working on it ...NO REPLY. SO I called them and the lady hung up on me

Talent Worldwide Response • Nov 08, 2018

Hello ***,

We're sorry for the experience you have had. You've already been refunded yesterday by Laurie. Let me know if you're looking for anything else.

In connection with a shift into a second career, I was originally taken in by a salesperson who provided fairly impressive initial comments on my draft resume. But after the sale, I was assigned to a freelancer of no particular distinction who asked very silly questions and then, after a week, produced a mistake-riddled draft that can only be described as awful. For one thing, it had typos all over the place--dropped capitals, misspelled words; I never worked in "Log Angeles," for example, nor do we live in the "Untied" States of America. (It just feels like that sometimes.) The content I had provided as an input came back to me twisted in incomprehensible ways. It was factually inaccurate, substantively unimpressive, and visually unappealing. I saw instantly that if I continued to work with this reviewer to revise the draft, I would be correcting her mistakes instead of receiving useful feedback on the shortcomings of my initial draft. Why should I pay to edit her?

I asked for a refund, and some reviewer writing as "Rina" said she couldn't see anything wrong with the draft I had been given. So I wrote her a long e-mail detailing the problems. After several days she wrote back that my "full refund request ha[d] been denied" but that "our Management team" was offering a 50% refund. "Rina" offered absolutely no substantive response to the catalog of errors I had sent her, nor did she express any embarrassment or regret at failing to catch them on her first review of the draft I had been given. I replied again, asking for the grounds on which my request was denied. After two days without a response, I wrote again. Her reply, when if finally came:

"The full refund request was denied on the basis that a draft was provided to you and you no longer wish to continue the process."

In other words, my request was denied because the draft was so bad I didn't want to continue. These charlatans simply do not stand behind their product. If they provide you with a draft and it's so bad that it's clearly going to be more work for you to correct TopResume's mistakes than to work on your own, they will still keep your money. I think that's a complete outrage.

I'm 55 years old and I have a good job now; I can take care of myself. But many people who are in need of this service will not be as well positioned, and they will be spending good money they may not really have in the hopes of improving their prospects. If my experience is any guide, TopResume will take their money and then assign them to some freelancer who may or may not have any qualifications. And if the product is awful, well too bad. The people who shill for this company should be ashamed of themselves.

I wanted help with my resume so I decided to Google professional resume writers and came acrossed top resume. They gave me a free resume evaluation and so I decided to try their services. However, their services were a bit pricey so I decided to borrow a loan from Affirm to pay for it. Affirm had issues approving the loan at first but afterwards, they approved it. Before the order was processed by topresume, I called as well as emailed them to cancel the order. They gave me the run around saying it was a final purchase as such they cant stop the order. I got in contact with affirm who told me that they cant cancel the loan until topresume tells them to. They also told me that topresume has the order has a pending status so I could call them to have them cancel it. Topresume refused to stop the order and then sent an email a few hours stating my order was processed. They could have cancelled the order and they didn't and now they are asking if I want to cancel the order for $75. They are a bunch of ripoffs and I would like for them to cancel without a fee so the loan can be cancelled at Affirm. The loan amount is $219.00

Talent Worldwide Response • Nov 09, 2018

Hi ***

You voluntarily accepted our Terms and Services when you decided to order a package from us. As all sales are final and there is no grace or trial period post purchase, we do not refund any clients in full whatsoever. We're sorry if you feel that this is unfair but every company has their policies in place for a reason. I see that one of my colleagues already offered to cancel your order with a cancellation fee in mind. If you still want to cancel, we can put in a formal refund request for you net the cancellation fee. Let me know what works for you.

I have had nothing but issues with topResume, and they have not only failed to provide the product during the contracted period, but after an escalation of my complaint, the product they did deliver did not meet the standard they were paid for.
After paying to be matched to a resume consultant, I was sent a notice that the match would be delayed due to the consultant working on other projects. I immediately requested a refund and initiated a charge dispute with my credit card provider. Suddenly after my credit card company contacted them, a consultant began "work" on my resume. This supposed work has been nothing but a repurposing of my existing resume, and changing words to synonyms from (I assume) a thesaurus. It has poor grammar, repeated sentences, inaccurate information that does not relate to me or the industry I work in. There was no change to the format, or additions. The product was promised to be tailored to my specific industry.. I paid $219!!!!! The service provided does not warrant even $2.
NO WORK WAS DONE! THE PRODUCT DOES NOT MEET THE ADVERTISED CLAIMS! THE PRODUCT WAS DELIVERED LATE! THE PRODUCT CANNOT BE USED!

I paid for the services of TopResume ($319), poor quality product, very entry level. The first writer I worked with knew nothing on how to write a resume, even after I sent in issues; such as missing a lot of my key skills and experience, they wanted to argue with me, saying the resume was fine....it was not. They assigned me to a second writer, which was worse than the first. I received the resume, and red inked the whole thing to show them the issues with the resume, at this point might as well write it myself. Spoke with customer service about my issues and they were rude, kept arguing with me that the resume was fine. I requested a refund, and they refused. This company is horrible, scam, will take your money, and waste your time. I have never wrote a bad review on a company, even if I had a bad experience with them; I usually just move on and deal with my losses. But the experience I had with this company was so awful that I had to. I am going to every platform I can to write about my horrible experience with TopResume.

So on 10//18, I received the first draft of my resume today and I must say it is truly disappointing. Similar to other complaints, outside of reformatting my resume, they did nothing. My resume has exactly the same content that I sent them except they added content that doesn’t exist in my resume. I received no contact from the writer even though I sent numerous emails to TopResume support email address.

All they did was repurpose my existing resume and removed 80% of it and reformatted that information into a blurb that states “Career Notes: Also did this and this and this” with no context or description of what was work was done. It was sent back to me in an older version of word and it is formatted strangely that I cannot even use the resume provided. It has poor grammar, repeated sentences, inaccurate information/context of my current resume.

TopResume failed to deliver the product and service as agreed upon at the time of purchase. I contacted the company multiple times concerning this matter but, to date, they have still failed to deliver any semblance of the agreed upon product. I still do not have a completed product, services have not been fulfilled.

My colleague reopened the order for you and asked you to send the writer feedback. Please confirm if this is the case, thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I did not agreed to move forward, your representative said "all that she could do is put in for a rewrite since the writer didn't get the numerous emails I sent to your support email address. I informed your representative that I did not want to move forward but all she kept repeating was that I the only option I had was for the rewrite. I told her that I would be contesting this purchase since it did not meet at all with my expectations nor does it meet or correct any of the findings your firm provide back to me in your critique of my resume that you stated needed correction and I quote from your firms critique:
"From the way the resume is worded, you come across as a "doer," as opposed to an "achiever." Too many of your job descriptions are task-based and not results-based. This means that they tell what you did, instead of what you achieved. This is a common mistake for non-professional resume writers. To be effective and create excitement, a great resume helps the hiring executive picture you delivering similar achievements at his or her company. Here are some examples of task-based sentences in your resume:
“Provided leadership in the purchase and acquisition of new technology and equipment”“Consulted with appropriate stakeholders to coordinate, evaluate and recommend and purchase new technology and equipment”Employers want to know about your previous contributions and specifically how you’ve made a difference. More importantly, they want to know how you are going to make a significant difference at their company. When I read your resume, I did not find the kind of compelling language that would bring your work to life. Instead, I saw passive words and non-action verbs.Phrases like “provided” and “managing” are overused, monotonous, and add little value to your resume. Strong action verbs, used with compelling language to outline exemplary achievements, are essential parts of a well-constructed resume. Now, let’s put it all together. Here’s a real life example taken from a former client’s resume. By changing the language, we helped to improve the perception of the candidate.Passive language / Doing: “Negotiated contracts with vendors”Action language / Achieving: “Slashed payroll/benefits administration costs 30% by negotiating pricing and fees, while ensuring the continuation and enhancements of services.”A change like this makes a dramatic improvement. It may not seem obvious, but a regular review of every word and sentence in your resume is a good idea. Hiring managers are looking for an excuse to eliminate you as a candidate. You may not be able to see awkward phrases and grammatical errors if you've already spent a lot of time with your own resume.".

No work has been done to my resume to address any of these concerns. All that was done was a removing content to make it fit into two pages and applying a generic template. Nothing that was promised has been provided and I still do not wish to move forward.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

TopResume is a company that allows to you submit for a free resume evaluation and then pay for a professional to write you a resume, cover letter, etc. This is the URL to my first evaluation " *** " I then proceeded to pay for the professional rewrite of my resume, cover letter, linkedIn profile, phone call with the resume writer, and thank you letter. In total this cost $339. After I received my first draft of the redone resume I scheduled my phone call with the resume writer. I didn't get the impression he was an "expert" like advertised he had no input on industry best practices, desirable skills in the industry, etc. I was concerned about this so I submitted the professionally written resume I had just received for another free resume evaluation from TopResume. This is the URL " *** as you can see the feedback is nearly identical between the two. I've attempted to contact Katie W at TopResume about this as well as Terry who was the resume writer. I haven't received a response from either about this issue. I would expect when I submit a resume that TopResume wrote for evaluation not to receive the same feedback as my original. Nor would I expect to receive more negative feedback such as "Phrases like “coordinate” and “supervise” are overused, monotonous, and add little value to your resume. Strong action verbs, used with compelling language to outline exemplary achievements, are essential parts of a well-constructed resume." on account of the negative feedback provided on a resume one of their professionals wrote, and the non responsiveness I would like a full refund.

The first draft I got was horrendous. I can’t believe I paid a single dollar for this let alone over 300. The writer lacked basic English. Wrote “business acumen” as a description of myself rather than what it is- a TRAIT. Completely misunderstood my very basic job descriptions. Told me my resume needed their help because I didn’t list numerical successes then their rewrite was no different. This is a scam. I was willing to shell out the money thinking it was worth it but I’m nauseous that I purchased this. I can’t believe I found this during a reliable company’s job application. I refuse to pay for this absolute scam.

Hi ***

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your first draft and would like some clarification. I have reviewed your order and see that you were happy with your first draft and provided comments for your writer. Your writer, Tiffany provided you with your revisions earlier today. It would be helpful to know why you are stating you are unhappy on your Revdex.com complaint but happy with your first draft with your writer. As stated on our guarantee, the writer is willing to be fully collaborative with their clients but needs strong feedback in order for them to alter the revised resume to how the client wants the resume to be. Let me know if you would like a phone call. I would be more than happy to have one of our Customer Support specialist reach out to you. Thank you.

[Your Answer Here]

When I first glanced over it everything seemed ok aside from the job descriptions that she got painfully wrong. Upon further review of her draft not only did it occur to me that, especially for $350, writers should not be making such basic English mistakes in understanding my job descriptions, but I also then realized the terrible grammar and misuse of many of the words. Professionals that I showed it to were horrified and would not have ever accepted a resume like that. Just prior to purchasing your service, your analysis of my resume was that it was totally unacceptable and the descriptions wouldn’t get me any interviews, taking unacceptable advantage of the anticipating emotions of someone currently applying for jobs (I assume this is your tactic so you most likely already know this), but on top of that, her first rewrite did nothing but poorly and inaccurately reword the job descriptions I already had. Furthermore, for me to have to keep having her rewrite her mistakes, I might as well have paid for a ONE TIME resume re-write then fixed it on my own... it’s an absolute ripoff claiming you are offering a service that actually only consists of them fixing their mistakes over and over (as tons of other reviewers of yours experienced, too) rather than writing a great resume at all. I paid for what I expected to be an exceptional service that could have reformatted and adjusted my resume much better than any of my other resources could’ve. This is what you claimed that influenced me to buying your service. However, that is far from the truth. Your service is more a scam than it is the byproduct of eloquent, well-educated writers who are worthy of charging such a fee. From the writers knowledge of the existence of the term “business acumen” but applying it completely incorrectly leads me to believe you simply have some type of word generator based on what the purchaser describes then has a “writer” pick and choose these words to fill in. So as I said- I will not pay for this, and I will not accept a re-write, and I do not accept your trying to use my initial attempts of kindness toward an inadequate writer as a reason to refuse this.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Hello ***

We are sorry for the experience you have had. We have refunded the full amount to you. The funds should appear back into your account in 3-5 business days. Have a good day.

I found out after purchasing my resume that this company does not deliver as promised so I asked for a cancellation less than 48 hours after submitting my order. I asked for a full refund and they did not respond for days. I sent two other emails and they finally responded saying that it has been assigned to someone and that they were going to keep $100 of my payment even though I have not received anything from them. I am seeking a complete refund, these are very shady business practices and they need to be help accountable.

I hired Top resume to create a leadership resume for myself. It was over a month ago. They have yet to complete the project and instead of using a creative template they used my template and added on to my resume. The “proof read” resume was over 4 pages in length. If this is a professional resume business they should know that resumes 2 pages or less recruiters look more at than 4+ pages a. I have contacted the company now 3 times and no response. I wish to have my money refunded as it was over $200!! This is rediculous to have a company take that long and also that they say “interview guaranteed” not if they never finish the product!!

In September 2018, I order a new resume and introduction letter. In the middle of completing the worksheet, I was locked out of the website. I was told that once the porter is closed it can not be reopened. I was told to email the writer directly. I told Karen Warren that I was not comfortable doing that. I asked why I can not get a user name and pass code. Did not get an answer but was told to contact the writer directly. I did dispute the payment with my credit card. The credit card said they sent me a letter to respond. I did not get the letter and time ran out. The charge was put back on my card. I have been asking for a refund since 9--18. I ben told it is in process. I just want my money back. Please tell what I can do.

I recently purchased a package that includes advertised a "LinkedIn Professional Makeover". Instead, the services I received was a simple copy/paste of my resume, which is NOT a "professional makeover" by any stretch of imagination. I requested for a refund -- difference between the 2 packages ($130) and was denied. They have since not responded to my subsequent requests for a refund. I have now filed a complaint with the FTC and my credit card company for fraudulent charge. The advertised services does not match what was actually delivered.

On 10/8/2018 bought the accelerated 48 hr turn around package, (which I found out meant 2 business days) I did not hear from anyone until I made several phone calls on the second day to find out what was the delay. Finally had contact with the writer late that evening and worked with him until 1am making changes. To date have not heard anything else. It is now a week, I do not have a finalized resume, my phone call are not being accepted. The first draft was very rushed, it was obvious by the errors in the timeline. For the monies paid for expedited action the response has been less than stellar. The project was not started until the end of the turn around time.

I paid for a service to be completed in 1 week, per their email. After 1 week I had not even been contacted, so I told them to cancel and asked for a refund. 5 days later after I sent 4 emails, I get a response saying customer service is busy and there are no refunds. Later they agreed to reimburse me my money minus $100. I finally agreed so this would be over with and now they aren't giving me my money back. 10 days ago I was told they are waiting on approval from management. This place is a scam.

Hi ***,

We are sorry for the experience you have had with us. We see that you have filed a dispute with Affirm at this time. The only way we can refund you at this moment is if you withdraw your dispute with Affirm. If you choose to keep your dispute with Affirm, we will work with them to resolve the issue. I have also responded to you in an email thread. Let me know how you would like to proceed and we will work to get your refund processed. Thank you.

From mid-August to September , nothing was done. Finally, receive a draft which was so substandard it wasn't funny. We wanted a refund, however, TopResume agreed finally to assign another writer and a finalized document by Tuesday, September *** or issue a refund (We spoke with Rena). On Wednesday the *** we get yet another substandard document asking for the same information already provided. The document that was "draft" had an information accuracy rate of less than 20%. Sent an email Thursday, September *** requesting a refund. The document clearly did not reflect the job in the industry even though we sent the complete job description per the employer. No response of any kind. Called and spoke again with Rena On Monday, September ***. She said she could see the issue, but that they didn't know I wanted a refund. Explained she had just confirmed the email requesting a refund, so moot. We explained we wanted a refund and were told has to pass thru to management to request a refund. I balked again, nothing according to contract, substandard and now you want me to wait to "consider a refund". Rena said she would send an email, she did, specifically saying:

"As I had explained to XXXX via phone this morning, as we do have a strict refund policy at this time I have submitted a formal refund request to be reviewed and approved by our Management team.

These requests are typically reviewed within a few days and we will follow up with you on next steps once we have been provided with the outcome of your request."

Yeah no, already put us off a month. Strict refund policy does not address their inability to perform according to contract. They failed, twice.

Very simply, we want our refund we are due processed immediately. $300 is a good deal of money. Clearly both writers that picked up the job do not write for this particular industry, and that is TopResume's problem, not ours

I ordered a service to help w my resume but they don't tell you till after the purchase how long it takes for them to have someone get in touch with you. Once I had paid I was informed it would take over a week. I called their company within 5 minutes of my order and tried to cancel and their customer service people would not even entertain that. After much insistence on my part, they said they would let me know. I just received an email stating they would keep $50 of my $150 and would refund me a $100. For not having any services I cannot believe they would not refund me the entire akujt back. Unprofessional.

They did nothing. My resume has exactly the same juvenile format I schemed up on my own. They told me it would take five days; turn around was about 5 weeks!! All correspondence was via email - a phone call was an extra charge. A ton of laborious back and forth and miscommunication and not understand or discussing goals. I was very much interested in formatting, making it look professional and making sure it was optimized for electronic resume processing. Instead of doing any of that, they wanted to change my words to relay that I was the best candidate for technical management roles they know nothing about, and minimize the scope of my experience to fit an impossibly narrow job description that they probably Googled somewhere. An incredible waste of time and money!
