On August , 2018, I contracted with TopResume for the rewrite of a resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile (order #***). I was then contacted on August , 2018 by my assigned resume writer, Joe B. Joe and I exchanged a few email that included my current resume and cover letter with me answering other questions he had about my professional background. On August , 2018, I received the first draft of my new resume from Joe B. and responded on August , 2018 with the following, "Thank you, Joe. In my opinion, the new resume closely resembles the current resume. My concern is, my current resume is not getting much attention, so I am questioning if the new one will get any additional attention. Is the style/format one that is typical for education administration?"
Joe B. responded on August , 2018 with, "Educational resumes are pretty standard and CV's even more so (basically the alternative). I can reformat into more of a business style if you'd like? My "day job" is executive recruiting and, to be honest, layout and format is important only to the extent is makes your resume less readable or scannable (for the ATS machines). The goal is to be clear,and easily readable and understandable. No trick typography, colored type or sideways columns. I am always surprised at how much information (including names) is "unreadable" by ATS. To me, what's more important is using the cover letter (personalized) and resume (both tweaked to the specific job). Submit it on-line and via email (to the hiring manager), and followup. And followup. Put a person behind the document. Anyway, want the reformat?"
On August , 2018, I responded to Joe with, "Thank you. Maybe I did not need the revision. I hear what you say about formatting and feel the current resume has very little formatting. I am not sure what I thought would change. But, I believe it may be best to cancel the order."
On August , 2018, Joe responded to me with, "By "cancel the order" do you mean not do a revision?"
On August , 2018, I responded to Joe with, "Cancel, as in stop the project and refund."
On August , 2018, Joe responded with, "I have delivered a draft resume and cover letter and if you can give me feedback I will revise it to your satisfaction."
August , 2018, I started receiving emails from Customer Services about getting a rewrite and a new writer. I declined on multiple occasions, continued requesting a refund, and all times the refund was denied.
I am once again requesting a full refund of the purchase price of $314.00 to be issued back to the credit card which the purchase was made.

Someone from TopResume just emailed me. They did not offer a resolution, just asked to see the rejection letter I filed with my bank reversing the dispute and leaving my credit card charged. I have attached that reversal letter from my bank to this communication, as well.
My bank claims that I did not send supporting documentation, which I did; however, they closed the request and reversed the conditional refund.

I got the initial re-write of my resume from Fatima.
She initially misspelled my name. She wasn’t even consistent throughout the document calling me *** in one place and Katherine in another.
She misspelled the name of at least one of my past employers.
She put a comma in front of a prepositional phrase.
She was inconsistent in which tense to use.
She emphasized my experience working in healthcare when I specified that I wanted to focus on engineering and IT.
She seemed to think that my employment as a contract employee was something of which to be ashamed.
Overall, she made my resume sound like English was my second language.
I requested a refund because I cannot use this or any version of this document. I received no response from any of the emails that they had used when they contacted me. Despite my complaint, they sent a copy of the first draft marked "final" to me with no mention of my previous emails.
They did not provide an expert writer and produced a substandard product. I requested a refund and did not receive a response to my request.

Searching for a professional company to polish and update my resume. Seeking quality wording and for my resume to stand out. Upon payment, I received an email questionnaire, which was overwhelming and not what I expected. I began to receive emails for additional services, one $49.00 for a phone consultation... really, for $349 a phone consultation is not included? I decided not to move forward utilizing TopResume so I did not complete the questionnaire nor any communication other than requesting a refund. Once I called and asked for a refund, she stated, final sale no refunds. How can you complete a "Top Resume" with only one hour communication via phone for an additional $49.00 and the rest done by email. Preparing a "Top" resume takes communication for $349.00 I would expect excellent customer service. After speaking with Rhiannon, I was stunned at the lack of customer service.

Save your money and stay even further away from this disgrace of a company!!!!! Never experienced this type of service in my life before
I contracted TOPRESUME to rewrite my resume. The resume was guaranteed to be completed within 3 days, as soon as I paid online, it became obvious that was not going to happen. I called to cancel twice and was given excuses and not allowed to cancel. Reading reviews warning of a scam, I called my bank and disputed the charge. Only after that, TOPRESUME tried to email a resume to me and fought the dispute. The bank decided in their favor. I then tried to use the resume they emailed. No results, interviews or even calls resulted from sending that resume.
I then tried to use their second guarantee stating 'If you don’t receive two times more job interviews within 60 days of receiving your final copy, we will rewrite your resume again, free-of-charge.' - I have notified them in writing several times - they now tell me they have closed my account because I tried to dispute the charge with my bank. The charge went through, they have my money, their service did nothing and they are not honoring the guarantee. At this point, I want a full refund.

I hired a resumé writing service with this company. I sent them information and my current resumé. I writer was assigned to me, and he did a great job doing a job summary and presenting my two most recent job experiences. He asked me for feedback, I gave him positive feedback, signalizing he could go on with the rest of the resumé, and fix the few typos he had made.
The "final version" I received is exactly like the previous version my writer had sent me, with only two of my job experiences. When he sent me this "final version", I was very sick and could not sit at the computer. Then, I got better and had to immediately travel, and my phone could not open the file. I did not realize I had such a short time to review, which is not their fault, but the point is, I paid for the full resumé, and he did not even send me the draft of the second page of my resumé after my feedback. What he sent for me to review is exactly what he had sent before. He did not even make the changes (typos) I had asked him to. I still feel I have been fooled, that I received only a sample. Therefore, I would like to receive a partial refund.

I was looking into Glassdoor seeking a new job, there was an ad which mentioned a free resume review. After the resume review, it showed me how terrible my resume is, and have since been ghosting me with resume advertisements from the company. After consulting with the contact with good faith, I placed an order which includes a cover letter & resume rewrite with a 24-hour guarantee. The total price of it is 249. Everything looks good at first, they assigned the resume to who they said is an expert. I thanked the contact and informed her about the decision. However, after that there were no other replies.
After 24 hours, there was no reply nor update from any parties (the contact, the company, the writer).
The first letter that the contact sent me after 41 hours was trying to upsell me the linkedin rewrite. I told her to deal with my 24-hour rewrite first and she did not reply since.
The next thing I did was contacting the support of the company, yet no response from them as well.
Finally, I tried contacting the writer personally and there was no reply on his part as well.
Its already 48 hours, which was twice the time they guaranteed to finish the work, and what frustrates me is that there has been no reply or feedback from all parties, which is extremely unprofessional.

[The writer gave me a reply after 4 days (Approximately 96 hours) after I requested a 24 hour rush service. This is totally not professional and not acceptable. If Topresume is not able to provide the service, then that should not ever be an option. Apart from that, the resume that they delivered after 96 hours is also terrible: The resume is 3 pages long (It is common sense that resumes should be either 1 page or 2 pages. 3 pages are totally unacceptable, especially they have left out huge blank spaces which is also a no-no for a professional resume. They were talking about how the professional writer knows the industry well and will take care of the format. Well, according to the result here, I doubt it); There are grammar and punctuation mistakes everywhere; They did changes to my wording but still did not solve the problem about my resume's quality and quantities; The skill summary part did not add value to my resume at all but makes the professional resume to look even more amateur; The cover letter itself is a template that I had seen online before, there is nothing that I see is "personalized" as promised. In the end, the resume Topresume provided is not usable and I need to ask help from my friends to redo it myself.
Overall, the service crew are slow, not responding to emails; the service provided is over-promising but under-delivering; The results is not qualified nor usable.

I am extremely frustrated with the *** service I have received from your company. I signed up for an executive package and was promised to receive the first draft by Oct ***, 2018. When I did not receive anything from the person responsible, I made three attempts to reach out to your company. I emailed the person, called, and even wrote on the support chat. When no one replied back, I had no option but to contact Affirm. They opened a dispute, and you guys said the following:1
1. The client is responsible for all final sale - Sale happens when you sell something and I receive an actual service, which clearly I never received.
2. You said to Affirm we will offer a 10% discount; it's almost a month now. What the hell will I do with the service now? When I needed it the most, you did not deliver.

I purchased the most expensive resume package on the 11/after a advertisement that sounds very promising. For almost two weeks, they are STILL working on finding me a writer, I could not find a login portal on their website! I've provided a very detailed description of my portfolio and I could not believe it took them this long to even start my service. I've tried to contact the customer service, and there's no response after several days. I don't feel comfortable using this business anymore considering I paid the most expensive service and was not treated with any care.

I don't accept the resolution because I viewed the initial draft, and I've spend a very long time on my supporting material. The work was unacceptable, it was not something I consider 249$ value. And I doubt my revised draft would be any better considering the work done on my initial draft.
I really don't think my money was spend on a product that was advertised on site. I wish a full refund, the initial draft has so many blank spaces that still requires me to fill in despite providing everything they need. I'm very disappointed with the qualify of the work they provided, it was definitely not what they advertised on their website nor that I paid for, consider I paid the most expensive package and still waited almost three weeks to get a initial draft that is sub-par comparing to the resume that I already had.

I hired TopResume to provide an improved, updated and marketable resume and cover letter for my job search. The end product provided was absolutely horrible. I have over 15 years of experience, the writer only included the last 6 years of employment. My job includes a number of software and other technical skills. The writer completely failed to recognize the type of role I was applying for even though I had provided detailed information in the questionnaire. The cover letter was written so poorly I would not consider using any of it in my job search. I spent $189 for a professional resume and cover letter and was provided with absolute garbage. I feel completely scammed and duped. I did inform TopResume of my issues and they offered to align me with a "new, more tenured writer". I feel I should have had a "tenured" writer from the start. Not only that, I received a final e-mail saying my service had ended and I've received no further communication from TopResume.

As you can see from the screenshots provided, I purchased this service based upon the promise of a writer who had a proven success rate writing resumes and cover letters. Nobody has recently responded to me. The last response I got was the SAME response I have receive for the past several months which is returning 50% of my investment. I did not receive a viable product and have asked for a 100% refund of my investment. TopResume has continuously responded in the same manner even though they are fully aware it is not a reasonable solution. I have been very clear in my multiple responses via the Revdex.com that only a 100% refund of my investment would be fair and logical. This complaint will ONLY be resolved with a 100% refund. TopResume failed to provide an experienced resume writer and the product I received was ridiculously lacking and not at all useable. TopResume recognized (in writing) that they did not have an experienced writer assigned to my project. It has been 5 months that TopResume has held my money and refused to refund the full investment. I am left with out of pocket expenses, a great deal of wasted time and a product that could not be used in any way, shape or form. TopResume failed to provide the services they were paid for and misrepresented the service. I was led to believe an experienced resume writer would be assigned to my project and that DID NOT happen.

I purchased the Executive Priority package from TopResume, phone consultation 48hr rush as well as the posting service on 11/2018. I was assigned a writer and received my resume 48hours later. The Executive package included a top-tier writer. However, I received a resume that was ten times worse than my original resume. The writer did not seem to understand my job function. I spent time filling out their questionnaire, and the main points I wanted addressed were not. Also, my cover letter was 55% plagiarized from another site. I immediately sent an email and called TopResume on 11/*/2018 to file a complaint and ultimately request a refund. The customer service rep assured me that she would send over the request to management for refund approval. Three days passed and I did not hear back so I called again and the representative informed that the previous representative did not submit the request, but she did see the email I had sent as soon as I received the resume. Fast forward to 11//2018 I still had not heard back and called again for an update and was assured I would hear back by the end of business day, but I did not. I finally received an email today denying the request with an offer for either a top-tier resume writer or 50% refund. I do not accept either offer. I had already paid for a top-tier writer and a 50% refund it is not acceptable. F representative did not submit the request, but she did see the email I had sent as soon as I received the resume. Fast forward to 11//2018 I still had not heard back and called again for an update and was assured I would hear back by the end of business day, but I did not. I finally received an email today denying the request with an offer for either a top-tier resume writer or 50% refund. I do not accept either. First, I never had the phone consultation or was my resume ever posted, so the $100 refund for both should be a non-issue. Second, a customer should not have to pay for bad work. I went with TopResume because my husband had a good experience in the past. However, I now do not trust this brand.

My issue is partly customer service as they just quit responding to my emails after I stated that I was not satisfied with the writing services received. The other issue I have is with the writing service. I sent in my resume ( which was purchased from a competitor of this company, did not perform well and was half the price ). The finished “ upgraded” rewritten, new resume came back to me and was almost identical to the resume that I sent in. I explained this to the writer who gave me “ canned “ answers and questions to help them complete. The questions asked did not reflect my issues or the service purchased. I did answer the questions just to receive an even more poorly written resume. I am not a professional a writing resumes, this is why I purchased the service, if I could pen point what was wrong with the resume, I would write my own. My existing resume was not working and TopResume did nothing to make it look better, but they sure took my money. I contacted customer service to resolve but after I answered the questions they had they Did not answer my emails and I was advised that the revision period was over and the process was complete. I requested a new writer and got no reply to that either. I want a refund as I do not believe they are capable of finishing the job and have rude and upsetting to the point that I feel that my money was taken and wasted.

I purchased a resume writing service through TopResume, and received a very poor quality first draft that did not even sound like it was written by a native English speaker, it was very unprofessional. I sent back my comments and the writer sent me another draft, which was only very slightly better than the first. Overall both were not professional standard at all and had numerous small mistakes. Horribly unprofessional product.
I reached out to resolve, and all they have offered is to pair me with a "more experienced" writer. At first I was willing to consider having a different writer assigned, but I looked up reviews and saw that other people had this same experience, and the more I thought about it the more I realized that if the first writer is any indication, I have no faith in the company's ability to deliver a professional product. I have asked for my Affirm loan to be refunded; I have already paid about $25 and am willing to let that go, but the resume is NOT worth $150 and I wanted the rest refunded. They have refused because the service is "intangible."
Please help me resolve this, I should not have to pay $150 for a resume that I can't use at all.

As I have already told TopResume, I do not trust that another writer of theirs will do a good job, given the poor quality of the first writer. I do not think it is fair for me to wait another week or two to receive a resume that could very likely be of questionable quality as well. It is a waste of everyone's time. I paid for a quality resume, and while I know that it can take multiple drafts to get what you want, I should NOT have received the quality of resume like that of my first draft. I sent it to one of my friends who is a recruiter, and she asked why I would ever pay for this.
I've attached both drafts I have received. They have grammar and spelling errors, are wordy and redundant, and far too long for my experience level. They also did not get the titles of my jobs right, nor my phone number (on both drafts). I could have done a better job myself. Not going to pay for this quality, and again if this writer was this bad, I highly doubt the quality of their other writers.
I would still like to receive a partial refund. I am willing to let my first Affirm payment go, but would like the rest refunded. I feel like about $25 is what the first resume was worth anyway (if anything), so I think this is fair. I expected much more from a service costing $150.

I purchased the Executive Priority Resume Writing Package ($349.00)
I submitted my old resume & work history as requested from Top Resume with my order, but the Cover Letter & Resume created for my order did not align with the information I submitted. I wrote to the writer about my concerns and made some suggestions. The writer returned the revised resume and cover letter drafts with some of my suggested changes reflected in the resume only. My requested amendments were never inputted into the cover letter. In fact, the cover letter did have any revisions at all, after comparing the second cover letter revision to the first.
I was not satisfied with the first or second drafts of the Cover letters and Resumes submitted for my review, and I had to provide all of the revisions myself. This composition took me several hours each day. I have a copy of the what I originally sent, my original resume, and Top Resume's first and second drafts that Top Resume sent back to me. The amount of work I meticulously composed myself to adjust the misalignment took 5 hours on Nov *, and 6 hours today, Nov *. The writer had requested my "last" revisions by marking up the Word document and sending it back to her to finalize, but I had already corrected and completed the resume myself. What is the point of having Top Resume take my finished resume that they could not figure out themselves?

I have an email from Top Resume on Nov at 12:51 am thanking me for completing my questionnaire and that I can expect results within 48 hours. That did not happen until Nov at 9:03 am, which is more than 48 hours.

On 9//18 I purchased the executive resume priority package for $349.
In this packaged included a guarantee for my satisfaction with their resume writing.
On 10//18 I received my first, and ONLY draft. I replied to the person assigned to my project on 10//18 with my feedback. I did not hear back from them until 10/*/18. They explained why they chose the formatting and descriptions. None of which addressed the fact that I was unhappy.
I did not hear back from them again, did not receive an updated resume or anything else until 10//18 when they advised they were still needing feedback. I replied back, again with my feedback, on 10//18. In this email I was extremely explicit;
“I understand that you are trying to get my resume past the "key word" scan. As well, that my CV should be more succinct - which is something I tend to struggle with.

I did not receive any other drafts or communications until 10//18 when your company advised you were closing my project. Claiming you had not heard back from me.
I replied. Very specifically, very directly, and with intentional feedback about the horrid resume I was provided. In what world would I pay $349 for a resume that lists LIES on it????
Then, since that date, I have had to “ARGUE back and forth over this. Literally forwarding emails showing I did reply, that I did give feedback, and that YOUR
COMPANY stated that with the feedback provided they were sure they could meet my expectations.
Not only was this entire process just a horrendous burden on myself as the consumer, but the company is not even providing the services they promised NOR a refund!

I paid for 48 hour expedited resume rewrite. It required submitting a survey which I completed at 12:59pm on Friday, October , 2018.
The guarantee was for a 48 hour turnaround (aka, 2 business days). It should have been provided by Tuesday at the same time.
I need the resume asap in order to submit it to a very important job opportunity that was already at risk of being closed to applications.
On Tuesday, I sent a note to the Support address asking for the resume to be completed on time and reminded them of the urgency and payment.
I received no response until Wednesday, and they claimed that I completed the survey on 10/*** and so they had until Nov *.
I responded immediately with a screenshot of the email I received thanking me for completing the survey - the email showed that I received the message on Friday, Oct *** at 12:59pm. They continually ignore this fact and refuse to refund me. They offered to allow me to use the credits towards other services but those were not needed. They seem to acknowledge their blame by offering free $50 services used elsewhere, but refused to refund me the amount fo failure to comply with the 48 hour guarantee. I was NOT able to submit the application because, as I feared, by the time I received the rewrite, the job was closed.
