We are still investigating the claim at this time to determine if the delivery company is liable for the damages
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: This claim was filed immediately when the damage was done back in Jan 13, 2017. This company is dragging out this claim for...
over 4 months and the damage still remains in our home. Their employees are lying about being in our home and causing damage to save their jobs. My wife and I both witnessed these employees in our home and this company is refusing to accept responsibility for their employees actions. This claim needs to settled now so we can make repairs to our home that Spirit Delivery and Distribution caused from their carelessness.
Regards,
[redacted]
we are standing by the denial. the damages were caused by a leaking valve not from the installation
the claim is still under investigation at this time to determine if we are liable for the damages

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I told the deliverymen they ripped my floor, I notified [redacted] within 15 minutes of the...
botched delivery of the damage, and I have a witness who says my floor was not damaged prior to the deliverymen's actions. To may knowledge, I did not sign a not damage waiver. I believe I signed that I rejected the damaged refrigerator.

Review: This company delivered a stove to my house and broke granite counter top. They had my daughter come out to driveway and look at stove and sign no damage ticket. They brought stove in and said they could not mount to wall because of concrete (there is no concrete). They did not even level stove. They stuck in space and left. My daughter noticed broken counter top as soon as they left about 2 minutes. She called [redacted], delivery men came back within 10 minutes took pictures and said they were sorry. I talked to Diana R[redacted] from Spirit Delivery today and she said they were not even suppose to install, we hired [redacted] to deliver and install. When they replaced stove a couple days later it was installed properly and they took more pictures of counter top. They are denying claim because of delivery ticket which they made her sign before bringing in house. They knew the broke counter top thats why they had to hurry to get out.Desired Settlement: I want my kitchen counter tops the way they were before this delilvery.

As per the delivery team they didn't caused any damages to the claimant. Claimant sign the attached waiver stating that there was no damages to per appliance or property. See attached waiver.
Review: Upon delivery of four new appliances, my brand new wood floor was damaged by the delivery crew. I notified the store and filed all proper paper work to begin the claim process. They are refusing to compensate me in anyway for the hundreds of dollars of damage their delivery team caused.Desired Settlement: I would like this issue resolved by receiving the amount of money necessary to repair my floor (approximately $600)

Response:
We didn't find no liability on the delivery team. Customer home was under construction at the time of the delivery and there is no proof that the damages was caused by the delivery company. Claimant signed an waiver stating no damages to the home or appliances/ See attached pictures showing home was under construction at that time and signed release

I am rejecting this response because:
I reported the property damage to the store within 1 hour of the delivery. I took all necessary steps to make sure all parties involved were aware of the damage. The photo Spirit attached is one I provided the company. The stove was left in that "uninstalled" position and that is exact location of where the biggest dent in the wood floor appears. They did not attach that photo, which I also provided. In addition, when I called the company upon receiving the letter which claimed "no liability", I was told that the drivers documented they were wearing protective booties at the time of delivery. That was not accurate information. They did not wear ANY protective gear on their feet. I also explained to the drivers that the floor was brand new and to please be careful. They did not put anything on the floor to protect it during the delivery of appliances. Most delivery companies put sheets or cardboard down to protect floors as a regular protocol.
Review: Company contracted through [redacted]. Delivered a washer/dryer to my home causing cosmetic damage to my home in the process. I immediately called the [redacted] office of Spirit to complain and to open a claim for the damages. Was told I would receive follow-up with a claim number and contractor info with 48 hours. Late in the evening the day after my initial complaint, I noticed water damage to my home around the area of the washer/dryer. I called a plumber and scheduled service for the next day. The plumber discovered there was a leak in the water valve of the washer box where the washer was hooked up. I immediately called Spirit again to inform them of the water damage, stating their employees were the last ones to touch the water valve and that there was not a leak before they attached my washer/dryer. An employee of Spirit along with the two original delivery men came to my home to assess the damage. At no time did the company do anything to rectify the problem. They didn't call an emergency cleaning service to clean up the damage-instead telling me I was responsible for doing that and that I would hopefully be reimbursed. The delivery men argued with me that they caused no damage at all to my home and implied that either I was at fault or that the damage was there before they ever stepped foot into my home. I was then informed that no claim had been filed 2 days earlier because the delivery men hadn't filed a claim, even though I had already called to file one. I emailed the local office of the company with no response or follow up. I became upset due to the fact that no one was following up with me. I was told by the office that I was rude and they wouldn't help me if I wasn't respectful to them, as they were trying to help me. I had an estimate done on the damage and found out the damage is more extensive than thought. They have done nothing to solve the problem the created. I have water damage and cosmetic damage to my home and I am getting the run around from themDesired Settlement: I want them to take responsibility for all damages to my home and to pay and be financially responsible for the repairs. I want it known that their customer service practices are extremely questionable, inappropriate, and unprofessional. I've been lied to, ignored, talked down to, interrupted, told I was being rude. They came into my home and caused extensive damage and then had the nerve to come into my home and argue with me and suggest that I was responsible for the damages.

Review: Sub contractor or installer left a pipe for a dishwasher leaking for three days, floor and cabinets are damaged. Without even sending out an insurance adjuster to see the damage.Desired Settlement: To have my cabinet fixed and floors replaced due to the water damage .

Review: I have all the details on this companies missed appts, dates times etc. I sent them and [redacted] certified letters and kept detailed notes along with pictures. estimates and witness statements. I purchased a microwave and oven from [redacted] in [redacted] I did this on Sept 29 2014. I did not know it at the time but [redacted] handles all the appliances for [redacted] was my sales rep. same location they are in the store. their phone # [redacted] . The delivery company failed to show up on 5 different occasions This co is Spirit Delivery and Distribution [redacted] Phone [redacted]. I received 4 phone calls with many excuses. The last delivery did not take place and they did not call. They finally showed up without prior notice and delivered the oven only. They scheduled an appointment to do the microwave and missed two appointments on these. The finally delivered the microwave oven on Oct 4 2014 . The oven did not match the other appliances. [redacted] agreed to switch out the oven. They sent Spirit Delivery out and they missed the first appointment . Spirit finally made the switch of the ovens on Nov 28 2014 after 8PM. I paid $599.98 for the oven. A [redacted] oven model # [redacted] .This was paid for on my [redacted] through [redacted] The to men from Spirit showed up very angry complaining about everything seemed in a hurry. They did the install but did not unwrap the unit. They gave me a form that was already filled out and said sign for the delivery . I signed it and they left in a rush. I later noticed this paperwork was incorrect on delivery time and other areas. I then noticed two things the oven still does not match and there was a gouge -cut in the vinyl floor right where they rested the oven and dolly. I looked closer and it was a clear. cut. I called [redacted] immediately but the appliance department was closed. I called the next day and told [redacted] that the appliance still does not match. They said they will refund my money. They never did. I also called [redacted] the store manager at [redacted] in [redacted] . He said he will report this to his corp office. I did not hear anything so I went to the store 2 days later [redacted] was out I left a message for him to call. I also sent a letter about the claim to [redacted] on Dec 5 2104. Finally after many calls and visits to the store It was determined Spirit Delivery is responsible. they contacted me sent me a claim form. I immediately returned it with pictures and estimates. A few weeks later they decided to reject the claim. They said I waited to long to report it and I signed a piece of paper claiming I said no damage to my property. I explained I did not notice the damage until the drivers left and that I reported the claim within 24 hours of the damage. So at this point I am out over $4000 in lost wages, I paid over $500 for an oven that does not match my appliances. I have no vacation days left as I used them up when Spirit missed 9 deliveries. I also have a bad mark on my credit because I was dealing with a mismatched appliance. I will fax the documents I have that are closest to the damages. And I have $2500 in damages to my floor. I am available to discuss this anytime. I can be reached at [redacted] I pray you find in my favor. I have exact dates of missed deliveries if needed. Again this has been a nightmare for me and my family.Desired Settlement: I expect my damaged floor to be replaced. min cost $2500 . I slso lost over $4000 in wages due to their skipped appts
Review: Had a fridge delivered. Fridge was damaged, they installed anyway. Scratched my floors under fridge and is now making up lies saying I admitted to my husband doing this. The fridge was tilting back and the back wheels were not correct. There was a plastic strip on the middle of the bottom of fridge that damaged my floors when they pushed it back into its spot. They just made up lies saying I had a metal piece stuck under my fridge. All lies!!!!Desired Settlement: I want $2,000 for damages to my brand new solid hardwood flooring, or I'm going to court!

Attached please find a letter that was send to claimant by the insurance carrier that was handling the claim. As per the adjuster that was handling the claim it was determine it was a manufacturer issue not and installation issue. claimant needs to file a claim thru the manufacturer . see attached letter.

Response:
YOUR EMPLOYEES carried in a defective fridge and pushed it back into the spot. A defective fridge should have been inspected and never brought into my home. I'll just hire a lawyer and we can solve it that way.

Review: We purchased a 65" flat screen TV at [redacted] contracted Spirit to deliver our TV. Spirit's delivery team damaged our new entertainment center when delivering the TV. As soon as I discovered the damage, I contacted Spirit to file a claim. The claim was immediately denied. I made several calls to the claim department over several weeks leaving about a dozen messages. None were returned. I was able to catch someone today to further discuss the issue and they stated that the drivers are denying the claim, therefore they are denying the claim. I was told in a comical voice that I really didn't have any recourse, so I am filing a complaint with the Revdex.com to see if I can get reimbursement to simply put my entertainment center back in good standing.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement of $150 to have the entertainment center repaired by a furniture specialist.

I am rejecting this response because:
The damage was hidden under the legs of the television and was not easily seen. The delivery representatives were rushing out and did not provide my wife ample time to determine if damage had occurred. I discovered the damage upon returning home from work and contacted the company immediately. I think it is a shame that they are trying to hide behind this release.

Review: We ordered an appliance from [redacted] at [redacted] and had delivery on August 11, 2014. The delivery personnel caused damage to our home at the time of delivery, which was reported to [redacted] under Damage Claim [redacted] on August 15, 2014. The resulting claim documentation that we received was from Spirit Delivery and Distribution at the address selected for this complaint.
We completed all the forms and provided all of the information requested of us, including pictures and detailed descriptions. However, we never received any resolution for the damage in form of repair or compensation for the costs of repair. As such, our home is still damaged and we have not been made whole. We have not even been contacted with any followup at all from any parties. We have called to followup on multiple occasions and each time are promised a return call that never occurs.
At this juncture, we are seeking to hire our own contractor to remedy the damage that has been outstanding for FOUR months and want Spirit Delivery & Distribution to agree to pay the invoice in full upon receipt and to provide an appropriate address for mailing said invoice. Further documentation of this complaint is readily available for immediate review.Desired Settlement: Full payment for our painting contractor[redacted] to repair and repaint the damaged door and door frames in their entirety. The door and frame were newly painted in June 2014 by this same contractor and we do not wish our warranty with them to become void by bringing in any other contractors; and no other form of resolution has been provided. We require contact information and mailing address for [redacted] to send their invoice once the work is completed and documentation stating that the invoice will be paid in full upon receipt.

I am rejecting this response because: we have requested a quote for the repairs and will provide that to Spirit immediately upon receipt. Until Spirit has agreed to pay the cost for repairs and made arrangements to do so, we cannot accept resolution. If that occurs, we will accept thereafter.

Review: Memorial day weekend 2014 I purchased ** a dishwasher from [redacted]. Spirit was to pick up and deliver the dishwasher from the [redacted] warehouse and deliver it. May 31st - Spirit was unable to deliver my ** dishwasher b/c it was so severely damaged on the truck, AND the install "tech" came inside and turned on my water that was not connected (1st time flooding my kitchen). June 4th, spirit delivers my replacement dishwasher from **/[redacted] and installs it; it runs & Iget a 2nd flood in my kitchen. June 6th, Spirit sends a "competent tech" out to make sure it is installed correctly - they claim it was installed correctly - runs the dishwasher and I flood a 3rd time! June 12th, a ** tech come out to look at the dishwasher. Runs it and I flood a 4th time!!! He tells me to file a claim with ** Insurance (which I did) and that the NEW dishwasher is broken and they will replace with a new one. I call and ** Insurance agrees to send [redacted] out to assess the damage & insurance adjuster. ** agrees to upgrade my appliance free of charge to compensate my troubles. Spirit had a 5th attempt to deliver my NEW UPGRADED dishwasher June 28th btwn 1-5pm. I called several times to ensure they were still delivering & they said yes - at 6pm (1 hr after their delivery time elapsed), they tell me my product was damaged and they could NOT deliver it!!!!Desired Settlement: I do not understand how they can have such incompetent people working for them - no one can tell me why or how my product is getting damaged, and NO ONE calls me back with a solution or an update, or even to let me know that they cannot deliver!! It is clear they also have NO respect for the companies [redacted] & [redacted]) that they partner with and move product for.
I want them to rectify this situation IMMEDIATELY!!!! they need to figure out a SAFE - FAIL PROOF WAY to deliver my product, and all products for that matter!!!!! I expect them to be proactive in reaching [redacted] to resolve this and expedite my product ASAP!!! And I want answers as to WHY the dishwasher is always damaged!!!
I recently bought a washer/dryer from Home Depot. BIG MISTAKE! Spirit Delivery was the most horrible, unprofessional and frustrating company that I have ever dealt with! Home Depot should be ashamed of itself for using these people! First, they attempted to delivered my washer/dryer WITHOUT A POWER CORD!! Who delivers an appliance without a cord?? They said they were out of them! I refused delivery! I went back to Home Depot to complain and they acknowledged the Spirit is horrible but they could do nothing about it! Corporate Home Depot decided to use them to save money and screw the customers. Wasted time rescheduling the SECOND delivery. They came a week later. As they brought in the Washer/Dryer I asked the installer "Are the stainless steel hoses that I purchased already on there? He looked me in the eye and said YES they are". I took his word for it. After they left, I checked behind the unit for leaks and noticed that they were the regular rubber hoses that came with the unit. I tried to call Spirit back only to wait 20 minutes to be disconnected twice! I went back to Home Depot AGAIN! To get a refund for the SS hoses that I purchased and didn't receive!
The people that Spirit employ to come into your home and be around your family, look like Gang-Bangers, Thugs and tattooed X cons. Very intimidating! They have no standards! Do they actually do background checks? I noticed that not only does Home Depot use them but also Sears and Best Buy also use them, thats why based on my HORRIBLE customer service experience and lack of concern for the customer, I WILL NO LONGER BE SPENDING MY MONEY AT HOME DEPOT, SEARS OR BEST BUY! I am now strictly a Lowes customer! I'll spend my money at a company that gives me what I deserve..... customer service!
Shop at Lowes or PC Richards and avoid an almost certain horrible delivery experience! Sell your Home Depot Stocks, this company won't last long term if this is the best they can provide for its customers!
Home Depot.....Terrible customer service, no satifaction, LET'S NOT DO THIS!
Review: We purchased a large screen TV from [redacted] with delivery scheduled from Spirit Delivery. On the day of delivery, the truck backed into our driveway. The back of the truck dug into the asphalt driveway leaving large indents in the asphalt. Upon setting up the television, they knocked several photos over. Upon placing the television on the console, they put a deep scratch into the console. They never mentioned anything to me. Upon leaving they informed me that the instruction book was left on the console. I signed a document stating that the delivery was made. Upon their leaving, that was when I noticed the damage to the console as well as to the driveway. I called and was told to submit estimates for the repair. I submitted the estimates and well as pictures as requested and was told the company would be in contact with me. Several weeks later, I received a letter stating that I signed off stating that there was no damage to my property. I only signed stating that the item was delivered. I have been calling everyday now for several weeks leaving messages and have not received any response back from the company.Desired Settlement: We had the console repaired and would like to be reimbursed the $150 for the repair. We also would like to be reimbursed $300 to have the driveway repaired.
