I am very disappointed with Sono Bello and their customer service. When I came in for my consultation, the consultant (sales rep) appeared to be very nice and concerned about my issues. I put down a $500 deposit towards my procedure. We had a family emergency over the following weekend and I had to call to reschedule the procedure. The lady I spoke with said they usually charge 10% of your total procedure if you reschedule, but she would waive it if I rescheduled within the same month. She rescheduled me for the following week (this Friday). On Saturday morning I received more news about our family emergency and it would require a family member moving in with us so I called Saturday evening to at least leave a message. The girl I spoke with said she would make a note in my file, but this line was for consultation appointments only. I called today and spoke with the front desk and told her I need to cancel my appointment due to my family emergency we are still dealing with. She transferred me to the sales consultant and she said because I am canceling within 5 days of my procedure I will still be charged for the entire procedure; even though I am canceling the procedure. I sat on the phone in disbelief until I heard her say "unless I want to reschedule". I told her it is impossible for me to reschedule at this time as I dont want to get into a financial obligation that I unsure I can keep and she said "well you already rescheduled once and the financing has already been done". Again, I told her I need to cancel; Im stressed about what is going on with my family and she said I will be charged for the entire procedure even if I cancel and she HUNG UP IN MY FACE. #rude
I had already told several of my friends and family members about my upcoming procedure - now I will tell them to stay away. Nothing worse than a business or staff acting like they care but the minute you have to take care of yourself and your family first it becomes about money. Who charges patients for a procedure that they didnt have?
I will be sending something in writing to request a full refund, but I wanted to share this on this blog in hopes that someone will read it prior to getting financed at Sono Bello.
I had a lower face lift in May of 2016. I went to Sono Bello in Schaumburg IL. Dr. Kagan did the surgery. Lots of promises were made about the results and none of them came true. I look no different then I did before. Dr. Kagan damaged the arteries in my head next to my ear. It caused the blood to flow wrong and caused a huge and constant wush wush noise in my head. I had to sleep every night with a loud fan and music to try to drown it out. The neurosurgeon I went to to repair it told me it was caused by trauma to that area. The area exactly where Dr. Kagan cut. I had to have surgery to repair it and spend the night in the hospital in neuro intensive care flat on my back because they went up thru my groin into my head. I think I should get my 7,000.00 back. My hospital bills are well over 200,000.00. I’ve already contacted Sono Bello and they ignore me. I enjoyed my experience at sonobello. I had my upper/lower abs and my hips worked on and I must say I see a major difference and its only getting better with time. It is a bit pricey and you are awake and feel some discomfort at time throughout the procedure but before you know it its over and your on your way. Everyone is different so everyones discomfort level will also be different. I personally had 6 kids naturally so the pain wasn't as bad. I am happy I went through with the laser lipo to get rid of what I couldn't burn away exercising.
Review: Hi I met with Naomi at sonobello for Lipo services on my stomach. This consultation was on 6/25/16, I felt very in a rush to make a decision about the procedure as I was told that there was no availability till September. I put 1k down because I was told if I didn't I would not be able to schedule the services. I went home right away and regretted my decision as I am a college student and do not have the money. they are close today but I did call there help line and cancel the surgery.I was reading online and I have read a lot of complaints about the services and complaints and the refund policy which was never discussed nor is it displayed on there website. It states you have to cancel 14 days prior to surgery. If you are scheduled 8 days before surgery you are not provided that option. Nor did anyone go over cancellation or refund. If there policy is 14 days according to there customer complaints online then they should not be scheduling surgeries a week out because that is a win -win for them. I have contacted them by email and phone hoping to receive a refund. from the looks of there complaints does not seem like they will do so willingly.Desired Settlement: I would like my full refund back since I cancelled in the first 20 hours of scheduling. I have not received any services from them.

Thank you for sharing your concern. Our patients review and sign numerous contracts prior to us accepting any money from them. Those documents are explicit about our obligations and the patients. They include a clause that requires an independent initial agreeing that $995.00 is the minimum fee to reserve a procedure date and is non refundable. The contacts in this instance are signed. Even though Sono Bello is not obligated to refund the money given the exceptionally short period of time that occurred we have processed a refund for the customer as a customer service gesture. As such this complaint should be closed in the business favor.

Review: To whom it may concern; I am filing this complaint against Sono Bello located at[redacted]. In Jan, 2016 I signed up for a laser lipo procedure with a $100 down signing amount, during the appointment I was told that I will not have to pay the amount in full until I have procedure scheduled. I was initially suppose to get my procedure in Feb but due to some unforeseen family situation I ended up cancelling my procedure, this family crisis put me on hold financially. I rescheduled my procedure for a later date with the Consultant [redacted] at the Sacramento branch and informed her that due to this family situation it very possible that I might change it again if I am not able to be back in Sacramento for the procedure in April and confirmed that I will not be charged $614 till I actually decide to go for the surgery. I called Sono Bello Mid march and informed that I was not able to make it in April. I didn't receive any confirmation from them and finally on April 11th $614 were deducted from my bank account via EFT. It was my understanding that this payment will be only deducted before my procedure take place. On April 11, I left couple messages for [redacted] to return my call and credit my account. I finally received an email from her today on April 12th indicating she didn't had my updated phone number when I called few times and left messages with SONO BELLO messaging service with my updated new phone number. She also claimed that she never said that I had to pay the down payment before the surgery. She had no customer services skills and lack badly in explain the policies and procedures. She misinformed me about the refund policies over the phone, when I requested her to credit the amount she stated "you have signed the contract" when in fact her verbal instructions to me were contradicting. I am requesting to assist me in disputing this issue and would highly appreciate if I can be refunded the $714 which SONO Bello took via EFT from my account. Prior to Sono Bello collecting any money from our patients, they are required to review and sign a very informative and detailed financial agreement. That financial agreement states that in order to book a procedure it requires a non-refundable deposit. That notation has a separate initial point that was signed. As well, the agreement has language that allows us to charge the credit card selected at an additional point in the future, if all fees are not paid in full, if the patient elects that to be the case as was in this matter. That paragraph is also separately initialed. In summary, the charges are valid and were authorized by a signed contract and each point of contention in this complaint are contrary to the specific passages the patient signed. As a customer service gesture the deposit was refunded. This complaint should be closed in favor of Sono Bello as all charges were authorized by contract that was signed and acknowledged by the patient.

Review: My overall experience with the staff was a pleasant and professional one. I have no complaints when in comes to the customer service they provide. However, there are a couple of concerns that I do have.The below issues are issues I brought to the attention of Hayley Beattie on 2 separate occasions. In June of 2014 as well as approximately September/October of 2014. 1. I am very new to this process, and was not quite sure the questions to ask. I was clear in regards to my expectations though. Flat stomach, NO love handles, and bra roll gone. I was more than a little surprised when I came in for my first treatment, and told that it would be broken up into 2 treatments, because I was having my bra roll done as well, to optimize the fat reduction. Over9 months later, there is no obvious reduction in my bra roll, flanks, upper or lower abdomen. After a consultation my sister did with Sonobello physician, she was told that they have seen very little results with liposuction in the bra roll area. I brought that to the attention of Sonobellos personnel, and she assured me that this was untrue. Again, I have not seen any difference in that area after 9 months. 2. I was not made aware that only a certain amount of fat could be taken. I was under the impression that all fat would be removed from the areas designated, until it was flat and smooth.,which is not at all the case. Although there is fat gone, I was expecting a way better result. It has been 9 months, and I am not at all happy with the final results. 3. I am uneven in areas., abdomen, flanks, and absolutely no loss in the bra roll, my right side is smaller than my left. In summary, Sonnobello is really not clear on what is possible and what is not possible. My expectations assured by Sonnobello, do not at all match the results that I am seeing. I am following a diet plan, which was suggested.. by eating Clean Food, reducing calories, exercise 5 days a week for 45 minutes to an hour a day, + other activities, I am wearing my garment 8 to 10 hours a day, I have lost approximately 1 to 2 pants, and dress sizes, I am tittering in the middle. Althoug, I do look better in my clothes, I believe Sonnobello is not real clear on presenting the facts, of what this kind of surgery can do and cannot do. I am well aware that I am a large woman BMI 36 at the time, I was not looking to be left with the body of a goddess, but I was expecting to have a flat smooth and contoured upper and lower abdomen, and erased love handles so that I could wear my shirts, t-shirts, etc. tucked in, without the appearance of fat around the middle, and spilling from the sides. I was asked to go back in for a follow up, after sending a similar message to Sonobello, but felt why should I again waste any more of my time, money, and time off work to address something I had brought to their attention in my previous follow-ups and nothing was done or addressed at that time.All in all, I know I wasted my $7000+ dollars on a procedure that yielded zero results.I was not expecting a miracle, but definitely better results at this point. I went with Sonnobello because of the reputation I thought that they had in the industry, however I was sadly mistaken. I have had colleagues and friends as well as people I dont know contact me regarding my experience and results with Sonnobello and I had to tell them, not to waste their time or money.I am so incredibly disappointed, over all.Desired Settlement: I'd love to get a portion of my money back, but know that it is a stretch. I would also like Sonobello to be honest and forth coming with any future clients in regards to the expected outcome. I don't believe they took my money in good faith. They were dishonest in terms of the expected outcome, and guaranteed result, they knew they could not deliver on. At least in a larger person.

Review: I did go to Sono Bello after my divorce and I wanted to look better, at that time I was very vulnerable due to abuse I received from my previous husband. He was already seeing someone else and I felt that if I improved myself that I would be happier and feel better about myself but instead I have been on disability for panic attacks and depression and Sono Bello has 2 doctors notes stating that. They still have not given me a return of half the money I paid for, for the procedure. Being on disability is very hard for me but working with my condition is even harder. I am going to be honest I need that money. I have a son that is going to turn 16 and might not have money for a party which he deserves. I have been going back and fourth with Sono Bello on this issue for 4yrs. I don't understand why they just cant re-imburse my other half of my money. I am on disability under doctors orders not to have the surgery, so I guess my question would be to them what else do I need to do to get this money back!Desired Settlement: $3,364.50

All our patients when electing to sign up for our procedures review and sign an extensive set of documents that detail our obligations to our patients and their obligations to us including but not limited to our highly specific cancellation policy that is printed in bold, and specifically initialed along with the whole financial/ booking agreement. The customer in question booked their procedure, completed another appointment with us and then cancelled the procedure the day before and rescheduled it for another date. Our financial agreement in these circumstances states that cancelling the day before the procedure is cause for forfeit of all monies paid as Sono Bello is stuck with the expense of an open OR, surgeon and medical staff that were reserved for a patients procedure. As well our financial agreement does clearly state that rescheduling a procedure incurs an additional fee of 10% of the original procedure costs. Despite that, we waived the fee and rescheduled the patients appointment. The subsequent surgery was cancelled again by the patient.
We heard from the patient again nearly two months after the fact stating that there were medical concerns that required her to cancel. However, the documentation provided and story were not until two months after the original cancellation. Further, the documentation that was provided was also dated several months after the original cancellation as well indicating those concerns did not exist when the financial contract was violated. Despite the facts above we did refund a large portion of the patients fees even though per the agreement they were not entitled to those.
We have made every effort to resolve a difficult situation and have been exceptionally reasonable and understanding given the facts. Please close this complaint in the business favor and if you need documentation evidencing the information above please don't hesitate to contact me.
Naomi was very informative and kind. She listened to me and answered my concerns.
When I hit 45, it was extremely hard to drop weight doing my regular workout routines and meal plans. I was getting very frustrated. I then decided to try Sonobello. First person I met was Naomi, she was very professional, comforting, knowledgeable and helpful. I was very very eager and curious about how the whole process worked, meaning procedures offered, results expected, payment etc. She helped me with everything and I got started right away. Dr. J[redacted], transformed my body. I absolutely love the results from my banana roll!!!

I was scheduled for a pre-op on the 11/23/15 after examination Dr decided that I was not the right candidate for it. Full refund of $2970 was determined. It's been 2weeks and I have been calling but and no one responds to my call.Desired Settlement: I want my money back ASAP

Review: I made the mistake of getting a consultation with Sono Bello to find out about body conturing and during that consultation was given a lot of false promises about the results I would get and the fact that I could have an additional procedure done at little cost if I was not satisfied with the results. What was not told to me is that a doctor has to approve an additional procedure if he thinks it will improve the results.They also don't tell you how restrictive , hot and uncomfortable the garments are that you have to wear for at least a month. Also there was a lot more pain than they described and I woke up during the procedure with the assistant asking the doctor if they should give me more pain medicine. This is a very expensive procedure! My results were so minimal there was virtually no difference. When I consulted the doctor 6 months later (you have to wait that long to achieve maximum results) he told me that I really was not an ideal candidate for this because I didn't have that much fat on my body. He said an additional procedure wouldn't change anything!! I was devastated and knew I had wasted my money. Their advertising and promises are bogus and they are misleading people by saying they will see results the same day. Outrageous!!Desired Settlement: I would like to get half of my money back because they did not deliver on their promises.

All of your patients prior to undergoing their procedure meet with their physician to learn in detail what is possible and impossible with this procedure and sign an extensive series of forms that provide in detail what is possible and impossible with this procedure including the fact that there are no guarantees with this procedure as results can and will vary. In this particular case we can insure you all such forms are signed. As well the fact that the patient has stated in their writing that they did in fact see results. Our records indicate a significant amount of fat was removed. Even though the patient confirms in her writing that she did have results we would be open to having her visit with one of our physicians and would be agreeable to offering an additional procedure to remove more fat if medically warranted at a highly discounted rate as a customer service gesture.
Unless you are a person with very little fat, do not go to Sono Bello. Although he staff seems pretty nice and attentive, the procedure itself yields no real results for heavier persons. Although the physicians and staff guarantee that you will see awesome results, this claim just is not true. I was left with the same fat, in my abdomen flanks and bra roll, as well as uneven in my flanks, and abdomen with bumps and rolls, etc. I 9 months post my procedure and saw no real results after spending approximately $8745. Sono Bello can not do with they promise with everyone
