Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
This is the same response we have been hearing for monthsWe get random cooresoondence from various representatives stating that the issue is being looked in to, and that we will be contacted as soon as it is resolvedThis process has been going on for months
The last coorespondence via email, is requesting once again, verification of payments from my bankWe have provided this information already, but due to the fact Solar City keeps changing case workers on our account, we are being asked to take time out of our busy schedules, to once again provide proof of payments which they have lost
They did say that they were going to send us one months payment for the inconvienenceI'll believe it when I see the check
I have spent eat to much of my time attempting to help prove a mistake that Solar City has made
I fully regret doing business with this company
Sincerely,*** ***
SolarCity has exchanged emails with our customer twice since 6/29-- once on 7/and again on 7/11-- with an action plan to reimburse for $***The payment is currently being processed and will be sent out shortlyThe customer acknowledged this in an email on July Please call 888-765-with further questions
We do apologize for our customer's frustrationsA Customer Relations Manager will reach out to him shortly
Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/12/16) */
We apologize for the frustrating circumstances surrounding this customer's experienceSolarCity completed a system performance review in OctoberCompared to the historical energy consumption provided to the energy consultant, our customer has
increased their annual consumption in excess of 1787kWh, resulting in overall higher utility billsSolarCity is only able to offset up to a historically substantiated amountOur customer presented us with annual energy consumption information that indicated yearly consumption to be approximately 8662kWhThusly, SolarCity designed a system estimated to produce approximately 8505kWh per annum, resulting is a projected 98% electrical energy offsetAs our customer's usage has increased, the estimated offset has decreasedSolarCity guarantees system production, and not offset percentages, as it is outlined in our agreementIf our customer would like to look into a secondary system to offset this increased consumption, we may be able to accommodatePlease call XXX-XXX-XXXX with further questions
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/12/31) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept Solar City's response to my complaintSolar City's response just proves my point that they are unwilling to do anything more than looking at my electricity bills and concluding from those bills that for some reason I have drastically increased my electricity usage since having solar panels installedAnyone could draw that same conclusion without some fancy statistical performance reviewWhat Solar City is not willing to do is determine what went wrong in the installation that has caused an electricity drain and thus increased my usageI have not in any way increased my personal electricity usage, and I feel I am getting zero benefit from the solar panelsI cannot understand why Solar City was extremely eager to perform a site visit while they were trying to gain my business, but have become completely unwilling to determine what went wrong in the installation after the contract is signedAs long as they are getting their money, they do not care about the customer at allI regret ever having initiated contact with Solar CityIn their next response, if there is a next response, I hope they will provide a reason for their resistance to physically inspect their system at my home, and determine what had caused this energy drain

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: No one has contacted me yet, and I received my bill, and again
there's a past due amount of $*** added to the total I mailed my payment to you *** **, in plenty of time for you to post my payment by the due date, but again it took you over weeks to post payment THIS IS NOT MY VAULT THAT YOU CAN"T DO YOUR JOB PROPERLY, EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY, SO STOP ADDING BOGUS FEES TO MY BILL!!!! Like I said before if I continue to have problems with the billing dept., I WANT THE PANELS REMOVED!! I'm sure I can find a more trust worthy and reliable solar company out there to replace you And P.SI just mailed you my next bill today, minus the $***, so you should have plenty of time to post my payment.Sincerely,*** ***
Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
Solar City has been aware of our intent to sell our house since about May 2017. There were are we sold the property on August 11, and yet continued to bill us. We have received "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" but not until we reached out to Revdex.com did someone in authority contact us. That person has contacted us times and we STILL have NOT yet had the issue resolved. If I had been this late in making a payment I would have been severely penalized with late fees. It is now December 21, 2017. I do not understand why they cannot look at their records and see where they over-billed us. They should have to pay a late fee for every month this went unresolved (since August 11, 2017).Sincerely,*** ***

A customer relations manager reached out on 9/24/** to address and we are currently reviewing the account for resolution
This manager will reach back out today to update the customer
Over a year ago, I was contacted by a Solar City rep after being referred by a friendAfter the inspection, it was clear I needed to have a re-roof done before the panels went upSince it was transitioning to winter and I Iive in the Northwest, it was decided that I would do that around March/AprilIn the months leading up, I was regularly harassed by their reps about moving forwardAt one point, I finally said that I would not be moving forwardI was tired of the harassmentA new rep contacted me and after a discussion where I repeated the fact that I would not waste several months of my service to poor weather and wanted my first year to take maximum advantage of the sun, it was decided that a re-roof in April, the timeframe I was told would ENSURE me being active by the end of JuneI paid $7,cash to have a new re-roof done in March on a roof that probably had three more years leftIt is now mid-July and I am still "awaiting funding"The panels have been on my roof for over two monthsAll local electrical inspections have been doneyet, Solar City has done NOTHINGAfter a very angry call, I was told that this funding was going through on the 30th of JuneThat day passed and then I was told "Per our previous conversation we were supposed to receive Solar Fund approval todayThe Solar Fund your project was assigned too has been pushed back and should receive approval on the 7th of July." I finally emailed this rep after that day passedThe answer I received from Trent Dantzig, my supposed Solar Concierge Supervisor? "Our Solar Fund has sadly changed dates multiple times as you've seen per my email updatesI wanted to ensure you had the same information I didI am currently out of the office on vacation; but I know we are trying to push to get approval as soon as possible." And guess what? Still nothingThis company shows a complete lack of regard for its customersThere are other companies in competition with Solar CityI suggest looking them upThey CAN'T be worse

On **
*** *** I received a phone call from Solar City The tone was borderline rude and very corporate and legalistic The basis of the call was short, if I did not have in writing that I would receive $*** for being referred by our friends, then we would not receive the $*** End of story When I asked that Solar City do something called "Due Diligence" concerning the "Referring Party", and look into why the people who referred us did not get their $***, I was told that they would have to look into it themselves, and that Solar City would not look into it any further
This is a corporation behaving poorly to make a profit at all costs, without regard to ethics or morals I was very upset with this phone call, but I was able to control my anger, and not use any foul language, and I was able to treat the person who called me with respect, but I made myself very clear that I did not agree with his position, and that I was lied to by Solar City But of course, he stood his ground and would not help out any furtherSo as far as I am concerned, this is not a closed case, but an open one This is because Solar City lied to me and my wife, and will not due the honorable thing and make it right I cannot condone the business practices of Solar City.Sincerely,*** ***
