I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Sallie Mae scammed me out of hundreds of dollars over a six-month period while I was in college. I dropped out due to them and the interest they accrued on my account. The loan was completely payed off on February 27th of this year, yet when I logged in on February 28th, they charged me over $43 in interest! Shocked and confused at the situation, I called them and argued with a representative for half an hour. He insisted interest was charged because they hadn't charged me for that month yet. He said interest accrues daily. This is a bunch of bull, and me and Sallie Mae both know this! You CANNOT charge someone interest when there is no principle amount to calculate an interest charge! Desiring to get them off of my back, I gave in, and payed the $43.68 in interest. However, I want them to refund me the $43.68 they scammed me out of. It was not right for them to play games with me, and I will discourage all my friends and everyone else for the rest of my life from using Sallie Mae for anything. This was a horrible experience with a horrible company.

This is still an open issue as there was only a placeholder payment put on my account until the payment is fully processed. Until the payment is retroactively applied to 10/28/2014, this matter is not resolved. The retroactive posting is required to ensure I receive back payment of the interest that has been applied to the account since the date the payment was supposed to be posted. (10/28/2014).

Regards,
Spoke to the customer over the phone. Advised her that there are no late fees on either of her accounts and that she is set up for auto pay. Customer said she had realized this as well after contacted the Revdex.com, however felt our new website was...
confusing and not user friendly. She also said the first time she called customer service about this, she received little help. Apologized for this and told her we are working to improve our website and I made sure she had the number to reach my department directly. Customer also asked what her payments will be after her grace period ends. We provided the customer with these amounts. Customer was satisfied.

The letter states that I requested a reduced monthly payment to be no higher than 10% of my gross income. I DID NOT REQUEST THAT as I know that is not an option with private loans. I merely said, I would appreciate a reduction, whatever that amount may be because I know that you do not follow federal student loan guidelines. Therefore, Sallie Mae's offer of paying $50.00 good faith payment to obtain a forebearance is unacceptable.
This was resolved with the customer over the phone on November 24, 2014 Customer was happy with explanation.
