Problem:
I previously made this exact same complaint on March 4, 2016, it was complaint ID *** I was told that they were fixing everything on my account, which they still have not doneStarting around June of 2015, I made my payment amount on my private student loans $225, which is higher than my monthly amount due by over $per monthThat extra $should be applied ONLY to loan ending in -3818, NOT spread out amongst all the loansThis is now the 4th or 5th time I have tried to get this resolvedTranslate
Desired Outcome:
Go back to June of 2015, unapply incorrect payments and REAPPLY as specifiedMake the exact payment that was due for all private loans and apply the extra $to loan -Translate
Made two payments and not one them went throughNot my choice of being with this companyOriginally loans were with Sallie Mae but then were switched over to this companyNot to mention they do not have the option to pay by any type of debit/credit cardNor give you the option to pay off a loan in advanceIf you do decide to do this, the payment is spread out over the months (to the original monthly payments they ask of you.)

I am not satisfied with the letter from NavientThey are still scamming money from people that have none to giveThey are twisted with their wording to manipulate the situation to capitalize on the gainThey will continue to get the most negative experience from me and do not wish to "accept" there pathetic excuse for the reason they stole money from me
I am currently on the rate reduction program through Navient, which was transferred from Sallie Mae when Navient took over their student loans I have recurring monthly payments that get taken out of my checking account Bank statements show the payments however, every statement from Navient shows nothing I noticed this right away and called customer service (noting the long wait times shared by Sallie Mae's service) and after a long confusing discussion about how it's that my payments aren't showing up in the system, that there's nothing to fix and no need to worry
Apparently, it takes three months to "prove yourself" in the rate reduction program and then your statements will reflect your payments, which had also been showing late fees months passed and my statements did not show payments I thought I had proved myself
January 26th, I received a PDF from Navient that said, "Your Delinquency May Be Reported to the Consumer Reporting Agencies" and went on to show a total of $that I owed them to make my account currentSo I paid them their $and proceeded with my day
I called a total of times The first three told me the same deal as before, just keep paying and everything will be ok The fourth (I called on February 16th) says that it's a problem and that she will take care of it, but call back in a week to make sure everything's processed I called the fifth on February 23rd (today) and told my story again She said that it looked like it was cleaned up and that I'm all current again I asked again about the letter I'd received about Navient reporting the delinquencies to Credit Agencies She told me that they actually had been reporting them since September!
I've been assured that they're sending a letter to the their Consumer Reporting Agency to adjust the mistakes I was told that it takes about days to process, but to just keep checking on my credit I asked for documentation so that I know it was done, and they can't do that They can't send emails outside of their Company Can I get a letter? No
I don't really know what to say Where do you go with this? Sallie Mae was bad when you didn't make your huge monthly loan payments, but Navient makes it even more challenging when you're trying hard to pay them When they've made an error, why can't I receive documentation of it so I can protect myself?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThe gentleman I spoke with *** *** apologized numerous times about their errors in reporting and promise to correct these plus years of erroneous reporting to all bureaus. He stopped sort of making that correction in writing as asked and when viewed my report there were still errors reporting even this month as derogatorynot like before of even the from last month. The problem is there or reporting. One needs to be deleted for as he discussed is being reported in errorand the other that are mine with a balance of just over 1300.oo dollars and being paid as agreed be removed from negative to positive sanding. They are not laet and being paid as agreed. This is still being reported incorrectly. Since the corrections so far my score has jumped points in one day. So how much did this impact my score and ability to receive credit offers in the past or affect the interest rates offered to me f I did even receive credit at all. This is non short of criminal that they are allowed to hold our credit hostage and offer only an apology like so what who cares they should be held accountable for all of our losses as well since they caused the hardship through countless errors and oversight. I want this off now and my status for my loans change to pad as agreed immediately like they stated...also how can you report an account as not paid as agreed when I was in deferment . This was confirmed by the supervisor that I spoke to in the beginning that told me to file a report here and follow up with escalations and to get an advocate involved. Go figure that I'm back here again with the same half corrected issues

I have been a Sallie Mae loan holder since August of I took out a loan of $to pay for my first year of schoolOver the past years (it's now going into December of 2016), I have made faithful interest and principal payments while in and out of school -- every single month, keep that in mindWhen my grace period ended after graduation, my payments went up along with ALL of the other loans I have and NAVIENT refused to lower payments
I put my loans into forbearance for months, when that ended, I started to make payments of $a month as opposed to the $they were requesting because I could not/cannot afford itI called Navient to explain to them my situation and the response I got was nothing short of appalling, ignorant and demeaningI wish I had written down this collection employee's numberI told her that I can afford to make payments of $a month, but that was itShe snorted and asked me, "Your payment is only $a month, how can you not afford that?" I said, "Excuse me? Don't ask me how I can 'ONLY' afford $a month on such a small paymentWith my income, I cannot afford it." She then proceeded to badger me about when I planned on getting a better job with higher incomeI was so upset, I asked her to transfer me to the financial department in which she paused and said, "Transfer you to who? I am collectionsThere is no one else to talk to." I said, "Why is the collection department answering incoming calls and saying they're general help then?" To which she paused and sighedShe would pause from time to time up to (my fiancé and I clocked it) seconds to make ME feel like a mn and fill the quiet
Please know that if you make any payment what so ever lower than what they want you to pay, it's considered NO PAYMENT for that month and you WILL go into delinquency! I asked her to explain this and she told me there was nothing to explain -- she was clearly irritated that I continued to ask questionsI was eventually (with a fight) transferred to a supervisor whose number is 72596, a woman, and she explained to me that unless I tracked down my father, had him call and submit every bit of financial background as well as detailed expense reports, there was no moving forward in an attempt to lower my paymentsShe made sure to say, "That's a lot of work for us to do and you do toIt's a lot of work to go through all of that when you could make the $a month and choose your own due date instead." Their solution was to move my due date a week LATER than beforehandfor a payment I cannot payI asked them would it be better if I just didn't pay at all then instead of giving the little that I could and she said, "You have to pay the full amount." Okay, thanks for the no help
I have made faithful payments for years and ask that because I am such a loyal customer, I receive help on lowering my payments that does not involve forbearance or delinquencyHow can a company turn down a customer so willing to make a payment, period? There is no way it is acceptable for a business to belittle their customers the way that rep did to meI will never be able to express enough how regretful I am of ever taking out a loan with this joke of a corporation
