We came out to a property owed by the customer, tenant opened the door and we proceeded to diagnose their system. It was an old system r-22 refrigerant and used a electricity for heating. You can no longer use electricity as primary source of heat and we needed to change the system to a heat pump.... We provided a system replacement estimate for total of $6,000, upon it's acceptance we took $500 deposit Ck# [redacted] and set up a replacement date and time (The service call was never charged). On the date of the installation, crane company was running late and we were forced to lift it by hand in order to make all our appointments, we send another technician to the property and paid crane cost to our installers who did raise the unit to the roof. When the job was completed customer refused to pay to the installers and asked for [redacted] the original technician to call him, [redacted] did as customer asked and we tried to run the card for the balance of $5,500, however the credit card was not going through. We advised customer to call his Credit Card to clear the funds, they did and we charged the balance. If for any reason customer has any problems with equipment installed they can contact us, as they are under a warranty. See picture attached of what technician left behind when he accepted a deposit for the job.

We came out the the customers home and found that refrigerator needed extensive maintenance, the condenser which is located on the top of the refrigerator was completely cloggedWe proposed an estimate and up on acceptance proceed with a repairThe ice maker was not operating at the time since the temperature in the unit was not cold enough to freeze the ice and in some models ice maker has a thermostat installed inside where in the case temperatures are not as low as it should be the ice maker will not turn on at allThe repair we performed were done at the top of the refrigerator where we had no need to work inside of either fresh food or freezer unitsCustomer called for a recall stating that the ice maker was not working, we came out and provide an estimate on repair, at that time customer claimed that our technician broke the ice makerAt the time of initial service we would have no way to check ice maker operations since the temperature in the fridge was not cold enough yet after repairOur technician did not break any ice makers at the time of service, we simply don't have the need to do that.Thank you

Dear Mr. [redacted] ***,This notice is in response to your letter dated August 24, 2017 with regard to the Bank of America check in the face amount of $155, I stopped payment of this check for the following reasons:Your company, called "Reliable Appliance", dispatched a technician to my homé on Thursday, July 6, 2017. The technician's name was ***. He inspected my refrigerator, but completed no repairs. [redacted] provided an estimate of $443.80and promised me and my wife that the parts would be ordered and he wouldreturn the following Tuesday, July 11 2017 to complete the repairs.Tuesday, July 11 , 2017 came and went with not a single visit or phone call from your company. It was on this day that I started making several calls between July 11 and July 17, 2017. My phone records will reflect that I repeatedly attempted to call your company and ensure that your company was going to complete the jobfor which had initiated payment in the form of a deposit of $155. This deposit to be used as a down payment for parts and labor, and the refrigerator wassupposed to be repaired on 7/11/2017. I recall attempting to reach your company by phone four times alone on Monday, July 1 7, 2017.Each time diat I contacted "Reliable," I was told by your female receptionist that [redacted] would call me back. No one from your company ever retumed my telephone calls. Your company left me with a broken refrigerator and I lost over $400 worth of meat, vegetables, and dairy products. I am 87 years of age and my wife is 83 years old. I am a retiree on a fixed income who goes to dalysis 3 tirnesa week. We depend on our refrigerated food to sustain our nourishment and keep our food and/or medicine cool as required. This one-sided businessexchange caused my family undue stress and financial hardship. I do not have the disposable income to pay for a job that is not completed as promised. I do notknow how you manage your business, but your business became "Unreliable." It is very unprofessional and completely unacceptable for an appliance repair company such as "Reliable" to take advantage of the elderly and disabled, and I am outraged by this awful experience. The fi• st time I heard from your company since July 6, 2017 was from your letter dated August 24, 2017. Your letter specified that I was to "refrain from calling our office to resolve" this matter. Your business practices are appalling!After my repeated unsuccessful attempts to contacl 'Reliable Appliance," I had no choice but to hire anofrer company to repair my refrigerator. I have been a respectfulcitizen of fis country for many decades, and I have worked hard and raised my family to be decent and law-abiding citizens. I am thoroughly disgusted with your company and your business practices. I will not be bullied to pay you for a job that you did not complete. I should not have to waste my time to write you this letter. These are my sunset years. I suggest that you take fre time and talk to whomever on your staff was supposed to complete my job and investigate why an 87 year Old customer would be so upset over the complete silence of your company over a seven-week span from uly 6, 2017 to August 24, 2017. They never told me that they couldn't put electric heater back in instead had to put in a heat pump. They lied to me and said the "coil" was missing from my heater and the one removed still had the coil in it. Besides, the unit they put back in is not a heat pump but an electric heater like the original one that was removed. They did charge $50 for a service call and I paid [redacted] cash. It was never deducted from my bill and I never received a refund. These people take advantage of the elderly and people who trust and believe in them. All they want is as much money as they can take from you. Not a reputable company. Regards, [redacted]

You've received a response with an update within hours of reaching out to us as per instructions on the back of the invoice. It is... unfortunate you've waited four weeks to do so. Nevertheless, services have been rendered in accordance with our agreement.

I recently had a great experience with this company I worked with Mike on a significant repair for my built in refrigeratorThey were very quick to respondHe talked us through the options and were very knowledgeableTheir proposal was the most competitiveThey made the repair a priority as they understood how important it was to get it working quickly and were so flexible at working around my scheduleFollow up was awesome and timelyI will use them again when I am in need of any appliance repair and would highly recommend them!
