Regal Cigs Reviews (314)

Review: This company had a survey advertising the e-cig for $4.95. I did the survey and the money was taken from my bank account, I then received an e-mail that this was for a 14 day trial period. I called this company and was told that my debit card would be charged $119 for the starter kit and I would receive new filters (cartomizer) every 30 days. I called this company explaining my situation and was told I would be charged a 20% restocking fee. I was told that I should have checked out their website before doing the survey and that it wasnt the companys fault that I hadn't done so.Desired Settlement: Allow me to ship the product back at my expense, no restocking fee. and no further contact or charges to me also cancel any club membership with this company.

Dear [redacted]

Review: 2 months ago about October 1st. I got a email promotion about free starter kit. I then get the kit for free by go to Regal Cigs website and give my shipping info. I gave them my credit card they said just for verify shipping. Since then after a month they start to charge me $119.95 on Oct 3rd and $69.90 on Nov 4th 2013, and $69.90 on Dec 4th 2013. Total $259.75 they charge me. I didn't expect to get this kind of scam. It charge my credit card without my approval. I haven't even open each package that they send me. I'm not a smoker just to begin with I just see it free try I didn't expect to get this. I call them up they said those transaction already past one month you cannot return or do anything. When I get the first package I was thinking that it was free the second one just to get me hook or something still all of the package I haven't try to open yet. They scam me good.Desired Settlement: I want to return the product that was unopen unused. For a full refund. I didn't expect the free thing to turn out at this expensive price. I didn't approve my credit card to be charge for that amount at all. The name was me, I just use my credit card which they said to assure the shipping address.

Dear [redacted],

Review: I ordered a starter kit from this company for $4.95 on Sept.1, 2013 and received it 10-12 days later. [return policy I found out later is 14 days] Going thru the sign up process there is about 15+ pop up offers you have to trudge thru. I read them all and DECLINED all of them because I wanted to try it FIRST! NO where in any of the signup did I see ANYTHING that let me know there would be a recurring Bill of $119.95 or I would NEVER have signed up for it and neither would anyone else. [I know now it is stipulated in their "terms & conditions"] However, I never saw anything remotely like that in or thru the sign up process. Something that stringent should be front and center and I believe this to be nefarious sign up and business conduct bordering on bait and switch!

I went to my useless bank, Wells Fargo, that simply went on to regal cigs site and only looked at the terms and conditions and said I have no complaint. They did NOT go thru the process that 99% of potential customers would have, with all the pop ups of side tracking offers before you finally get to the final credit card pageDesired Settlement: I want my full refund of $119.95 and punitive damages as well as a public apology for deceiving visitors to their site. I want them to pay a very large fine to the FTC or something of that nature. That is the only thing these scam artists understand. Hit them in the wallet! I thought this Administration with their Consumer Protection bureau's along with the State of California's would move to stop these outrageous business practices. But I have gotten no where. They are just a bunch of overpaid, lazy bureaucrats living off the public dole. I am so glad you are here!

Dear [redacted],

Review: The advertisement is misleading, it says the customer will get a 80% of cost of savings. The advertisement gives the impression that the starter kit will cost you only $3.96, but the billing agreement says in 14 days you will be charge for the stater kit, but they don't tell you how much you will be charge for, plus they tell you if you decide to return the product, you must first contact customer service and obtain an RMA code, and all returns must be within 30 days of purchase which that it's self is misleading, which is it 14 days or 30 days? I purchase the product on Nov. 16, 2014, and then I noticed I was being charged for $119. 95 for the starter kit on my debt card on Dec. 5, 2014. I called customer service and asked them why was being charged for $119.95, they told me after the 14 days trail period I will be charged for the starter kit, but they told me they can cancel my membership and I would not be charged for anything else. They also don't tell you that the 14 day period starts when you purchase the product on line, and then they tell you your product delivery will take up to 2-4 business days, but that will be less then 14 days if I decide to cancel the order which is unfair for the customer and misleading of the 14 day period.Desired Settlement: I have copies of my order from emails they sent me, the billing and membership information is totally misleading as far as not telling me how much I was going to be charged for the starter kit. The refund which is confusing it states 30 days to return all products which I would think it would include the starter kit. I'm not a smoker and this was suppose to be a gift. I feel the advertisement was misleading to the average person, and would like to return the product back which is still in the package not used, and like to receive my money back.

Dear [redacted],

Review: On February 5th 2015 I received a popup online stating it was for [redacted] customers for a gift for completing a survey, I just had to pay shipping and handling. I completed the survey and was given 3 options, I chose the Regal e-cig starter pack. I payed for the shipping on 2 of these packs and two weeks later I saw 2 charges of $119.95 but apparently only one of them went through (the 2nd was declined for an unknown reason). I called Regal's customer service and they told me that the charge was for the starter packs that I ordered on the 5th and that if I returned them there would be a 20% restocking fee. I told the agent that the price and restocking fee were not disclosed at the time of purchase. The agent promised that it was. I took screen shots of each screen (website) as I made my purchase so after the call I reviewed them and there was no mention of a 20% restocking fee and the only mention of a $119.99 charge was for a refill pack of 10 cartridges. This was in very faint lettering. Nothing about an additional charge for the starter packs which I was led to believe from the beginning was a gift.

I can send you copies of the screen shots if needed.Desired Settlement: I will return the 2 starter packs even though I was led to believe they were a gift for completing the online survey (one is opened the other is not). I would like a full refund and I would like Regal to pay the return shipping for the starter packs. If I must budge a little on these terms I would consider paying the return shipping.

Dear [redacted],

I was surfing Southwest airlines and this survey came on. Then they offered a product for shipping charges. Little did I know what the terms were hiding in them, I was excited about the product. Luckily I never received the product so I called and they still wanted to bill me. The refused to return the shipping cost as they were unable to get it to me. Anyways, long story short, do not, I repeat DO NOT fall for this. Block this site.

Review: They sell $4.95 starter kit for E-cigarettes then bill $119 for a full kit. They put this in tiny print so we don't see it and the list of scam reports is a mile long. If they sent it out they will accept a return, but charge return shipping plus a 20% restocking fee. So starter kit of $4.95 ends up costing $22.94 over the $4.95. Check online and you'll see pages of complaints. No address given on their web pages. Only address I have is the place to return (which could be anywhere and not their actual business). My bank account is now overdrawn due to this scam.Desired Settlement: Track them down and make them provide full info up front when they advertise their $4.95 kit. They are raking in $$$ from thousands of people wanting to quit smoking. Scammers for sure.

Dear [redacted],

Review: I saw Regalcigs promotion when I purchased an airline ticket at the end of Nov 2013. It said that the promotion only costs $4.95 shipping. It made me feel like I got a gift and one-time only deal. However, I was shocked when I saw my credit card statement that I was charged $119.95. I called Regalcigs immediately and I was told that I have signed the terms and I have passed the 14 days return period. (on the 16th day when I called) The representative said I can ship it back and get 50% refund. I told her that your company misrepresented the ads and she just kept saying I signed the form online. Well, I think if your product is so good, why did you need to hide those facts into a small claims and terms? You should stand behind your product. I then requested to talk to a supervisor and she told me that no one was available. I said I expected a call back within 48 hours and of course no one never called me back. I have never touched this product and thought there is no way I am the only consumer who has this issue. I finally found Revdex.com and see so many people have the same issue. This company should not do this to the consumers and I see it as a scam. It is terrible and wastes everyone's time. Tell the consumer what exactly we will be charged! Don't hide in the small letters! That is wrong and it should be banned! I will fight and blog this kind our behavior until I get my full refund.Desired Settlement: Full refund. Product is brand new and never used.

Dear [redacted],

Review: I bought this as a gift ad on groupon that stated a starter kit for electronic cigarettes for $4.95. I purchased it on 12/30/13 and was charged on 12/31/13. I received the product 10 days later it was a box with 1 portapack, 1 battery, 5 cartomizers, 1 wall charger, 1 usb charger, and 1 user manual. I gave the product to my brother as a gift. On 1/13/14 I was charged $119.95. I received my bill called Regal Cigs on Sunday, February 23. I spoke with a lady who said she could not access my account at the time because the computers were down. I explained I bought this and thought it was only $4.95. I said on the page it never said another fee. She said sometimes it is not listed if there is not enough room on the pop up box. She told me to call back and I could return the product but would be out the restocking fee. I called my credit card company and was advised another fee in the amount of $84.90 was charged to my account. I just received 2 boxes (10 cartomizers). I called regal cigs and advised my brother never used the set and want to return it. I never was aware I would be charged the $119.95 plus an additional $84.90. Why would anyone pay $84.90 for 10 cartomizers. The man told me he could only accept the second shipment for 1/2 the amount. I advised him I don't want the product or service and would also contact my credit card to dispute the fee. I never felt I was aware of the fees upfront. I do not want the product and received the RMA # to send back everything. I feel that this is a scam and the terms are hidden and not clear upfront.Desired Settlement: To have my credit card refunded.

Dear [redacted],

Review: received an email claiming 100% money back guarantee, and 100% customer satisfaction guarantee; along with an offer for $4.99 shipping and handling ONLY, to receive a free starter kit (vapor nicotine cigarette product).

clicked the email link, and was directed to the signup page for the product. This signup page displays various glamours and truths about how smoking in public can be replaced with this product, and how much media fanfare surrounds the issue of vaporizer cigs as a better alternative to smoking.

the email literally says "free starter kit" - I have saved this email for purposes of evidence. This email shows the guarantees, and leads to the signup sheet, which claims ONLY $4.99 shipping and handling.Desired Settlement: After this incident, I have had the time to look up several types of complaint and rant blogs that all deal with this problem. A lot of other people feel as I do that this is false advertisement or a scam outright; I want simply to get my money back, and be done with this issue. I understand there may be return shipping and restocking fees; I volunteer return shipping of product is acceptable, but I would bother to argue over restocking fees because this bait and switch routine should invalidate the whole purchase and or order. I believe that since this company DOESN'T warn the consumer immediately "If you arrived on this page from etc etc - please be warned etc etc" that it makes them completely responsible for actually relying on this to prey on customers; ANY company who does legal transactions etc, and finds anything amiss or misleading that hijacks their ads, or other means of customer appeal; usually sues the party for whatever reason; and or finds a workable solution to "fix" the broken parts.

From what I have read on some of these forums and blogs, this very email bait and switch has happened many, many times since on or before 2009; and that by now this company and or its support staff are VERY aware of the issue.

I'm a disabled USMC vet on pension, so my income isn't very large, and this cut and switch charge costs me approx 12% of my monthly income. After rent and utilities etc are paid, I'm lucky if I have 15% left each month, with which to contribute to groceries, and other types of expenses.

I think perhaps this company should legally be forced to revamp its advertising, and penalties should be issued per complaint, for the continued use of this type of tactic. 5 years of continued use of this system (in my opinion) shows a certain level of culpability and or knowledge and or reliance on this method of bait and switch.

Called back to the RegalCigs 1-800 on or about Apr. 4-5th to make CERTAIN My account was closed.

Asked them again, for riembersment; answer was "no."

Mentioned filing a complain with the Revdex.com; was put on hold.

The lady on the phone took maybe 45 secs to come back onto the phone - then I was given a return of merchandise (RMA) POST HASTE with no bantering.

The refund to my cred card/debit has shown on my bank account as of Apr. 7th.

I sent the product back priority tracking with bubble-wrapping, on Apr. 5th

Tracking is USPS # [redacted] est. dlvry. = Mon 04/07/14

The card used for this debit is now "Destroyed" and I'm having another one issued from the bank.

This concludes my complaint, except of course for records purposes.

Hopefully this can perhaps be used for other legitimate customers to persue getting the scam revoked - aka "how to"

I release this website from ANY and all legal bindingd etc, and they can use this case as a demonstration "DIY" do yourself how-to, as long as my screen name =

Review: Mor info for complaint #[redacted].

Regal has sent me an email that states that they are only going to refund $59.95 of the original $69.90 that they charged me for order # 439281 which was a 2 ounce package of refills of their product. That means that they charge $9.95 for shipping and handling of a 2 Ounce package that I returned UNOPENED!

Their company rep refuses to refund any of the shipping and handling charges, even though the amount of these charges, like the rest of the scam they are doing with false and misleading advertising, is no where disclosed in the advertising that I got that I fell for back in September of this year.

Please help the public be aware of the false and misleading advertising that Regalcigs.com uses resulting in the robbery of so many persons like myself as evidenced by the many people that have taken the time to contact you and to publish their disgust with blogs like [redacted]Desired Settlement: Refund the shipping charges for product that I was tricked into and never ordered. namely refill cartridges for an ecig that I did not like right away but did not get enough information from the advertising to understand what I was going to be charged for a "FREE SAMPLE" much less that I was agreeing to some kind of reoccuring shippments like this one was.

Dear [redacted],

Review: I can't believe I fell for this. Took a survey and "won" a free e cigarette kit. Pay shipping and handling only. Wrong! Didn't catch it until today, but back on Feb. 17 noticed that they took 119.95 from my checking account. Today I get an email that says my refills have been shipped and my bank account was again debited another 93.91. I'm sure that somewhere there were terms and conditions, but I didn't see them. They do their best to obscure them as much as possible. I'm thinking "I'm taking a survey for [redacted] this is legit. I'm sure that I'm not alone on this one!Desired Settlement: I'll send the refills back. That's the (93.00 one) for a refund, although I doubt they will honor that. I've read that they charge a re stocking fee, and I pay for shipping. But I definitely want that 119.00. back. That's just pure deception.

Review: An ad for a free sample for ecigs popped up my laptop under the guise of a CVS (pharmacy) generated offer. I signed up for the free sample thru this ad for $1.99 plus shipping of $3.96 on 2/2/15. I received the sample and than was charged an additional $119.95 for auto shipping of product that I never received nor did I see any language indicating that I was signing a contract for future product. I notified my credit card - CapitalOne - and we are disputing the charges. The 888 number for getregalcigs.com disconnects upon calling. I had to spend numerous hours on the phone setting up the dispute. My heart breaks for the elderly and others who do not have the means, time or confidence to fight the charges and the unethical sales tactics of these companies. Please shut these people down or advice me on what I need to do to shut these people down. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I spoke with my credit card company - CapitalOne - and we are disputing the charges. Can we set up a Class Action against this company?

I would rather keep smoking cigarrettes and die a slow, painfull death from cancer, than use this product.Desired Settlement: I will GLADLY return the "starter kit (minus the 'used' porstion(one cartomizer)) I just want the $119 dollars back for said "starter kit" KEEP THE INITIAL $4.95 SHIPPING, TAKE YOUR DAMNED 20%. Dear [redacted],

Review: I ordered a regal cig after listening to a radio promotion saying the product was a tester for $4.99. I called to send it back and they said I could get my confirmation number and send it back no problem. I then noticed a deduction from my bank account of $.96 on January 15 2014 on the same day another transaction came out of my bank account for $119.95 . I called them back and was told that I had now missed the return window and was being charged for a box of filters that was on the was. I asked why when I had called in and cancelled it weeks ago she said it had already been shipped and they should have told me when I called last time that I could just send back cartridges for full refund. After receiving the cartridges I had my caregiver call back to get confirmation of cancellation and address to resend. I did not open it still haven't, was told that it is a restalking fee of 20% and I had to pay return shipping. They also said that this would be a separate charge of $85.00 for these cartridges on top of the $119. She said if I took it today I could get a 50% refund of the $69.99 shipping was not included in the 50% refund and I would not have to return it. Im so confused and they keep taking money out of my bank card even though the products cancelled. My caregiver suggested I contact you because of the false advertisement and they told her different than they told me. What if anything can I do? Don't want this to happen to any other older American.Desired Settlement: Would like them to never be able to lie to someone else and charge their card over $200.00 for a e-sig like they did me. We seniors are continually bombarded by these money steeling parasites.

Dear [redacted],

Review: This corporation sets a horrible example for customer services. They scam you into purchasing a set up kit of their product for a small fee. Then AFTER you make the purchase, they send you a confirmation which THEN tells you that in order to evade the later coming of your card being charged for $120 , you must call to have it removed within 14 days time. If they would include that in the initial advertisement of the product, I would never have purchased it. I was not informed prior to the purchase which entales that I would be opening myself up to later commitment with out agreeing to it. When I noticed the charge on my account, I called to inquire. While speaking to a rep who claimed to be the floor executive lead named "[redacted]", I was informed that she was unable to locate my account so ultimately nothing was going to be resolved tonight. Intern she was going to email corporate about the situation which was then that I was to be issued a full refund & that they would contact be in the morning. Then when I called back to see if they had a # to be reached at, she informed me that the email had nothing to do with a refund just the fact that I had called and they couldn't locate my account. This is also when she informed me that I would not be able to receive a full refund but only a 50% refund with sending the product back. This was astonishing to me and I was very unsatisfied with this, yet another lie. In addition my mother purchased the same product via the same method at the same time and DID NOT cancel any payment methods within 14 days and she was not charged a fee. Inconsistency & lies are the only thing to experience with this company. I will not be using, condoning, or recommending their products or existence after this experience.Desired Settlement: I feel that a full refund of the $120 dollars that was charged to my account post 14 days and the fee for shipping & handling of the product sufficient. In addition to a revision of their terms which informs consumers about the 14 day commitment prior to the purchase & not sent in the confirmation of their order after the fact.
