We are in receipt of complaint [redacted] for [redacted] Per research of the violation in question [redacted] Mr [redacted] incurred this violation by using an express E-ZPass laneOn May 9, Express E-ZPass lanes were implemented on the Garden State Parkway (GSP) at the Toms River toll plaza, lanes 6N and 7N, northbound, and 10S and 11S, southbound These lanes are located on the far left of the toll plaza for northbound and southbound traffic The express E-ZPass lanes enable drivers to maintain a highway speed of mph while the toll is automatically deducted from their E-ZPass account The cash lanes are situated to the far right of the toll plaza and are separated from the Express lanes by a concrete barrier that extends well before entry into the plaza I believe that you paid your toll at the plaza preceding Toms River, but no toll was paid at this plaza in the express lane because the express lane there are not toll booths and that you may have inadvertently gone through the express lane at Toms River

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The fine was not billed or paid to New York State Bridge Authority (NYSTA)It was paid to [redacted] , the collection agency of E-ZPass NY Service Center Violation Processing Unit after I had already sent a check to E-Z Passon 3/20/I recieved another notice from E-ZPass NY Service Center Violation Processing Unit demanding additional payment which would be the third payment made and taken from my accountViolation Number [redacted] , [redacted] and [redacted] Please review the payments processed and the additional requests for money that has already been paid Regards, [redacted]

Per my conversation with Mr [redacted] I explained that the reason for the multiple replenishments was because his account toll usage increased During 3/26/to 5/25/Mr [redacted] used $in tolls resulting in the need to replenish Mr [redacted] account times totaling $ The current balance on his account is negative $This amount includes the account balance along with the collection fee If Mr[redacted] returns the devices that are assigned to the account we will credit his account balance $per device totaling $If Mr [redacted] wishes to pay the balance with a credit card the payment can be made to the collection company [redacted] at ###-###-####Checks should be made out to NJ E-ZPass Customer Service Center The device(s) and check payment can be mailed to:NJ E-ZPass Customer Service Center [redacted] ***Attn: [redacted] I also explained to Mr [redacted] that if the violation(s) in question were in collections at the time he called the office then we would not be able to waive any violation fees, or if Mr [redacted] returned the violation form and did not submit the toll only payment as it is indicated in section Cfor violation dispute section the violation fee(s) would not be waived.A customer has days to dispute any violationsAfter, that timeframe the E-ZPass customer is responsible for the violation in full (fee and toll) To date Mr [redacted] has a total of violations and of them are collection statusPlease see below: [redacted] $occurred in [redacted] $occurred in 2015As a courtesy our violation department will grant the violation fees to be waived when we receive payment for the violation tolls listedPlease see below for amount due[redacted] $ [redacted] $ The other remaining violation fees can be waived if Mr [redacted] submits the toll payment only via check or he can call our violation department at ###-###-#### to pay via credit card as long the violations do not go to collection statusPlease see below for violations[redacted] $ [redacted] $[redacted] $[redacted] $[redacted] $[redacted] $[redacted] $ If Mr [redacted] has any more questions he can call [redacted] at ###-###-####

As 4/20/Mr [redacted] made a payment in the amount of $to remove his New Jersey E-ZPass account from collectionsThe collection fee of $was waived as wellAnother payment in the amount of $was paid for violation tolls only and the remaining tolls were sent to New York E-ZPass for processing so that they can post to his accountAll violation fees were waived that were in not collections.However, there are remaining violations that are open in collections, as the last courtesy we will waive half of the fees totaling $leaving the total of $This amount includes $in fees and $in tollsWe have advised Mr [redacted] that we will give him a call on 4/21/to settle the above balance

Per conversation with Ms. [redacted] we took a payment for the violation toll only over the phone in the amount $0.25. The violation fee was removed from collections and dismissed as a courtesy. No further action is needed.
