a particular location or particular property have the option to visit our

Priceline downgraded from the [redacted] a true four star hotel, to the Sheraton.  Also, the [redacted] is not located in a safe area unlike the [redacted] which is on the well lighted [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:  this particular hotel selection offered a room choice.  Most options do not offer this selection.  I actually got to choose my room offering two beds per room.  Don't offer this option if you cannot deliver.  False advertising and misleading!
I'm quite familiar with Priceline and have used this many times.  This option gives the customer false expectation to what they think they are purchasing.
Also, their customer service is quite short and impatient with my questions and concerns.  They have disconnected from my conversations three times!  Rude!

As we understand, you chose to dispute your purchase with your bank/card provider
because the return flight was not convenient for your travel needs, and you are
now requesting a refund or credit for future travel.
 
We have reviewed your reservation
and found that you selected our Name Your Own Price option and agreed to
certain terms and conditions, including the following condition:
 
·       "The airlines will
choose your flight times. Your trip will start between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and
you will arrive no later than 12:30 a.m. the next day."
 
Our record shows that you
received an itinerary within the specified time. Your return flight was
scheduled to depart from La Guardia Airport at 6:15 a.m. on May 17, 2015.
 
In addition, your contract also
stated the terms and conditions of your purchase, including the restrictions
that the ticket is non-refundable, non-transferable and non-changeable. By
submitting the request for booking, you indicated that you agree to the terms
and conditions stipulated; and, allowed our system to select the flight times
for you.
 
On February 28, 2015, we received
a message from your bank/card provider advising that the charge was disputed.
Our system automatically cancelled the reservation once the dispute was
initiated, as it is an indication that there is no intention to pay for the
purchase.

I am rejecting this response because: You failed to mention that the new hotel is a 30 minutes drive from the original hotel, and also would cost about $100-$150 less for the 3 nights which you refused to refund the different, please don't act like it's the same or better hotel just because they have the same stars level, i.e. a 1 star hotel in ** would cost more than a 3 stars hotel in a regular city. Just because you replace a 2.5 stars hotel with another 2.5 stars hotel doesn't mean it's the same level. Please next time at least offer to refund the different between the cost of the 2 hotels, the reason I canceled the reservation all together is because I can book that hotel that you offered as a replacement through [redacted] and save $150 or even start a new reservation through you guys and save almost at much which I choose not to do because of the level of customer service you offered.

Our record indicates that upon check-in on August 8, 2015, when the guest advised the front desk representative that she was not satisfied with the quality of the hotel, the hotel representative offered the guest the option to cancel the reservation. However, the customer declined this option.
 
On August 10, 2015, post travel; the customer contacted Priceline's Customer Service to request a refund for this booking. Priceline contacted the property concerning the guest’s refund request and we were advised that a refund is no longer available because the guest stayed at the property and used the reservation. The consumer/Bureau may contact the hotel directly for any further assistance.

that might support a more favorable conclusion. Unfortunately, there is nothing
we can add to what has already been stated in our previous correspondence. According

hotel as requested and is not located in one of the selected areas.
The consumer states:
“The
fact of the matter is the [redacted] is not a 2.5-star hotel based on
worldwide-accepted star ratings and it is also not safe (either by building
code or by crime in the immediate vicinity).”  
 
With priceline, consumers have a
choice. Consumers have the option to compare rates and select his/her specific
hotel, room rate, amenities, and location from a list of participating
properties or,  save even more money by
selecting our Name Your Own Price ® / Express Deals hotel service where the
consumer must agree to stay in any participating hotel that fits the consumer’s
star level and location (area) choices.
Upon review of the consumer’s claim, we found that the [redacted] is located within the boundaries

star rating selected on our website.  Our

 The 24 Hour price guarantee was not fully disclosed at time of purchase and even if it was, 24 hours is an unreasonable amount of time to find a better price. The hotel advised they were not provided any opportunity to address your complaints and will not authorize any refunds/compensations. As a gesture of goodwill, a refund in the amount of 126.35 USD was issued on October 25, 2016. This amount is 20% of your total reservation cost as a compensation. I am rejecting this response because:
The summary of charges was not available to me on the page nor did I initial (signature) on the page submitted by the business.  Furthermore I did not re-enter my payment information and agree to the charges stated. At this point the business is simply lying and I consider this fraudulent. The rental car company has agreed to cancel my rental for a full refund if Priceline submits a request. They have not done so thus far.
