Hi *** thank you for your review, we appreciate it! Welcome to the POWERHOME Solar family and being energized by the sun!

They just finished installing our 18 panel ground mount array today and we are very excited! The install crew was so nice and great at communicating with us. They left everything looking great and even put out new grass seed where they dug the trench. Customer Service has been friendly and helpful all along the way and I think this company is excellent! I can say this was a very smooth install, even with the weather putting us behind. Highly recommend Power Home Solar!

Poorly instillation to the point the state inspector said it was one of the worse he had seen alone with damages to roof and sheetrock from leaks
We ordered PowerHome Solar Panels from the Tim Y a sales rep on September *** 2018. We asked if we needed a new roof prior to purchasing the solar panels, due to knowing we could not afford that within our current budget (Power Home quoted us $9,600), and Tim responded that we would not need a new roof for five to eight years. We heard back and were able to get the panels installed on October 19th. Mrs. was told to confirm over the phone installation details, but as she was inside the whole time, was not informed nor had she seen the final installed product. The immediate noticeable concern was that the installation was completely different from an initial blueprint that the ***s had received.
October 26th there was a heavy rain and we noticed that our garage had a nice layer of water on the floor that came from two leaks in the roof from where the panels were installed. Mr. climbed on the roof in the rain and placed a new tarp as good as he could to prevent additional water from coming in the house. The panel installer was called and he stated he would come to fix the roof the following day but never showed. Only the following week, Power Home called to schedule an appointment for repairs.
As Mr. had been on the roof to look at the panels and noticed the panels were not supported and were not installed with care. Along with trash on the roof, there were shingles falling off and the heavy foot traffic messed the roof up along with panels being shoved into some shingles. A roofing contractor came to fix the leaks and also called out the poor installation.
The ***s reached out to PowerHome to discuss lack of installation quality and with little response, finally got someone's attention. November 20th there was still no communication from PowerHome and the ***s called to voice concerns and were connected with Magan P At that time, concerns on the lack of quality in installation and customer care was discussed. Magan received images of the work and agreed that the installation was done poorly. At this time, it was agreed that the panels would be removed to then be properly installed by another installation team. On November 27th, a new layout blueprint was provided to the ***s. December 3rd, a solar panel team came out and removed the solar panels from the roof and placed the panels and equipment underneath the back deck. A roofing contractor came out the following day and stated a new roof was needed. In following up with Magan, she stated that we would need to pay for a new roof. As we would have never made the purchase to begin with, this put us in a difficult situation. The ***s had to make several more inquiries to get Power Home to come and fix the holes left due to leaks in the garage and are still working with that situation and have found a contractor to install a new roof but Power Home *** not adjust the loan for that to happen. Power home did quote us $11,00 to get a new roof which was way more than the initial quote so we did not want to go through them for that reason.
The last resort was to get Power Home to pay for the front of the house only to get a new roof and they are now working on providing another quote for that to happen. We are left wondering where the third quote is coming from and how it *** change again

Desired Outcome

Fix damages done to roof due to poor instilation, as well as damages to sheetrock that accured from water damage after initial instilation. Alone with the solor instilation that was promised from the start that *** pass *** state inspection code or to cancle contract and receive funds to have another contract fix what was damaged.

POWERHOME SOLAR Response • Jan 08, 2019

Hi, we truly apologize for the difficulties and inconveniences that you have had as a result of our installation. We are working with you to address not only the needed repairs for your roof and sheet rock, and we will also get your solar system energized. Thank you for being a POWERHOME customer.

Customer Response • May 01, 2019

We got our panels fixed and turned on finally after 6 months. We were promised complementary items: insulation blown in our attics, recessed light covers, and light bulbs. When we inquired about the items, we were told the cost of the items would be taken off of our bill. Now when we have followed up with them, they are saying they are complementary and not included with the price. If they were complementary, we would like to receive them.

This is all after they tried to push a non-disclosure agreement so we could not talk to anyone about our concerns. An agreement that we never agreed to sign nor intend to.

POWERHOME SOLAR Response • May 01, 2019

Our Resolutions manager will be reaching out to address these issues and concerns. These will be rectified. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Even though there was a problem with the scheduling, the installers were excellent. They knew what they had to do and did it professionally. It is unfortunate that scheduling only allowed for one day when it was a 2 day job. When they came back it went smoothly but for us it had been very stressful. Now lets see if the results are what we expect.

POWERHOME SOLAR Response • Jan 09, 2019

Power Home Solar is an A1 company to work with. Their installation team was professional, highly experienced, and friendly. When the installation was complete, I received a phone call from the sales person to make sure I was completely satisfied with the work that was performed.

Thank you for your review, ***, it is appreciated! Glad to hear your experience with us was top-notch. All the best in going solar!

Lots of confusion on the front end with sales intention vs what the installers get on the tail end. Maybe if I hadn't waited 4 months to pull the trigger we would make sense of it all. 7 out of 10 panels paired, diagnostics guy came out and said he would have done things differently, recommended different routes after the fact. Maybe he should be the salesmen! (also give the install guys serious raises they do good work in terrible conditions)

Seems like a lot of these issues could be avoided if we walked the project before sending install crews out. A lot of confusion was created by this lack of a step here. All I really care about is not paying my electric bill. They installed them well, werent jerks, and did their job efficiently and without whining and moaning like some of the other reviewers below me. Installs are messy, people who complain are not going to get very far in life. Get the solar panels installed on your house. It has already bumped my home value up 20k since installing them.

Smooth install. The installers were courteous and professional. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking at solar power.
