Very impressed with the group we worked with! Everyone from the install team, to sales, to the HR over the phone they all had answers. Even when one lady was sick, someone else stepped up the next day to get me answers, and got everyone involved that needed to be to get the answers I wanted. We were also pleasantly surprised with getting upgraded NEST thermostats instead of the cheaper NEST thermostats like we expected! Thank you!
we love to hear when our teamwork is recognized and appreciated by our customers! Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and thank you for your business. All of our best wishes to you in going solar!
The install crew was on time, fast and clean for our business The Grafton Lodge Bed and Breakfast

20Kw solar system by PowerHome Solar LLC North Carolina was energized June 2018. *** HD-Wave inverter (exterior installation) stopped working sometime in early January 2019 (we cannot confirm exact date of failure because PowerHome was not remotely monitoring the inverter/system as promised during sales pitch by owner/partner Brandon G.
Homeowners need to manually check their system daily if they have a system installed by PowerHome Solar LLC. You will not be notified by PowerHome Solar if your system fails or is not producing power. Homeowners are on their own once the system is installed, once PowerHome Solar has received their final loan dispersement. Disregard the prompt customer service you are promised during the sales pitch.
On January 16, 2019 we just happened to notice our *** Inverter was not working and notified PowerHome Solar (Ohio home office). After speaking with several people, a service ticket was filed dated January 16, 2019. On January 22, 2019 we followed up with a call to PowerHome Solar Ohio home office and were then told the service call could take up to 14 days from date service ticket was filed (sometime between January 16th and January 30th). We were told during that third phone call we would be contacted by the North Carolina Field Project District Manager, but they would not give us his name. We were told this gentleman would call us before January 30th to schedule a service visit.
On January 30th, 14 days after the service ticket filing, we called back the PowerHome Solar Ohio home office (spoke with Akela) and she tried to reach the North Carolina Field Project District Manager while we were on hold. He could not be reached, so Akela left him a voicemail and explained he should call us back. She politely hung up the phone call by wishing us "good luck". Thursday, January 31, 2019 we finally received a service call (the first called returned without our constant follow up) from Kevin S, the North Carolina Field Project District Manager. We finally scheduled a service visit for Wednesday, February 6, 2019 ( 22 days after filing original service ticket). All of our solar equipment is on the exterior of our house, under a porch roof so Kevin S can visit/monitor/service and have access to our system at any time. Thankfully we do not have to take a day off from work to meet PowerHome Solar. We received a text message from Kevin S later that day (February 6th) stating the inverter needs to be replaced. Mr. Kevin S stated he would try to expedite the inverter replacement.
We followed up a week later February 14th with the Ohio home office, spoke with Keontaye, and discovered they were unaware of the status of the service claim. We had to notify the PowerHome Solar Michigan home office (the only phone number you can call for service) and update them about the faulty inverter. PowerHome Solar was unaware of the service status, had no idea if the replacement inverter was received from *** (the manufacturer), or if it was even ordered. Keontaye noted the updates and revelations on the service claim and tried to contact Kevin S North Carolina Field Project District Manager and left him another voicemail asking him to call the home office for status update. We heard nothing back. . .
We followed up again the next week on February 20, 2019 and spoke with Tia at the PowerHome Solar Ohio home office. Tia did not have any information except for what we gave Kenotaye the week prior. Tia put us on hold and tried to reach Kevin S North Carolina Field Project District Manager and left him another voicemail. We were told Tia would call us with an update.
Tia followed up the next afternoon, Thursday, February 21 and left us a voicemail stating she contacted Kevin S in North Carolina and stated he will "get back to us, be on the look out for his call."

Miguel’s crew from Power Home Solar installed my solar panels today. They did a great job, efficient and polite. Everything was done in one day. They cleaned everything up and explained everything they did clearly. The company is easy to deal with. They got all the permits and did all the scheduling. If I had any questions or concerns, they were answered quickly. Great company!

The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. The weather wasn’t great the day of my install - in fact it was freezing - but the crew worked tirelessly for 11 hours with smiles on their faces. Dare I even say they seemed to have fun?! I’m looking forward to the inspection and meter change so I can get upand running - but the install crew from PowerHome started this process off right.
Hi ***, so happy to hear that you had a great experience with our install team! Those guys really do a fine job, especially considering all that they battle through! Thank you for acknowledging it, and thank you for your business. Best wishes to you!
A very friendly and efficient company. Knowledgeable sales, simple financing, and timely planning. Installation was punctual and professional as well as very communicative.
