We did not receive any notification that they wished to cancel this trial. The 3 day trial has ended; therefore, they were charged the membership fee on the fourth day, and for every month thereafter.Given that members are granted unlimited searches and other services for a monthly fee, our Terms do not allow for refunds and simply allow users to cancel at anytime to avoid further billing. Per this customer's request  over the phone on 5/2/2015the membership was cancelled and there will be no further automatic billing. The charges are non-refundable per the Terms agreed to.

Per the Terms you agreed to and the usage on the account, the charge is non-refundable. As our service provides access to unlimited reports and other features for a membership fee, our Terms do not allow for refunds but simply allow users to cancel anytime to avoid future billing. Per your request over the phone on 9/17/2015 the automatic renewal of your membership was cancelled. Your membership will expire on 3/14/2016 and if you are free to access the service until that time.

I am rejecting this response because: I did call to cancel , they need to figure it out, I did call within the 3 day trial. Weather they find the information or not it isn't my fault I called and canceled and I wand to be refunded this is not fair and shouldn't be allowed.

It clearly states on the purchase page that the trial is .95 cents and $2.95 for the cancelation fee. No refund will be issued. Please refer Mr. [redacted] to go back to the website to review our fees.

I am rejecting this response because: I used the site a good while back. I personally called them, letting them know I was unpleased with them charging me for their membership in which at that time, was unaware that you had to cancel a membership. I had to " eat" that money loss cause even with explanation of my ignorance of it, would they refund my money. Now, with that being said, when I told my son to make sure he cancelled anything and everything to do with that company after using it, he did just that! Cancelled it! They , the company, took it upon themselves to not charge me once, but twice for something I didn't want, authorize, or need! This company is of the digital and computer kind. That can do and say whatever, and generate whatever to back up their response to you, the Revdex.com. I can honestly tell you, he cancelled the membership thing the same day. This company, The PeopleFinder, needs to be fined, sued, took off-line ; it's a joke and a way to take those who use it unknowingly, the company is gonna take more than 99¢ off their card.

and read the reviews for this company you will see that they do this to everyone. How was I supposed to cancel something I never knew about. How many people have they scammed like this???? How long before a class action law suit is filed. This is a fraud and theft. I have also filed fraud charges with the Attorney General's in Ohio and California. If this company does not refund the money they stole from me I will file complaints with every agency I can think of. One other thing doesn't "rewards" mean they give you something not take it from you??????

I am rejecting this response based on the fact that at the very least, the 29.95 membership charged last week should be refunded.

As a single Background Report on PeopleFinders.com is $39.95 we will refund the difference at $19.75 as a one-time courtesy. The remainder of $39.95 for a Comprehensive Background Report will be this customer's responsibility. Please allow 3-5 business days for this to fully process.

We do not state that the service is free. We state that there is a 3 day trial period of our membership If the customer does not want the membership , which is $24.95 a month, then they can cancel it and only pay $2.95 for the 3 days of usage. on Joy Ludwig for $9.95. This service was rendered. They purchased that report with the trial membership. Since they canceled the membership they were not charged the $24.95 monthly fee, they were only billed the $2.95 for 3 days as the website states. There will be no refund per the terms of use and service rendered.

Our terms of use state that our services are not refundable. We charge a fee to provide the public record information.  There are two options when selecting the report. A customer may choose to pay full price for a report or select the discounted price which comes with a trial period of our...

membership. The customer selected the discounted price. They then did not cancel out of the trial period. As we state on the site if you do not cancel within the trial period you will be charged for the membership. We have canceled the membership so that there are no further billings. We do see that the customer called and spoke with our customer care department. We offered a refund to them during that call and they declined our offer, there for we did not issue it. However, we will now refund the $29.95 for the report. We won't be refunding the membership fee. The customer was explained that during the phone call, and our policies are also listed on our website.

Please allow 2-5 business days for the refund to process back into your credit or debit card.

When the customer called they were issued one refund. We are now giving 3 more refunds. Totaling $99.80. Per the Terms of Use any previous months are not refundable. Our records do not show the customer cancelling their membership before 03/08/16. There will be no further billings.
