Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:It is true I had sent a letter of settlement just to take this off my credit reports ( see attachement) , I in no way stated the debt was mine, I quote from the fax sent (attached) " Its not to be construed as a acknowledgement of liablity shown, it simply was in the spirit of compromise to have it removed from my report. I have not received anything back from the fax from your company, but you did acknowledge below that you had received it dated 6/16/14. According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act(FDCPA), [15 USC
1692c] Section 805(c): CEASING COMMUNICATION: You must cease all
communication with me after being notified in writing that I no longer
wish to communicate with you. This debt is not valid, nor will be paid. This should be removed from all reports since its invalid.

Penn Credit does not create the ticket, nor the amount of the ticket. The amount is placed for collection from Orange County Clerk of Courts. They forward the account with the address of record with Florida DMV. Penn Credit received the account for collection on 10/27/2016 with a provided address of [redacted] Way, Winter Garden, FL 34787. Penn Credit sent the first notice to that address on 10/28/2016. I do not know if Mr. [redacted] address in Florida is still an alternate address for him and/or has mail forwarded if received at that address. Penn Credit found an address for Mr. [redacted] on December 20,2016 and sent another notice to that address on or about 12/23/2016. The add-on according to Florida code is done at the time of placement, so balance due to time isn’t an issue. If Mr. [redacted] has any additional questions or concerns please have them address them though the Revdex.com.
Penn Credit received an email from the consumer providing the same response. Penn Credit did respond to the email and asked her to verify the last 4 of her SSN and if it was a match that there may be a possible red flag / fraud situation and would handle accordingly. If it is not please inform her that I will send a deletion item through E-Oscar; that should delete the Penn Credit trade-line

I am rejecting this response because:this is not a true statement. they are a bunch of crooks. I only authorized a one time payment and that is it. I was going to go back on when I had the money and make additional payments. The postings online about this company are horrible. I want my money back.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I would like more clarity on the following two points:1. How did Penn Credit have my phone number in their system to begin with, considering this phone number has been on the Do Not Call list since 2010. 2. Is it legal to robo call numbers for which you have no prior relationship over debt collection?

Penn Credit did review and investigate the complaint. The account [redacted] is concerned about has been in our office for several years and we have sent notices in the past to the address mentioned in the complaint and none were returned.
Penn Credit has also been reporting this account to...
the credit bureaus for several years and would have appeared on any past reviews by [redacted].
The account that [redacted] is concerned of is not past the statute for reporting to the credit bureau; however, it is past the statute of limitations for debt in the state of Pennsylvania. We can attempt to collect on the debt; we just can’t pursue legal remedies. The account in question can be reported to the credit bureaus for seven years which would be January 2017.
I have updated the credit bureau to a disputed status in order to give [redacted] an opportunity to contact me to resolve his concerns.
If [redacted] would like to disucss the account in question please have him contact
Mr.Thomas P[redacted] directly toll free ###-###-#### or email him at [redacted]@penncreditcom

I am rejecting this response because I believe an unfair practice is perpetrated among Penn Credit and Delaware Department of Transportation. As stated many times before, I will gladly pay the toll amounting to $4.00, despite the fact that I had previously paid it with a toll booth operator to clear the debt. Neither business is willing to compromise regarding resolution of this matter.
Lastly, I was in receipt of a letter from Penn Credit, after filing the letter of dispute, sent certified mail on July 22 2014, which I communicated to Penn Credit to cease communication as per Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 US Section 1692c which states: (c) Ceasing communicationIf a consumer notifies a debt collector in writing that the consumer refuses to pay a debt or that the consumer wishes the debt collector to cease further communication with the consumer, the debt collector shall not communicate further with the consumer with respect to such debt, except—
(1) to advise the consumer that the debt collector’s further efforts are being terminated;
(2) to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor may invoke specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by such debt collector or creditor; or
(3) where applicable, to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor intends to invoke a specified remedy.
If such notice from the consumer is made by mail, notification shall be complete upon receipt.
Neither items 1, 2, or 3 of the act were followed, and it is my sincere belief that my rights as a consumer are in violation.

RE: [redacted]
Case: [redacted]
Penn Credit takes pride in following all Federal and State Collection calls.
The State of Maryland Comptroller placed an outstanding balance in our office for collection on 4/14/2014 in reference to the tax year of 2012. The required validation notice was mailed to [redacted] on 4/15/2014. Below is the breakdown of the tax amount due.
Tax amount due = $473.22
Interest amount due = $66.53
Penalty amount due = $82.24
Total amount due as of 4/29/2014 = $621.99.
I have requested our client provide additional details on the outstanding balance so we can forward to [redacted].
After reviewing the conversation [redacted] moved into the State of Maryland on October 19, 2012. I would suggest [redacted] contact the State of Maryland Comptroller’s office to determine what her next step would be to resolve or dispute the outstanding tax amount.
Thank you for your assistance in the resolution of this matter

Penn Credit reviewed and investigated the complaint. Penn Credit confirms that our records indicate the account referenced in this complaint was double paid to Penn Credit and the original creditor. After receiving this notification from Ms. [redacted], Penn Credit reached out to the...
original creditor to validate. Once confirmed, the original creditor advised Penn Credit to issue a refund. However, since Penn Credit remitted the payment to the original creditor, we had to wait for the original creditor to refund Penn Credit, so we could issue a refund to Ms. [redacted]. Once Penn Credit received the funds from the original creditor, we issued and mailed refund check number [redacted], in the amount of $166.60 to Ms. [redacted] on December 22, 2017. Penn Credit apologizes for the delay and inconvenience. If Ms. [redacted] still has not received her refund to date, please have her contact me directly. My name is Thomas P[redacted], I can be reached toll free at 1-800-800-3328 extension [redacted]; or emailed at [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance and resolution regarding the matter.
