Dear [redacted]: I am in receipt of the complaint you filed with the Revdex.com, which was forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office. As a liaison in this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank (DSNB), the issuer of your Macy’s Card. Our records indicate the last purchase on the above-referenced account was on December 6, 2015. [redacted]Re: Revdex.com ID #[redacted] Macy's account ending in [redacted]Dear [redacted]: I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com and forwarded to Macy's Executive Office....
As a liaison in this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank. Please accept my sincere apology for any confusion or frustration that may have been caused regarding the interest and late fees charged and for the problems you encountered in trying to resolve this issue.According to the terms of the enclosed Department Stores National Bank Credit Card Agreement, if the minimum amount due is not received by the payment due date as shown on your monthly statement, a late fee and interest charge are applied to your account. There are no over the limit fees or over the limit interest charges as you state in your complaint. For clarification, once a payment is not received by the due date, the minimum amount due will include any previous months' minimum amount past due, plus any unpaid late fees and the current month's regularly scheduled payment. In addition, any credits will lower the account balance; however, credits do not decrease the required minimum Now Due payment amount. Our records show that your billing statement for the period ending June 20, 2015, had a $631.93 balance with a $25.00 minimum payment due by July 20, 2015. When no payment was received by the due date a late fee in the amount of $25.00 and the interest charge in the amount of $12.85 were applied to your account. However, on August 7, 2015, during your telephone conversation with a representative, the $25.00 late fee and the $12.85 interest charge were credited to your account as a courtesy to you and your account was closed per your request. You will see this adjustment on your billing statement for period ending August 24, 2015 (enclosed). We received the $25.00 payment you made on July 22, 2015, and the $25.00 payment you made on August 10, 2015. The payments totaling $50.00 were not sufficient to pay the $75.00 minimum payment required for this billing cycle; therefore, you were charged a $25.00 late fee on August 20, 2015. In addition, we did not receive a minimum Now Due payment for your September 20, October 20, November 20, and December 20, 2015, and January 20, 2016, due dates. Late fees and interest charges were applied to your account for these months. Since the fees were properly charged, I must decline your request to remove the remaining late fees. As a courtesy, on April 26, 2016, I removed the $3.44 in interest and as of the date of this letter your Macy’s account is closed with a zero balance. Copies of your billing statements for the periods ending June 20, 2015, through March 24, 2016, are enclosed for your examination.[redacted], we are sorry for disappointing you in this matter, but we are required to adhere to specific policies and procedures so that all of our customers are afforded fair and consistent treatment. If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me at the telephone number listed below, as I would be delighted to speak with you.Sincerely,Rhea B.Macy's Executive Office###-###-#### Extension [redacted]Enclosures / mailed May 4, 2016cc: [redacted], Revdex.com

August 29, 2017 [redacted] [redacted] Re: Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted] Bloomingdale’s account ending in [redacted] Dear [redacted]: I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the...
Revdex.com and forwarded to Bloomingdale’s Executive Office. As a liaison in this office, I was asked to review and respond on behalf of Department Stores National Bank (DSNB). We regret any inconvenience you may have experienced as a result of this matter. Our records indicate that the account ending in 1179 was opened on June 11, 2017, at our [redacted] store. During the account application process, the applicant must verify all information input into the system is correct by signing the keypad before the application is considered. When you were approved for a Bloomingdale’s store card, a card was issued and sent via the United States Postal Service (USPS) in a plain white envelope. Our records indicate that the card was returned to us by the USPS on July 10, 2017, as undeliverable. Your first statement, for the billing period ending June 23, 2017, had a $355.22 balance with a $27.00 minimum payment due date by July 21, 2017, and was sent to the address recorded from your account application. The statement was returned to us as undeliverable on July 10, 2017. On that same day, our Consumer Protection Department blocked the account requiring an additional verification and an address update. When you called on July 14, 2017, stating you had not received your card, the account ending in 1179 was closed, and after updating your address to include your apartment number, we opened a new account ending in [redacted] and a new card was issued and mailed on July 16, 2017. During the call you were advised of the account balance and confirmed that all charges were valid with our representative. We received your $10.00 payment on July 14, 2017; however, the payment was $17.00 less than the $27.00 minimum payment due. Therefore, the account was charged a $27.00 late fee. This late fee plus new purchases totaling $228.71, less merchandise returns totaling $155.31, and plus an $8.25 interest charge, resulted in a $453.87 new balance with a $57.25 minimum payment due by August 21, 2017. This billing statement was sent to your corrected address. When no payment was received, the account was charged a $38.00 late fee and an $11.42 interest charge. These charges plus $74.63 in new purchases resulted in a $550.92 balance with a $99.42 minimum payment due by September 21, 2017. Enclosed are copies of your billing statements for the periods ending June 23, 2017, through August 25, 2017, as reference. For clarification, our calls are intended as a courtesy to remind customers of a recently missed payment, and are also an opportunity to assist our customers with maintaining a good payment and credit history with us. When we reached you on August 17, 2017, you advised that you were not able to make a payment by the August 21, 2017, payment due date, but did schedule a $150.00 payment for September 3, 2017, and would be setting up a monthly automatic payment. Please note that the account will continue to be charged late fees and interest per the terms of the DSNB Credit Card Agreement (“Agreement”). Per the terms of the Agreement, you must make at least the Minimum Payment Due as shown on your monthly billing statement by the Payment Due Date to avoid being charged late fees on the account. Once an account is past due, the minimum payment includes the previous month's past due amount and the current month's regularly scheduled payment amount. Although all late fees were charged correctly, on August 23, 2017, as a courtesy to you, I removed a $27.00 late fee from the account. In addition, I removed the internal thirty (30) day delinquency due to the address error. As of the date of this letter, your account balance is $550.92. [redacted], thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and allowing me the opportunity to respond. Should you have any additional questions, please contact me at the number listed below. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. My complaint is about the refund of this order. Macy's never shipped my order, which can be seen on the order details and UPS tracking info on the attachments. It has nothing to do with the shipping address. Macy's customer service said they mailed a gift card as refund to me, but I called a couple of times to tell them I did not receive the gift card. They were supposed to cancel the old gift card and mail a new one, but they did not. When I consulted the store regarding the refund and they finally told me that the gift card was used on Feb. 12. I did not do anything wrong about this order. Macy's has the responsibilities about the refund.First, Macy's could not provide any info regarding the refund, no shipping date, no tracking info of the refund. It is more than $500, I can't believe they don't have any shipping info about it. I don't even know if they just refund to somebody else.Second, Macy's should cancel the gift card after I told them I did not receive it. The order was placed on Dec. 22, 2015, they should process the refund shortly after that. But the gift card was used on Feb. 12. During this period I called them to send me a new gift card, and they did not even cancel the old one.I hope Revdex.com review the case again, and let Macy's issue me the refund. Thank you

Macy’s account ending in [redacted]
Dear
[redacted]:
I am
in receipt of your rebuttal complaint filed with the Revdex.com and
forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office. As
a liaison in that office, I was asked to respond on behalf of Department Stores
National Bank.
I regret that you were not satisfied
with our office’s previous responses to your concerns regarding our collection
department’s practices. Please note that
all of the late fees have been removed from your account totaling $120.00. Your account has been placed on a payment
plan as requested. If you are viewing
your billing statements, they will reflect the required minimum payment due as
calculated according to the terms of your account. The payment plan allows you to make a smaller
payment than the minimum due on the account.
It also stops late fees, collection calls, and may also reduce the
interest rate for the length of the program.
[redacted], I hope this
letter rectifies any issues you thought were outstanding. Should you have any other questions, please
feel free to call me at the number below.
Sincerely,
Rhea B.

Office. As a liaison of this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank (DSNB). We sincerely regret any frustration this matter may have caused you. I was disappointed to hear of the misinformation you were provided from our store representative in our [redacted] store location when applying for a Macy’s [redacted] Card. Our records show that on December 27, 2016, you applied for a Macy’s [redacted] Card. As part of the application process, the store associate provided you with the DSNB Credit Card Agreement. As stated in the DSNB Credit Card Agreement provided to you at the time of the application, “we may gather information about you, including from your employer, your bank, credit bureaus, and others, to verify your identity and determine your eligibility for credit, renewal of credit, and future extensions of credit. Under federal law, with every credit card application we must determine the applicant’s ability to repay additional credit. This is accomplished by reviewing your annual income information provided at the time of the application to the minimum payments due on all of your existing loans, as well as the amount of household expenses you provided on the application. Additionally, we look at the credit bureau information we receive. Unfortunately, we could not approve you for an account. On December 30, 2016, we sent to you an adverse action letter (enclosed) detailing the reason(s) your application was declined. Regarding your request to delete the application inquiry from your credit report, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, it is the responsibility of the credit reporting agencies to remove information from credit reports. Respectfully, I am unable to remove the inquiry from your credit report, as you have agreed to notices and credit terms. filed with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CP3) and the Bette Business Bureau, which were forwarded to Macy's Executive Of lice on July 13, 2017. Our records show that you represent [redacted] regarding matters concerning the Macy's account referenced above. Therefore, I was asked to review and respond directly to you regarding his concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank (DSN3),I apologize for any possible confusion your client may have regarding the reporting status of his Macy's account to the credit reporting agencies. Our records indicate that [redacted] Macy's account charged off on November 17, 2014, with a balance of $4237.89. At that time, we ceased collection efforts on this account. On January 1, 2015, his account was deemed uncollectible for the 2014 fiscal year. Therefore, the account was considered taxable income by the IRS and reportable on Form 1099C. The issuance of a 1099C does not change [redacted] obligation to pay the debt on this account. Although the merchandise balance of $3485.55 on Macy's account was reported to the IRS for the 2014 tax year, the balance of $4237.89 remains on our records and continues to report as an unpaid charge-off to the credit reporting agencies. On March 24, 2017.. our Fraud Department received a letter from [redacted] and a Statement of identity. complaint forwarded to Macy’s Executive Office by the Revdex.com. As a representative of this office, I was asked to review and respond to your concerns on behalf of Department Stores National Bank. Please accept my sincere apology for any frustration you may have felt when trying to resolve this issue. As a company committed to outstanding customer service, Macy’s goal is to have professional and courteous associates available within every department so that all of our customers may have a positive and rewarding experience. Be assured that we do not tolerate any kind of rude or disrespectful behavior. Although it is disheartening to hear that we did not meet your expectations, your feedback is valuable to us, as it directs our attention to areas in which we can improve our service quality. Macy's has a very liberal return policy. With a receipt, we will accept an exchange or return merchandise that does not completely satisfy you. Some exceptions and restrictions on selected merchandise do apply and are posted in these specific departments. Macy's uses a return verification system and all returns and/or exchanges are subject to validation and approval. With a receipt or proof of purchase, a refund will be credited back to the original form of payment used or if you prefer, a store credit will be issued. Without proof of purchase, you may be issued a store credit for the item's lowest selling price within the past 180 days. I contacted the [redacted] Store Manager and Administrative Supervisor in regards to the situation. The [redacted] purse you brought into our [redacted] Store for repair was not a current product and we were unable to locate any proof of purchase. A manager was reached, who requested your information so we could locate your Macy’s account transaction history to locate the receipt for your purse. You were then advised we would contact you once our research was complete. The manager was unable to locate the [redacted] purse in your transaction history; therefore, since no proof of purchase was available, the ticket information from a current in-store purse that was similar to your [redacted] purse was used for the return. Our associate contacted and advised you of this decision, to which you agreed. The transaction was processed as a return and you received an EZ Exchange card for the clearance price ($48.11) of the current in-store purse. After the return was processed, the [redacted] purse and an [redacted] item were purchased using the EZ Exchange card, two gift cards, and your Macy’s credit card. Unfortunately, we do not have a repair vendor in store and the [redacted] purse is no longer in our possession. It was processed with other damaged items and sent back to the original merchant. If you are unhappy with the [redacted] purse, you may bring it back into the store with your proof of purchase and a full refund will be returned to you in the form of tender used to purchase the item.
