I have done cryotherapy previously with another company and like it so I purchased a voucher for 10 sessions on Friday 10/29, the merchant is closed Sat-Mon but I was able to schedule my first session for Tuesday 10/3. After being checked in (at which time they took my voucher) I was informed that this merchant uses a different method to do this treatment. Due to my claustrophobia I am unable to do the therapy using their method. The merchant told me to contact living social about getting a refund which I did immediately both via phone and via e-mail. In both instances assistance was declined (even when I offered to accept living social credit in lieu of a refund to my card). I would like some assistance in working with living social because I believe they are being unreasonable in regards to my situation, and on their website they advertise a "good deal guarantee" where if I contact them within fourteen days (which this has been) they claim they will work with me to make things right if I am dissatisfied. Due to the fact that I have a medical condition, and was unable to identify that the method of delivery on this therapy was different than most other places until more than 3 days was passed along with the advertisement of a "good deal guarantee" I feel that I have a case to issue a refund/credit in the amount purchased.
On 7/4/2017, I purchased 3 vouchers for admission to the California Academy of Sciences. The total for 2 adult tickets and one child ticket was around $100. They made a mistake on the prices and refunded me $2.00, so I think the total was around $97.85. The problem was that these vouchers never showed up in my account so I could never print them out to use them. This same problem has also occurred with 2 other purchases. I contacted customer service many times via email. They were never able to fix the issue. I did everything they asked. I cleared my cache and cookies. I sent them screen shots of the error messages I'd get and they said they'd research the issue and get back to me. They never emailed me back. These vouchers expire in 90 days from purchase. Finally I had to *** to find a phone number and I called in to get a refund. They said I only had 3 days after purchase to get a refund but I said they never delivered the items I purchased. They offered to email me the vouchers 2 days before they expired, which wasn't sufficient time for my husband to get time off work and my son also has school. I've asked multiple times for a refund. The customer service supervisor has stopped communicating with me and now the vouchers, which still don't show up in my account, are expired.
Hi ***
Thank you for reaching out to us through the Revdex.com. We appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. I have reviewed your most recent comment and all internal Living Social correspondence.
With regards to your concern with California Academy of Sciences vouchers, this is not the kind of experience that we want you to receive with any deal on LivingSocial. We apologize for all the frustration, and for all the back and forth. For your refund request, we have a 3-day cancellation refund policy from the date of purchase for all Local deals, however when we reviewed all vouchers with California Academy of Sciences, we noticed that we can process a trade-in. You can exchange the voucher for an equal value of Deal Bucks. The Deal Bucks you receive from this Trade In are eligible toward the purchase of any Local deal on LivingSocial.
If you would like to take advantage of this option please reply to the email we sent a moment ago from [email protected] for us to assist you further.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I've replied to their email twice and no one is responding to my questions. They're not offering to refund my money, even though they never delivered the items I purchased. They're only offering credit on their website and they didn't tell me the amount or how long I have to use the credit. Previously one person told me I only had 24 hours to spend the credit and that's not enough time. Now, I've asked them questions about their offer and they haven't responded. This is how horrible their customer service is.
To me, store credit isn't sufficient given that they're not responding to me. It's not like I changed my mind about the purchase, it's that they vouchers were never delivered. I spent nearly $100 and I want a full refund. The hassle of how long this has taken and how they haven't responded to any of my complaints and emails is cause enough for a refund.
Sincerely
Hi ***
Thank you for reaching out to us through the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your most recent comment and all internal LivingSocial correspondence. We appreciate you responding to our email at ***@livingsocial.com and providing the necessary information needed.
I am sorry that we weren't able to immediately get back to you regarding your complaint. Regarding your questions about the Self-Service Trade-In you mentioned that you won't be able to use your deal bucks within 24 hours. I would like to clarify that after 24 hours the credit will be reinstated in the same voucher if it was not used after initiating the Trade-in. But no worries, you still have the option to initiate the Trade-In again or you have the option to use the partial amount of the credit issued and the left over balance will be non-expiring deal bucks available for your next LivingSocial purchase.
With regards to the amount of credit that will be issued; once you process the Trade-In for all three vouchers, you will receive a total amount of deal bucks credit of $94.85.
Here's the specific details per voucher until when you can initiate the Trade-In: voucher number ***: self-service trade in available until 11/05/2017 voucher number ***: Self-service trade in available until 11/13/2017. However, I've noticed that this voucher number *** self-service trade-in was available until 10/16/2017, since it's already past the self-service option, just reply to the email we sent a moment ago from ***@livingsocial.com and we can initiate the trade-in for you.
Thank you for understanding.

Purchased a Living Social deal last year. The deal expired. The deal still offers face value of amount paid with no expiration. I contacted Living Social as I am having issues still getting my deal honored. Asked for assistance with use or a refund (being that I paid for the deal). Representative informed me that no refund will be given, but never offered advice nor offered help to use the deal even though I expressed my troubles with use. I contacted the representative back and advised that my issue had not been resolved. I was told that my concern would be forwarded to a supervisor. I have emailed back numerous times, because I have yet to hear anything. My emails continue to be ignored. I am becoming very frustrated that no one has been willing to help me. It has been two weeks with no response from anyone. I will NEVER support this business again. All I wanted was simple kind customer service.

We apologize for the delay in response and we don't mean any inconvenience with your LivingSocial service experience. We appreciate you raising this concern to our attention.Upon checking, it appears your voucher with Dealflicks.com expired on February 28, 2016. Tried to use $10 credit - Merhcant refused to let me use it with statement claiming I had already bought the maximum allowed (pf changs) on 9/21/2017
When I comlained they claimed "it was sold out" even though still being sold on website
Since it became apparent merchant was purposely refusing to let me use my credit and had lied to me I informed them I no longer wished to do business with them and to refund my credit of $10.
Merchant refuses to do so.

With regards to your complaint about your experience with LivingSocial, this is not the kind of experience that we want you to receive with any deals. We appreciate you raising this concern to our attention.
We understand that you want to use your deal bucks in purchasing the deal for *** Food at ***. We are sorry but during the time that you are trying to purchase this deal, it is no longer available or sold out. Please be advised that we offer a limited number of vouchers for any deals running in our site.
And regarding your request to have the refund of $10.00 deal bucks on your credit card or additional credit of $125, unfortunately we are unable to refund the deal bucks credit back to your credit card. This deal bucks credit was issued when you requested for a refund on July 3, 2017 for One Eyebrow Wax voucher from *** Skincare that was purchased on May 1, 2017. We made an exemption by refunding it back in a form of deal bucks since it was past our cancellation window of 7 days from the purchase date. The good thing about the deal bucks issued is that it will never expire and will be automatically be applied on your next LivingSocial purchase.
We don't mean any inconvenience and as a compensation, we have issued an additional $10.00 non-expiring deal bucks credit immediately available on your LivingSocial account.
If you have further question you can reply to the email we sent a moment ago from ***@livingsocial.com
Thank you for understanding.

In May I purchased a deal for 2-4 hours of cleaning, set to expire 10/7. After multiple attempts to schedule a cleaning using the instructions on the voucher, the company never responded. At that point, I contacting LivingSocial for a refund.
Even though their product was not redeemable, they didn't want to give me a cash/credit/check refund and instead offered me Deal Bucks. I accepted, under the condition that I'd be able to use it for a similar cleaning service. The woman I spoke to also said that if there are issues redeeming this next one, I'd be able to get a full refund.
I purchase a new cleaning deal for 5 hours of cleaning, costing MORE than the original deal and I try multiple times to contact them and schedule my cleaning. When I call, they have a Google voicemail that doesn't mention their business name. I take my chance and leave a message. And then I do it again. And then the third time there is still nobody answering the phone...
At this point I realize that LivingSocial is obviously not finding credible cleaning services and offering fake deals on their site. Two in a row that won't even return a phone call to schedule? This isn't a question of service quality, it's NO service. I made not one but TWO purchases that were not fulfilled.
I call LivingSocial to get a real refund - I don't want Deal Bucks. I wanted a cleaning service deal and Living Social clearly can't offer that. Now I want a credit to the card I used to purchase the deals or a check to cash.
I also think LivingSocial is knowingly scamming customers. Even though I made them aware of the inability to reach the second cleaning service (*** Residential) the deal is still listed on their site... with 1 out of 5 stars based on 3 reviews and none of these reviews are me.

With regards to your complaint about your vouvher for A and J Cleaning, you've never had any intention to cancel this deal but the merchant seems to be unresponsive. Though it was not your fault, we strictly follow 7 days refund policy for this deal that is why by the time you contacted us, the deal was ineligible for refund to your original form of payment. Since you are one of our valued customers, we credited the deal in a form of deal bucks for you to be able to purchase another deal and will automatically apply on your next LivingSocial purchase.
With your refund request about your *** Residential voucher, this voucher amounted to $105.00, automatically the $87.09 deal bucks credit was applied and $17.91 was debited from your credited card. We are able to process a refund on September 19, 2017 since you contacted us within the 3-day cancellation window . The $87.09 deal bucks credit was re-instated and expect that the $17.91 will be credit to your card within 10 business days.

I am rejecting this response because:
They have yet to accept that their first customer service rep misled me. They also haven't recognized that they continue to keep these fraudulent companies services listed on their site, despite multiple complaints, poor reviews and the companies not responding.
There's no need to pursue this further, I've given up and will use my credits for something else and then no longer do business with LivingSocial. I appreciate the Revdex.com trying to assist.
Sincerely
You can close the complaint. I'm unhappy with the outcome, but I don't think there is anything more that can be done.

I purchased a LivingSocial voucher for $47 for a murder mystery dinner. I called the theatre 5 different times in the past 18 months attempting to make a reservation. Every time I called there was no availability. LivingSocial took my money but is refusing to refund or credit my account to purchase a different voucher that I can use somewhere else. I called them today and refused once again.

I purchased a travel deal with Living Social for *** Cabo San Lucas on May 1st 2012 for $799. I didn't get to use the voucher for there was an illness in the family but I was told that the value I paid for the deal would not expire and I could use the value at a later date. About 2 years later, in 2014, I was ready to book and use the credit but the resort wouldn't let me book. I called living social to try to get this resolved and after some time they said I could still use the credit when ready. In January 2016 I had the time off work to plan a vacation and use the credit but once again I couldn't book a room with it. The resort kept transferring me to different people, gave me a couple of email addresses but I got nowhere. I called Living Social twice about the issue and I haven't received any follow up even though they said they would contact me with some resolution. I called them about 2 weeks ago and I haven't received any assistance regarding this.
Hi ***

With regards to your complaint about your All-Inclusive *** Resort voucher, this is not the kind of exprerience that we want you to receive with any deal on LivingSocial. We appreciate you raising this concern to our attention.
We contacted the business concerned and raised your issue. We were informed by the establishment that they already spoke with the managers at all of their locations and no one has any record under your name contacting them nor any record of turning down paid value of voucher from LivingSocial.
With your refund request, we are unable to process this request since this voucher is non-refundable, however we would like to assure you that you can still use the paid value of the voucher and we have endorsed your concern accordingly.
If there is anything else we can help you with, you can reply to the email we sent a moment ago from ***@livingsocial.com

I purchased a deal for $12 for $20 worth of food from *** Restaurant in Lakewood OH. This place is a half an hour away and I rushed to go before coupon expiring. When I get there the Waitress tells me they will not accept because they never participated in this offer. I immediately called Customer service to get a foreigner to tell me it will take 72 hrs for a resolution. She didnt understand that they would NOT accept the voucher. Upon reading other complaints seems like this is typical for this company and should be shut down. My next step is contacting the *** and look into a Class Action suit

Maybe an explanation of why this happened would be a great start! Also, I should be compensated for the ONE TIME ONLY $10 discount which I can not use now. Or at least given the discount to use on another deal that is actually participating.

DO NOT BUY FROM LIVINGSOCIAL!! I placed an order for a video game console at this store recently because they advertise a discount on it. But my order was cancelled without giving any reason or apology. If they are not going to honor the price why did they advertised it? it is totally a scam and cheating just to get clicks for their page. It is waste of my time and made my kids very unhappy. AVOID BAD STOER LIKE THIS!
