I am rejecting this response because:Hi [redacted]! I thought this was resolved, but H&R Block never refunded my money and then the IRS charged me $100 for late fees! I called H & R Block last November and spoke to a man there who said they would refund me, and that the check would take several weeks - it never came. I just called H & R Block and waited on hold for exactly one hour before hanging up. Do I need to start a complaint file all over again from the beginning, or is there a way to tag it to this closed file?

Dear Revdex.com, In resolution to this matter, our H&H Block Disputes/Fraud department has reviewed Ms. [redacted]’s concerns about possible Emerald Card fraud very closely.  The amount of funds disputed by Ms. [redacted] have been loaded back onto her Emerald Card as of 4/18/2016....

Also, $18.00 in fees that were assessed on the account have been refunded as well. As a result, we consider this matter resolved. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as it stands at this point.  I was informed by [redacted], from the corporate office of H & R Block, that I would be receiving a check in the mail from the [redacted] H & R Block.  I have not received it as of yet but it may come in next week.  Also the matter will not be completely solved until the IRS issues penalties on the late filing of the federal income tax for 2014.  [redacted] assured me that H & R Block would pay any and all penalties that I may incur due to the [redacted] H & R Block's failure to file our taxes.  Until that time, I consider the case not to be fully resolved.

Dear Revdex.com,After review of Mr. [redacted]'s 2016 tax return, we firmly stand by our preparation of the tax returns as it is our belief the returns were prepared correctly with the information provided by Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted]'s tax preparation fees were $405.75 and was provided a...

discount while at his appointment of $50, bringing his total down to $355.75. While in the office, Mr. [redacted] paid for his preparation fees after they were presented to him and his return was filed. Mr. [redacted] needed to file a 1040 form, Schedule A, 8283 Non-cash Contributions, 3903 Moving Expenses as well as Arizona and Colorado state returns. Mr. [redacted]'s pricing for these services is correct. Therefore, we must respectfully decline Mr. [redacted]'s request for tax preparation reimbursement.  As a result, we consider this matter resolved. H&R Block prepares millions of tax returns each year, and if we do make an error, we are committed to making the situation right. I am rejecting this response because: One of the first reasons why we want to reject this response is because we have not heard from H&R Block and tomorrow is the 14th day, in which they stated that they would contact us if the funds were not returned or if they  did not receive a response from [redacted]. Another reason why we want to reject the response is because the mistake was made by one of their tax associates and [redacted] will not accept any blame for the mistake. Instead, they now say that if they cannot resolve the issue within 14 days, that we will have to deal with [redacted] ourselves to get the money. However, when we were in the process of trying to receive the funds by going to the IRS as H&R Block directed us, even the IRS stated that they could not help us and that the money was in the "H & R Block bank." Also, when we talked to an H&R Block regional manager he told us that the funds were in the "H&R Block bank" as well.  We feel that this cannot be the banks mistake because the bank only processed the routing numbers that H &R Block provided them, but they were the wrong routing numbers. We knew of this issue because the associate's fellow coworkers found that she had used the old routing numbers to process our tax returns. We are trying very hard to be patient with H&R Block. We never thought H&R Block and their services would become this difficult. We really hope that you can continue to help us and give us guidance at the very least. Dear Revdex.com: In response to this matter, our investigation reflects that Ms. [redacted]'s complaint is against a franchise office which has the responsibility to resolve this matter directly with your office and directly with the client. After further review of this matter, records reflect that the tax professional was not made aware that the property was sold in 2014 at a loss and that the property had been converted to a rental property until after the amended return, completed free of charge, was submitted to the IRS.  Additionally, records reflect that the partial refund check for $50.00 was sent to 2423 Annadale Drive, [redacted], SC 29621 and was cashed on June 21, 2016.It is the Franchise Associate, [redacted]'s belief return was prepared correctly with the information provided by Ms. [redacted] and that the partial refund was a client service, good faith effort to resolve this matter. However, if Ms. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns regarding the fees that were charged she may contact her local H&R Block office directly. We assure you that we take the concerns of our clients seriously and make every effort to resolve matters thoroughly and fairly.
